The only other team apparently in for him was Ipswich. I highly doubt their contract offer was lucrative

    Lee Charnley

He's doing his best, lets cut him some slack, eh.
  3. You've clearly never done pilates.

How thick have you got to be to regurgitate the PR bullshit?
  5. I'm sure we'll be willing to meet it Did Rafa sign him for Napoli or have I got the wrong Lopez?

RTG man "Twitter and the Internet is full of Mags".
  7. Fans / pundits proclaiming "we love seeing attacking football" as if other fan bases prefer turgid defensive hoofball. Everybody wants and likes attacking football, it's called entertainment. It's not the West ham way, Man Utd way etc.
  8. Aye West Ham fans reckon he's signing for them because he said something complimentary about them in a book 20 years ago. And he thinks Andy Carroll is class. Looks nailed on. Called him a paint brush didn't he?
  9. That LB called Tagliafico that Rafa wanted is in the Argentina squad. 2 seconds, 54

  11. Yaya and Buffon. Magical sights at the Olympic retirement home.
  12. Wtf, isn't he one of their best players? Googled it and seems he's had run-ins with Martinez. I'm sure Radja told Martinez to get fucked after he got left out of over half the qualifiers and was told Belgium don't have a proper #10, and even if they did he'd not get picked ahead Hazard and Mertens Apparently the next best place after the starting XI isn't the bench, it's home.
  13. Manuel Pellegrini will be confirmed as the new West Ham manager in the next two days — with a brief to turn them into a top-half team. The 64-year-old will be named as David Moyes’ replacement after Rafa Benitez decided to stay at Newcastle, where owner Mike Ashley has agreed to bankroll a summer spending spree. Pellegrini - a former Real Madrid and Malaga boss - spent three years at Manchester City and delivered the 2013-14 Premier League title in his first season in charge. He went on to lift two League Cups at the Etihad before being replaced in 2016 by Pep Guardiola. Pellegrini was first approached by West Ham in October to replace Slaven Bilic but declined as he didn’t want to take over mid-season, so they turned to Moyes. He quit mid-table Chinese Super League side Hebei China Fortune at the weekend, after agreeing a deal with the Hammers. West Ham chairman David Sullivan pledged last week to appoint a manager with “a proven level of success at the highest level”. They are now set to give the former Chile international defender a “substantial” transfer budget, with the aim of revamping the squad. Pellegrini was ditched by City after failing to guide them to the Champions League title. He did, however, lead them to the semi-finals of the competition in 2016 — the only time the club has reached that stage in their history — and is still warmly regarded at the Etihad for the job he did there. Benitez - who has a £6million release clause - has just 12 months remaining on his contract. West Ham made him their first choice and were initially confident of landing him after receiving a positive response following initial contacts with his camp. But the Londoners finally admitted defeat last week after learning Newcastle were prepared to back the fan-favourite Spaniard in a bid to keep him. Pellegrini and Benitez were on a four-man short-list, with West Ham determined not to find themselves in relegation trouble yet again next season. Also in the frame were former Paris Saint-Germain boss Unai Emery and Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca, who met Sullivan last Monday. Portuguese Fonseca - who was also targeted by Everton, after sacking Sam Allardyce - has since signed a new contract to stay at his Ukrainian club.
  14. Well I certainly won't be getting flustered about Semedo, then.
  15. Fuck off, IC "Here's a load of negative thoughts... MAKE OF THAT WHAT YOU WILL *HUR HUR*" After telling us he's 3rd choice, can't dislodge a Soton player, and then calling him unproven, what exactly did you think people would make of it? He's brillant? Change 20 mil for "Does that mean Jamaal is not worth getting flustered about since he's not in the England set up?
  16. You literally used an example of him not being 1st or 2nd choice for Portugal as a reason he's probably shit. I'm translating that to our players because then it looks even more ridiculous. National teams / squads don't equal definite quality, likewise uncapped players aren't automatically awful.
  17. Sound logic. Jamaal isn't in the WC squad despite Phil Jones being dogshit. Does that mean you think Jamaal is worth less than 20mil?
  18. We were linked with his brother Ronaldo Vieira I think.
  19. Sorry, but no. Lejeune is capable of hitting flat 50 yard passes almost as well as Shelvey, only he doesn't have to do it as often because Jonjo is usually the one making those passes. Lejeune's passing is streets ahead of any other defender at the Toon (or in the England squad, for that matter). I may be wrong, but I think he is saying that all Lascelles needs is composure on the ball to be a complete centre back? Not that composues iis all Lejeune has? I think he's saying Lejeune has better passing as well as composure. Jamaal could do with both maybe?
  20. Lejeune is everything Colo wished he was.
