I can imagine Isak wanting away this summer. We won't be able to provide him with CL football.
-
This is what I think happens. I think we'll be quoted too high and the club will use the excuse they do t want to make the same PSR mistakes as last time where they are scurrying around to sell players they don't want to in June.
-
I read that as the inner workings of a working men's club at first for some reason 😂

Said this at the game last night. one of the lads by us made the good point he maybe just doesn't trust his shoulder fully after the injury. He can't protect himself fully when landing after catching the ball so he's punching instead. I always felt it was one of his best skills previously coming out and plucking the ball from the air on crosses and set pieces.

Think we'll have a similar approach to this as Sunday but with a more conservative team. Kelly for Hall and Murphy for Almiron -
What are we actually good at? I've struggled to see any identity or play style this season.
-
Isn't this the exact thing they did following Ellis Short over spending and then resulting in them being owned by Donald 😂
-
I don't think Bruno and Joelinton have been much better.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Newcastle United (15/09/24) | Reaction: pg 51

We must be one of the least dangerous teams in possession. We have no plan to break teams down except get it wide and cross it in when we have 0 aerial presence. We only ever look dangerous in transition. -
Just wait until we get given the no value in the January window line in a few months time...
-
I agree with the idea of a process of identifying players of a certain profile however, surely there is plan A B and C to pivot to if your number one target (Ghuehi) doesn't come off. One first team player in three transfer windows is poor whichever way you dress it up.

Feels like a deals unlikely if after a second bid we're still over 15 million apart
-
People need to realise this is modern football now and unfortunately the players fans want to get rid of other clubs don't want to pay for.
-
That's all good and well but they've got to convince these players to come and stump up the cash for them. We need a much better summer than last year.
-
From start to finish couldn't sum it up any better.
-
I believe if uefa could bring it in so at least the top 5 leagues had a set budget of what they could spend on transfers and wages that would be fairest way. It could help even out the standards between the leagues also if done properly. Just a set amount so none of this cloak and daggers of working out how close to the limit a team is like the current FFP model.
-
I will say what is refreshing is the open communication and not being kept in the dark as we have in the past. At least they're open about it. No doubt they'll reinvest the money the question is will they identify the correct players and get best value for money?

This is the interview I was referring to. I interpreted that as expect a player sale coming this summer to further invest in the team. He gave an example of selling a player for £50 million profit and there's only 3 players that fit that criteria (or close to) Isak, Bruno and Botman.
-
It was Eales interview on the club site I was referring to

Hate to be negative but I can't see the point in selling the likes of Bruno or Isak if Solanke is the level of player we are looking to obtain. Feels like recruitment wise has been a big anticlimax since qualifying for the Champions League thought we really would have kicked on.

No blood on their hands Just black and white paint -
Said to me brother at the match yesterday he's probably one of the best playmakers at the club in our lifetime and he plays right back. ? Its mental.

Is he scared of upsetting Bruno?
