  1. From my initial view it looked to me that Gayle flung himself over the keeper so never a penalty. The ref was spot on imo.
  2. The evening standard saying spurs only have to pay £6m for each year Sissoko is at spurs. They think that they won't have to pay any more if Sissoko moves on after 2 years. What a load of bollocks. If Sissoko goes after two years they will have to stump up the remaining £18m immediately. To go with what the standard are suggesting would leave it open to spurs to sell him to real Madrid in January for £35m and all they would have paid nufc would be £6m. It smacks of the spurs media pals preparing excuses because they are embarrassed by us laughing at them for the way we fleeced Levy of £30m.
  3. If you think Ashley is bad where were you guys when the club was being run by the likes of the one eyed pirate Lord Westwood, and later on that dodgy lawyer McKeag. Ashley is a breath of fresh air compared to them.
  4. He should have been banned from football for that tackle on Haidara.
  5. The media can quote all the offers they want such as €35m but the asking price is £35m. Stump up or do one....
  6. Disagree, their first touch took him away from goal, just had to stand his ground. No need for the stupid lunge. But if he had tried to close him down and he had scored you would be complaining that he should have tried to win the ball. Damned if he doesnt.....
  7. Damned if he does damned if he doesnt. If he goes for the ball he gives away the pen. If he doesn't then Reading score from open play.
  8. Surely the point of asking for £35m is to put off potential suitors because Rafa wants to keep Sissoko. An in form Sissoko will surely serve us better than any other midfield players we may be currently chasing with a view to replacing him if a club is daft enough to pay the £35m!
  9. Rafa is playing the long game. He allows two of the worst teams to beat us so the better teams get lulled into false sense of security and will allow us the space to take advantage and win. It's no good beating the teams at the bottom. You have to beat your promotion rivals.
  10. So....from being told we want to keep our top players and don't need to sell rafa has systematically sold all our best players (even if they are not worthy of that description)
  11. My concern is Rafa says he's spoken to other managers who advised the sort of player he needs for the championship so he's gone out and bought championship players. The problem as I see it is last time we went up we had mainly epl players and we smashed the league. Buying championship players just dumbs down the team and at best puts us on a par with the opposition rather than being superior in all departments.
  12. Sissoko is worth whatever clubs are willing to pay If that's £35m then that's what he is worth regardless of how poorly he performed for us. What he did was perform well to a Europe wide audience in the euros. Juve had probably never heard of him before the euros but with £100m from the sale of Pogba, £35m is small change to them and we'll worth a punt on his euro displays.
  13. We can buy Ross mcormack from Fulham now. Gayle and him should score enough goals to take us back up. We'll still have £12m left to sign an attacking midfielder as well.
  14. Really like that we are telling Liverpool to pay £27m in cash up front rather than paying for him over 5 years.
  15. If spurs really want him it's time Daniel Levy saw his chickens come home to roost. He played hardball when we bought Townsend so let's do the same to him. You want him the price is £30m period.
  16. He needs to be told that he will not be sold unless an offer comes in before transfer deadline day unless of course we have already brought in his replacement. Same goes for Wijnaldum.
  17. As usual the clubs interested in Sissoko and wijnaldum will wait until transfer deadline day thinking we will cave in and accept much lower offers for them. Most will think we will be desparate to get them off the wage bill. Be really great to see us refuse all offers and keep both of them.
  18. Sissoko has three years left on his contract. His agent can argue all he likes about us agreeing to let him go after last season for e18m to e25m, but his performances for France have increased his value and we are perfectly entitled to increase his asking price as he is under contract to NUFC. We havent said he cant go, and I would imagine his agent would point out his performances for France warrant sky high wages if and when he is eventually sold. The truth is the lower the selling price the higher the wages the agent can demand which is why he is demanding we lower the asking price.
  19. If Pogba is worth £100m Sissoko should be worth £45m as a starting price.
  20. Somebody at Dortmund doesn't realize the fee is in sterling....not euros ?
  21. They can approach all they like and offer him mega wages but unless they pay what we want Sissoko is going nowhere. .
  22. If spurs want wijnaldum we should make damn sure we play hardball with Daniel Levy. He screwed £12m out of us for townsend who wasn't even in their first team squad so Wijnaldum has got to be £25m. Don't want to pay that Mr Levy? Fine, he is under contract for 4 more years so no need to sell.
  23. Burnley went back up without spending a fortune. They sold inns and bought that gray guy from Brentford who scored the goals that fired them to promotion.
  24. So townsend says the only reason he left was his desire to be in the EPL. What about the fans. Does he think we want to be in the f***ing Championship? We don't have the option of being in the EPL. If he truly thought so much of the fans and the club he would have stayed. He is just another money grabbing mercenary who never had the slightest intention of staying as was evidenced by the insertion of the relegation clause because he and his agent knew they could have a bumper payday due to the mega TV money on offer.
  25. It's his agent who cares about the £££. That's the only reason players rarely show any loyalty these days. Agents are the absolute nemesis of football fans worldwide.
