I wonder how close he will get to Newcastle before he turns around and head back to Swansea because we cant agree fee!!!

If rafa gets the boot I would love to see a virtually empty ground for the next home game #ifrafagoeswego!

Has nobody checked the planes destination?

It's as clear as day that Ashley has no intention of releasing transfer funds. What he wants is rafa tied to a long term contract with a release clause if another club country comes calling or rafa resigns. Once that contract is signed he will simply impose a sell before you buy rule but no purchases can exceed our existing transfer record of £17m. That means if we sell Mitrovic for £20m his replacement will not excede £17m and Ashley gets to trouser a minimum of £3m.

Yet anothet example of lazy journalism!! Winaldum cat get a guaranteed place in first team so they speculate that we might bring him back. Same with Townsend but at least he didn't go missing in away games!!!

It seems to me that Ashley won't spend big because he wants the books to balance with no outsanding debt in order to make the club an attractive prospect to any potential buyer. Trouble is the fat git seems to think that makes the club worth more than potential buyers are prepared to pay.

He was average at best. He was far from average he almost single handed kept us in the epl.

£15m for a 29 year old, that's a cracking deal in my view.
-
Even if we did get Rashford on loan it would only be until Jan. Man u will want him available for the run in just in case lukaku gets injured.

Got to keep Mitro on our books until after WC. His value could increase significantly if he has a good WC. I9 8

As far as I'm concerned Rafa is as good ad gone. One year left on his contract with £6m buy out clause and making demands for control over transfers and a demand for a sizeable transfer budget is a no brainer for Ashley. Cash in by allowing Rafa to join w ham and appoint parsnip again just to piss us off again.

Southgate will go with steady and reliable rather than match winners with flair so that's Shelvey well and truly binned.

I thought that was allowed but doing it was banned later. Yes I do believe you are right. Great innovation I thought.

Willie Carr's donkey kick goal for Coventry City that was unfortunately disallowed.

Looks to me that Ashley has decided to stay so he can cream another £100m of tv money before he looks to sell for £400m -

Arsenal love sjp. It's years since they lost here. -
I haven't heard about anything recently, however IIRC way back in the 1800s a businessman named Ambrose Crowley started a metalworks in sunderland. It obviously took advantage of the local labour on hand, augmented by the expertise of some of his Belgian workforce. Now, as I remember the story the mackems were so awful to work with that he moved his works to Winlaton, where the locals were extremely accommodating. He even had a pub named after him until recently, albeit in Swalwell. I think it's now called The Poacher's Pocket or something. Been in that pub on many occasions. It was called the Crowley, and was renamed the Poachers Pocket, but I understand it has now gone the way of many other pubs and closed. Obviously this wasn't a shadowy cabal as he was quite open about it but I wonder if this adds to their bitterness that's been handed down through the ages.

It will ironic if Mitrovic scores the goal for Fulham that condemns them to League one ?
-
League one is what they need to start rebuilding. Get rid of owner and underperforming overpaid players who probably all think they should be playing in the epl which is why they are where they are.
-
I disagree They have a very good academy which would in my opinion do very well playing in league one. You just have to look at Armstrong in league one with Coventry and now Blackburn especially when their u18s regularly stuff ours.
-
You just have to look at the National league table to see how far many previously established league clubs have fallen.
