Don't get too worked up man, a lot went in Everton's favour that game and we were coming in after two fixtures away within the week. Nobody can tell me Everton played well that game, and if they're relying on what happened in that game to happen every week, they're fucked tbh.

I just find Newcastle a very hard thing to give up supporting, I've done it since a small child and it is seemingly seared into my brain. I obviously find the stories out of KSA abhorrent, sure most sane humans do. I seemingly can't cut my ties with the club but I'm not a cheerleader for the owners at all. Don't take this as a parallel comparison as it's not, but the hypocrisy is the same.... I fucking hate animal cruelty and when I've visited the farm with the bairns I cant picture how we can slaughter animals like cows and sheep, they're lush. Exactly this. It may have been ugly as shit but Everton have done what they needed to do, win ugly. I was pretty pissed about the manner of defeat last night, but when I take into account my feelings prior to the takeover I wouldn't have it any other way! We've done(nearly) enough to secure our place in the top flight against some pretty hefty odds and I'm buzzing overall.

I'm nervous. The team has done a lot to reverse some of my negativity (Brighton/Southampton) but I just feel this is huge for both teams. We win and I'd say we are 100% safe even if we only picked up some draws here and there. Just hope Howe has kept them grounded and focused on the game and not the event. Goodison is going to be like a bear pit tonight, and it'll either spur them on or they will wilt. We have to do a job by keeping the crowd tamed but not get swept up in it! I'm going with a 1-1, and I wouldn't be upset.

I agree nufc (especially twitter) can be hypercritical with these things, but we shouldn't be afraid to call a bad cameo a bad cameo. His introduction at Chelsea definitely wasn't great and not up to maxis standards, you'd hope even he'd agree there. We needed him to do the dirty work in that game like the rest of the team had being doing and it felt like he was on a different wavelength. All I know is I'd rather ASM played for us, than against us!

Don't know if I'm misreading this a bit, but couldn't the fact the club is being ran better and generally getting the fans on board be seen as sportswashing by fans/media from the outside? Because we've been such a basket case of a club for so long, there are a lot of easy wins to be had with nufc and I worry that maybe some of the lesser Informed* sections of our support use these as defence of Saudi ownership. Like I say I'm not wishing to drag up too much political debate, or I'm possibly misreading your post? *Feel a bit Shan saying this tbh, should just say knackers.
