  1. It was nothing special mate. De Jong fluffed a few chances. Some of them still need to get a bit sharper Aarons. Mbemba was tested at RB and was fairly poor ahead of him Atsu wasnt setting the place on fire. Personally I thought the second side was better than the first half side. We saw Callum Roberts get a short stint down the left he looked ok. Top of the bunch were Lejeune who was fairly solid and made very little errors passing out from the back. Shelvey was standard usual good display, Dwight Gayle was like a man possessed running all over, he seemed to have bulked up maybe for the prem facing stronger defences? Mitro did ok won lots of flicks took his goal well and also smashed one of the inside of the post, which looked like his second goal as we all jumped about to find it wasnt a goal. Murphys debut was nothing special looks like he is still getting used to his new team mates, ahead of Yedlin that right side looked very threatening, but he switched for the final 15 for the introduction of Manquillo, Murphy looks rapid mind, I also thought Yedlin was class. Still looks like we need to shift a fair few on,some youths out on loan and maybe flog Hanley, Diame. Also Dummett needs some competition for that LB spot, theres nobody knocking on the door. Cheers, sorry cant be bothered to rate them individually. It was nothing special. Those mentioned probably an 8 the rest 6s or 7s
  2. The size of Hanley there! Even compared to LeJeune.. He'd nearly be worth keeping just for the Stoke game. Hes on his tip toes if you look at his feet. Dont know why?
  3. Looked like Gayle had been working on his physical upper body he looked beefed up. The new CB Lejeune looked pretty solid. Mbemba at RB was no use. Yet second half Clark at LB seemed ok? We had some fairly decent chances and plenty of possession but as the game drew on looked like neither side was going to get a winner. Agree with you on Diame and De Jong. Was a good turnout from our support they gave double allocation so we were able to sit anywhere.
  4. Jack Wilshire isn't the kind of signing I would want here given his fitness and attitude. But if it was the end of Colback forever, I could totally live with it.
  5. How come nobody has gone in for that ante coric yet? Was he not supposed to be on many sides radar including us.
  6. Didn't know we had a bid accepted? So hows he got to decide between clubs.
  7. Shocked at this transfer. Its actually a down grade on Anita. Hope its a low fee if it is permanent.
  8. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-double-signing-benitez-ojo-10816933.amp Hope this reassures a few. Sounds like he does have some faith in the owner. But just the market is mental. I particularly like the mention of being able to spend it how he likes be it alleged 70m on one player or several. I guess nobody wants to get ripped off when you only have 70m to spend and 2 experienced players could cost you that(these days). And would they keep you up,stay fit and injury free? I trust Benitez to get this done its just gonna be a game of patience, guess we should try and relax a bit.
  9. Some mentioning we could still also go for that Ojo youngster. Didn't even realise hes been playing at such a high level, since the age of 13 he was training with the mk dons first team before Liverpool swooped. Looks a really clever player.
  10. I wouldnt walk just because im struggling to sign average underrated players for 25m. Its a joke, I dont see the point in signing players for the sake of it. Obviously we need players, but if you get priced out of the market you just dig in together and do what other sides have had to do before us, Burnley, Bournemouth, Leicester. Think we need to move away from the english market its ridiculous. PSV managed to land Hirving Lozano for 8m beating off competition.
  11. Ojo or Murphy.Guess this is to push Norwich into agreeing a deal that will save us a few quid. 10m for a liverpool fringe player is a bit crazy.
  12. You have to count all the returning loan lads as new signings. Sadly the one who was the most successful didnt return to make matters worse.
  13. It's not Charnley, this is all trickling down from Ashley. If the will is there to get deals done we'd already have a few more players in. There was no problems getting players in this time last year, so what's changed? Pretty much the fact he had Carr to hold his hand through deals is what I think. No Carr sat there to help him through negotiations, and if he's a poor negotiator with demand for player's rising and a tight budget that could explain a bit? Its a fucking queueing process. Should just be Rafa direct to Ashley.Fuck all these little suits stealing a living. You mentioned about Huddersfield spending. That will be down to the clubs outgoings overall being relatively small. Plus they will need a squad to compete, they had a fair few players on loan last season who will have returned leaving a smaller squad to try to stay in the division.
  14. Probably be something like charnley not having a clue how to close a deal without Carr by his side. Rafa should just oversee the whole thing start to finish. All these suits just slow the process down.
  15. The black is now allegedly the away kit. Green blue third kit?
  16. Chronicle have said it has been leaked today, that black kit is pretty much the real one. Its brilliant ? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-away-kit-black-13313998.amp
  17. Both, played a bit on the right for cov and he scores a lot of goals from central positions, so could be a good fit for a few areas?
  18. I can see why its frustrating when sides are demanding 50m for Ross Barkley, and also Sigurdsson 50m price tag. Ridiculous! Its no wonder we are considering so many alternatives. Id be guessing thats where the crazy transfer market quote came from.
  19. Mentioned this lad weeks ago.Got the feeling nobody really rated him on here. He did superb in his championship spell off the back of a equally impressive loan at Coventry (whith Adam Armstrong) Although he returned to his parent club and had a superb season. And then continued to carry the form into the recent u21s tournament. You cant argue he's not been consistent or progressed over 2 seasons. Would be a great purchase. Im sure if it is genuine legit bid/interest then many will get on board instead of thinking hes turd. I honestly can't say I've taken much notice of him. However if he's performing for the U21's and did decent in the Championship last season and League 1 the season before, then for £8m-£10m he's worth the gamble, especially when you consider what the alternatives are for that price. Is he a winger (if so, which side) or a forward? It says winger on some websites and forward on others. Winger on the Right, sometimes Left. He could have been tried upfront I dont know.

  21. Really? Why? What does he actually do? He did fuck all other than run in a straight line every now and then for us, and seems to have done the exact same for Boro last year. He's big, stocky and quite fast, but he has zero football awareness. I remember Village Idiot on here telling me *exactly* the same thing when we signed him, and he was absolutely spot on. I find it utterly bewildering anyone would want him, let alone pay some of the figures mentioned for him. He's not a winger. He's not even a footballer. Sounds like past players we have loathed here Obertan & Lua Lua spring to mind.
  22. Totally get why you have that opinion. But I do believe there is a player in there with Aarons, and possibly managers that have managed him see this. He needs to get a consistent run and injury free season to push on. Or i fully understand why some would totally write him off. His explosive style in games like the final game vs Spurs before relegation and the Man City Away in the cup show glimpses of what kind of player he could be. Im on the fence with him,but i can see why he is possibly kept in.
  23. They dont make them for pie eating piss heads these days. They think everyone is a gym freak and toned to fuck obviously.
