To add to this you point out Liverpool, Chelsea, etc, struggling. I think people are generally underestimating the strength of the league. Arsenal, especially defensively, feel on a different level to everyone else but beyond that anyone is capable of beating anyone. English teams are at a point where they can outspend anyone but the very top teams on the continent. With the exception of one or two i'd suspect most PL teams would be favourites to make the last 16 of the CL. Even the game yesterday. Fulham were simply just so much better than Benfica. The intensity was so much higher. Benfica was a training match in comparison.

Did have one good bit in the second half where he held the ball up in the box, got a few defenders intro him, found Gordon who then crossed it into the space freed up by Woltemade putting it on a plate for Bruno who inexplicably missed. I agree it's a soft penalty but the ref gave the foul on field. Anywhere else on the pitch and there's no real complaints. All VAR did was point out the foul the ref gave was inside the box not outside of it.

Why not? The kick is the foul and his foot is inside the box/on the line the entire time.

Pleased with that. I think for a lot of the game we were notably in 2nd gear and I suspect that's intentional to manage the workload. Made life difficult for ourselves of course and should have had it wrapped up earlier but we got there in the end.
