  1. I still cant get over the fact Steve McClaren was the most backed by Ashley, and the players that arrived he couldn't do anything with them, most of them went on to prove they're still very good players as individuals, yet McClaren literally took us down leaving us in an impossible fight. It's just bizarre how Ashley chooses to operate, or is actually advised to operate and chooses to listen to idiots over legends like KK and Rafa.
  2. Had a premonition only yesterday morning from waking up,with a visual in my head of Lascelles holding up a Leicester City Shirt? No idea why.... The Rumours mill, has Bruce very keen mainly on Brewster and also now including Nketiah? Not sure how with Arteta using him a fair bit last season, but either of those young talents would be welcome, I think one could be a possibility with Gayle knocked, Carroll likely not to be fit all the time, equally Wilson is known for injury issues, and Joelinton is obviously not a Striker.

    Jamal Lewis

I think this is an excellent signing if it goes ahead. I think of both the fullbacks out of him and Max Aaron's he was the better one in my opinion.
  4. The clubs you mention I'd still choose Newcastle over all of them if I was that player, I get what you're saying about the goons in charge, but money talks players don't usually come here nowadays to play for us Palace or Villa, they come for the money first, then to show their worth and make the next step. Once upon a time Southampton had Van Dijk,Mane.
  5. It doesn't matter with City though, they've worked out that should they be scrutinised, they included NYC (who they own, ridiculous) in the deal to lift the weight of the astronomical salary away from them, giving them the best of his final years, and their feeder club his pay day. It's a bit of a joke how exploiting deals is ok, maybe that should be considered with ffp?
  6. Hasn't it been cancelled for this season? What been cancelled?
  7. City taking the piss with ffp again
  8. What exactly did GC say, because the way you've worded your post suggests he's already leaked that there's something going on. Caulkin has said this week, since pulling out all parties reaffirmed their commitment to deal, however the next we should hear is whether deal is off or completed. So whether you believe the deal is likely or not, what is pretty clear is that they are still looking at ways to make this happen. I don’t think we’ll be receiving any running commentary this time, as if Saudis are still involved they won’t want to lose any face if this falls flat again. I would guess PCP are exploring the options open and if there’s a possible route to approval with discreet nods and winks given, the Saudis will come back on board. The hype train is coming, and Caulkin is the conductor ??
  9. It baffles me how it's always made so easy for him to get away with stuff like this.
  10. As if Ba and Loic Remy aren't in the list Ba was sensational before Cisse got the central role Shit realised, do they have to wear the No.9 or are we talking strikers?
  11. Ryan Sessegnon possibly another, if Ritchie goes in PX with Gayle for Wilson, he would be a good filler at LWB, I actually think Sessegnon would be better than if we had kept hold of Rose. Wilson and Sessegnon would be welcome signings for me, not hugely impressed with the Wood link, following Hendrick.
  12. Definitely fewest goals scored. Injured AC and Joelinton played 38 scored 2, gives me no confidence at all. Gayle will leave probs. So meat head needs to land a miracle striker from somewhere.
  13. FWIW the only Nufc game I went to last season was the home cup tie against Oxford, a poor game from start to finish, but I will say Rob Dickie was one of the best players on the pitch so much so I didn't have a clue who he was but i went away to look him up from his number, meant nowt as I never thought we would be signing him, but I did think from that particular game he looked a good player for that level.
  14. I'm getting too old for this shit now. We will get to the point where we have had more takeovers in a season than Watford have had managers.
  15. I find it strange the need to have to pick one side or the other. The more I see and hear the more I'm of the opinion both sides fucked it for different reasons. Someone posted somewhere in here the past day or so that if they weren't going to make us the richest club in the land we'd have nowhere near the same sympathy for them and I'm inclined to agree. I'm not saying they're tyre kickers, but I'm also not going to believe a whole ton from a consortium that have imo strung our most trustworthy local reporter in Caulkin along this whole time with 'no red flags' positivity bollocks. There's no way in hell I believe that they're shocked by any of this mess. They just prayed they could brush it under the carpet. Does this mean I think the PL are blame free? No. I still think they've allowed outside influences affect their process. I still think they've absolutely bottled the whole situation. To happily ignore this whole thing in the hope it disappears just shows they couldn't truly give a fuck if a football club falls in to neglect, nor about the end consumers that it also affects. Tldr shock horror football is full of duplicitous cunts. I agree. My simplistic way of looking at it now is, we have always known who our owners are/were (Ashley,Shepherd,Halls.) These guys come as a consortium with the biggest stake holder being 80% meaning they're the probable owner, but you can't test pif as an owner somebody I assume MBS needs to come forward and be tested as the owner. He didn't want to be scrutinised, but surely Staveley isn't that thick she thought at 10% she could take the test? She's not the owner at 10%. Until the proper owner takes the test then there was never going to be movement. Which brings me back to thinking these guys fucked it as much as the PL didnt want them perhaps.
  16. There will be a huge number of fans that will never be able to allow themselves to consider the negative side on this. It's all been about the buyers and assuming they're the perfect people. I dont trust the PL in this that much but I can equally take on board that the actual 80% stake holder or would be owner didnt want to take the fit and proper persons test, why?
  17. Think I blame the consortium as much as the premier league in this. Seem like a bunch of naive twats.
  18. Parts of the response to Chi Onwura read like the consortium are protecting an individual or individuals from scrutiny, and were forced to pull out because perhaps that person wont be questioned. Or did I misread that part?
  19. But if you didn't have to do something you probably wouldn't. And when you ignore something long enough, usually it goes away. I keep seeing the 360 account saying let's turn the screw, rallying calls to Mps, etc etc, Yes at least they're doing something fair enough, but the elite in this world dont give a shit about anyone, so given the fact they're not forced to respond bothers me a bit. And will Stavely and Ashley actually bother to drag this through court, or just move on.
  20. They don't have to, but can you imagine the reaction we'd be seeing if it was Man U/Tottenham/Arsenal that PIF were trying to buy. It would never be off the Skysports front page, and Masters would have been hauled up before a Parliamentary Comittee already to explain I don't believe so. This is why the process is so flawed. In reference to the recent ombudsman and political or MP interactions, PM and local Mps? Must a response be given? I think if not they're untouchable and only a legal battle in court settles this.
