You don’t have to leave here just because you’ve given up on the current Zombie version of the club. You’re a good poster man and can still vent your rage here. Bit concerned people like you keep leaving and we’ll be left with similar to the Facebook groups out there with loads of ‘Rafa Who??’ posts. I've also given up after 65 years but I still like this forum and most of its content so won't give up on that. I did try to watch it last night for about 20 minutes but it's worse than bad. Everyone behind the ball and hope to get lucky but those Pulis/Hughes/Bruce systems are doomed to failure That's how we play away. Sit in, and try and counter. Last season we had 26% possession away to Huddersfield and won 1-0, Leicester away 27% possession and we won 1-0. Attacking wise needs a lot of improvement, but you can't say the efforts level last night were "worse than bad". Team put a shift in last night, got a little lucky, and took our chances.

Had a good game, nice cross for the goal.

Allan Saint-Maximin (now playing for Fenerbahce, on loan from Al-Ahli)

This guy seems real - like he appreciates the fans and is enjoying being here. -
3 is generous. He's a fucking carthorse whose absurdly poor performance is masked by successfully doing his job a single time. Did a class defensive header, a really good flick on and nobody gambled, and the Shelvey assist. I agree he is fucked on the floor though.

Sheffield Utd 0-2 Newcastle Utd - 05/12/19 - Post-match reaction from page 18

Sheffield lacked creativity and a spark because they have championship players without the quality to provide it. Other than that, I thought their movement was excellent. All you can do as a manager is coach them in the basics of how you want to play, you can't turn a donkey into a racehorse. As for our away performance being a good one, you must have been watching a different game. We were absolutely cack for the first 45 mins, and could barely string two passes together. Our gameplan as it was, was executed terribly. We were relying on their poor finishing to stay in the match. We were poor going forward, but the team worked their arse off. First half, we got a little lucky, but second half we were comfortable. We had a few chances and we took them. It's a good win. We worked our arse off defensively, no denying that, but I would put that down to Rafa's work in the past few years. Even Bruce is more or less saying as much. Bringing the ball out, we are actually now even worse, and we weren't great at this under Rafa either, I'm not trying to sugar coat his record here. But we pressed much more effectively as a team, now we are just sitting back and hoofing it clear. I think the shape and defensive work was all drilled into the squad by Rafa. Bruce realises it's the way to go. And that's fair enough. I worry about the attack - we're not smooth, doesn't seem to be a plan. But the team spirit looks good. No sign of any trouble = team works very hard and we're always in most games. -

Team spirit looks good tbf. We are pretty disjointed in attack - improvement needed there. But nobody has thrown in towel, we graft hard.

Did 3 good headers and that was it really. Can't play on floor.

First half they had chances, but we were very good half. We didn't give them much. The VAR was class, 19 points after 15 games, Southampton, Burnley, Palace next. 4-6 points from there is a decent position for sure. -

Worked our balls off - massive effort. Defended well (2nd half strong). We didn't create much - attacking wise we need better but tbf were clinical with our 2 chances. Big win. -

Hahaha get in VAR -
Southampton game is big. A win and we are in a solid position. Lose right in shit

It's annoying how much Bruce gets sucked off by the media compared to Rafa like. If the articles were reasonable - "he's doing okay, it's not terrible" then fair enough. But it's "he much better than Rafa" "more attacking football than Rafa" FFS So stupid.

Charlie boy been on the ket again. Triple Darkness more like. Coke, Ket and MDMA - fucker is all over the shop

Really looking forward to the games tonight. Man United vs Spurs and Liverpool vs Everton is a nice double header. Ganning round my pals for a few gentle midweek beers and some double screen action. Cooking me a spag bol too. Sorted

Really enjoyed the prime coverage. Commentary was fine, picture very good, enjoyed the game. Had a quick flick round and plenty of sports docs to watch with some decent films. Will definitely keep for a few months.
