I wouldnt walk just because im struggling to sign average underrated players for 25m. Its a joke, I dont see the point in signing players for the sake of it. Obviously we need players, but if you get priced out of the market you just dig in together and do what other sides have had to do before us, Burnley, Bournemouth, Leicester. He did superb in his championship spell off the back of a equally impressive loan at Coventry (whith Adam Armstrong) Although he returned to his parent club and had a superb season. And then continued to carry the form into the recent u21s tournament. You cant argue he's not been consistent or progressed over 2 seasons. Would be a great purchase. Im sure if it is genuine legit bid/interest then many will get on board instead of thinking hes turd. I honestly can't say I've taken much notice of him. However if he's performing for the U21's and did decent in the Championship last season and League 1 the season before, then for £8m-£10m he's worth the gamble, especially when you consider what the alternatives are for that price. Is he a winger (if so, which side) or a forward? It says winger on some websites and forward on others. Winger on the Right, sometimes Left. He could have been tried upfront I dont know.

Really? Why? What does he actually do? He did fuck all other than run in a straight line every now and then for us, and seems to have done the exact same for Boro last year. He's big, stocky and quite fast, but he has zero football awareness. I remember Village Idiot on here telling me *exactly* the same thing when we signed him, and he was absolutely spot on. I find it utterly bewildering anyone would want him, let alone pay some of the figures mentioned for him. He's not a winger. He's not even a footballer. Totally get why you have that opinion. But I do believe there is a player in there with Aarons, and possibly managers that have managed him see this. He needs to get a consistent run and injury free season to push on. Or i fully understand why some would totally write him off. His explosive style in games like the final game vs Spurs before relegation and the Man City Away in the cup show glimpses of what kind of player he could be. Loftus Cheek has never been tested anywhere on loan etc. He will likely never really make it into Chelsea's first 11 as a permanent member. I would loan him in and do a deal like with Atsu and pay after the loan if we are satisfied. Is the other lad Baker out of the question? Hes done more on loan and is just as coated at all England youth levels.

Our mentality under Keegan was we will score more than you, not we have a sound back four that rarely ships goals. Cant say we ever had a solid back four. Flawed debate.
