I like my version on the previous page where teams are eliminated every 4 matches. That would bring in some jeopardy in the early and mid stages. From a $$$ point of view the top teams wouldn't agree. Why risk an early knock out? But from a sporting point of view would be much more interesting.

I didn't mind the ref yesterday. He generally let quite a lot of things go which I think suited us. Surprised me really compared to what I'm used to seeing in Europe. Neither penalty being awarded fitted with that I felt even though either of them could easily have been given.

Not sure about this. His main strength is the physicality he brings but we are moving away from being that team. There's simply too many games for that to be game plan every match. And even then over the last season or so he's been struggling with his own fitness. He was a perfect fit for us over the last few years. He just isn't anymore and I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn into more of a bench player.

Might feel like he doesn't have a choice soon if he wants to prioritise winning games. 4 losses in a row. Think they said on comms they haven't lost 5 in a row since the 50s or something.

Too early to make a judgement but of our signings I'm a bit nervous about this one. Time will tell of course, and no reason to not be behind him or jumping on every little thing.

ANYWAY as I was trying to say any result here is good now. As long as Isak was shit and they were noticeably worse with him on the pitch I'm happy. Liverpool win = prob best for us if we're being rational about it. Man Utd win = lolz
