  1. He's done a very good job averaging 1.25 points per game. I'm happy with that, especially after his dealings in the transfer window.
  2. There was a West Ham fan on TalkSport yesterday praising Allardyce for his work there.
  3. Percentages don't tell the whole story. Under Keegan it always felt like we were improving and going forward. With FS it felt like we were stagnant and dull as f***. Just having safety is boring. Football is meant to be entertaining and exciting. Keegan was exciting, FS was boring. I can understand that, that's why I said you deemed him not good enough for you.
  4. 33.3% win percentage seems to suggest otherwise. Better than Keegan's second spell over a similar length of time. http://i65.tinypic.com/34fmrf8.png
  5. Well considering in the last 20 years you've almost won the PL, been in the Champions League several times, and even finished 5th under Pardew, I suspect your expectations are higher than ours, and probably rightly so. Just like our expectations would be higher than many Championship clubs. If we had a period similar to what Newcastle have had in the last 20 years then I'd guess our expectations would be raised but at the minute I'm more than happy with Allardyce.
  6. We had 3 points from 9 games when Sam came in. We've averaged 1.25 points per game since he arrived. That kind of return would get you about 47 points for the season. I'd be more than happy with that. Also his signings have been brilliant. Kirchoff for £750,000 is an absolute steal. Kone is a beast and Khazri has been immense. I understand why Newcastle fans slag off Allardyce, you deemed him not good enough, but for us he seems like a great fit because our expectations are less.
  7. He couldn't be sentenced before the court case man, but I agree he should have been suspended after what Byrne was told.
  8. First you say you're not bothered if Rafa stays then your saying you'd rather be in the Championship with Benitez in charge It was Allardyce's signings which kept us up so I'm pretty confident he'll do a decent job for us. I'll be happy with mid table after the last few seasons.
  9. This is true. Nationality is irrelevant. Kone and Kaboul, alongside Cattermole, have been our most passionate players this season and ended up being one of the reasons why we stayed up.
  10. Not yet, but I'll be the first to tell you when one of the f*ckers turns up One of my best mates is a Newcastle season ticket holder and goes to almost every away game. As soon as we won on Wednesday I sent him my sincere commiserations. That won't stop me taking the p*ss (in a nice way) next season as he has with me for many years. Also the place where I work is about 50/50 so I've had a bit of fun with them too, but again nothing too stupid. It'll be my turn when things change around again, as they surely will. I said when I signed up here I wasn't here for the usual slanging match. Nowt's changed.
  11. I don't and neither does any Sunderland fan I've spoken too. I remember an FA cup quarter final a few years ago where we drew at Goodison and Everton had to come to the SoL midweek for the replay. Our lot thought they just had to turn up. There was 44,000 there and the place was jumping. Everton played us off the park and won 2-0 but it could have been much more. The fat woman hasn't even done her vocal warm ups yet.
  12. Not just smug but clearly quite thick. It's not over yet.
  13. Are you implying that Newcastle are above his level?
  14. He's got 18 goals in an absolutely sh1t team man! There's nowt spawny about it, he's a different class. If you had Defoe you'd be nowhere near the relegation zone now, I have no doubt about that.
  15. It wasn't a freak win. We played them off the park.
  16. It's the worst we've played in ages. We struggle to contain players like Crouch. Just look at Mitrovic's goal at your place to see how poorly we handle players who are good in the air. I'm delighted with a point but 3pm next Saturday is going to be unbearable
  17. I don't know about that. Palace gave a great performance yesterday and were unlucky not to get at least a draw. There's nowt wrong with getting lucky, we deserved sfa yesterday and got a point. I've voted 7 but if you had a poll for Sunderland I'd probably vote the same. If you beat Villa next week and we don't beat Chelsea then it's game over for us.
  18. In precis: figures per 100,000 per capita of obese NHS admissions: Newcastle - 28 Gateshead - 69 Durham - 98 S. Tyneside - 102 sunderland - 135 So that's that mackem myth put to bed. Try skipping Greggs for breakfast next time you wobbly nonces..... I was in Asda in Leechmere yesterday. I think the figures you quouted may be too low
  19. It looks like Hermann Göring, that can't be good.
  20. Massive day today. I'm convinced you lot will dispatch of Palace quite easily and so we desperately need to beat Stoke. I can't see Norwich getting anything against Arsenal considering how poor the Canaries were against us and Arsenal's home form. I'm more nervous today than I've been for a while thanks to the Fat Waiter I wish it was 5pm already
  21. I shouldn't laugh but what else do we have? At least you lot have had a few good seasons in the Premier League. My overriding memory is of us being relentlessly sh1t apart from a few games at the end of each season and on derby day. I won't miss it.
  22. We'd probably be better off if only one team went down. Getting out of the Championship would be a nightmare with both of us there.
  23. No we don't, we can even afford to lose one if you only draw because of our superior GD. I'm not implying we're safe, not by a long way, it's too close to call for me especially as both Newcastle and Sunderland seem to be finding a little bit of form.
  24. Really? Then they clearly don't understand football. Even Palace are not safe yet. I'm glad we're out of the bottom 3 and have a game in hand on you lot, but we're not even close to being safe yet.
