  1. When Mbemba came here it was mentioned he could also play RB and defensive mid. So to have someone who can be utilised why get rid? Its the first time in years we have had 3 good CBs everyone goes on about Rafa rotating, seems he doesn't do it enough and i can understand these players getting fed up now. Losing Mbemba is a bad move. A loan i could understand. But if we get an injury at CB he would be needed. Id play him at defensive mid just to see if hes any good. We are struggling atm for bodies in the middle or is he also off to ACN?
  2. Should you really need to tell a professional footballer not to give away free kicks in dangerous positions? He's a fucking joke and a travesty of a 'professional'. No talent, no athleticism, no brains and no balls. The sooner we palm off this little ginger cockend to whatever poor club will take him the better. Good points
  3. I don't think he's limited on the ball at all. I think that he's got a decent range of passing on him, he's just not somebody to rely on to create things for you. Yeah, he's certainly not limited - that's a weird conclusion to come to. He's displayed some really good passing (cute short passes, as well as more expansive stuff) and has made some really impressive driving runs. He shouldn't be your main creative central force in midfield but he's a very capable partner for someone of that ilk. Are you both on glue? You both concede he has limitations on the ball. Both on man glue
  4. Has he been Pardewed? Not used as a striker..... I only remember his best moments as a super sub coming on as a striker. Dont think hes ever been good over 90 minutes, he gets bored.
  5. If Mitrovic does get sold, we will be buying a striker. Probably Wilson. Probably another 15m to sit on the bench. Why? So we should have two strikers, one good one and one s*** one? Price is irrelevant, we need a squad. Mitrovic isn't good enough and Rafa presumably wants to replace him. How have you come to the conclusion that Mitrovic isn't good enough to be playing for us? We have players in our starting 11 who appear un-droppable who have put in much more shitter performances this season than Mitrovic has. Mitrovic was playing Champions League football prior to joining us, less than two years later and he's suddenly not good enough for the f***ing Championship where the likes of Glenn Murray score regularly Whether Mitrovic is good enough for the PL is a different story, but we're not in the PL. Considering we are struggling to break teams down a lot at the moment, it's incredible that he has not played much football at all. When he has started games this season, Blackburn aside, he has played well and scored goals. I sort of hope Mitrovic is sold, because he's been treated like a scapegoat by many for little reasoning and his career is stagnating at a key stage for no reason. He'll go off and have a decent career with someone else and we'll probably look the c***s when he's scoring regularly at a higher level than this - especially if we sell him this January and fail to go up. ?
  6. To play 10 so Mo could drop into cm. ? You tosser I was rubbing my screen thinking I had dirt on it. (the black thumbs up) Its not black? You on laptop? I'm on my work computer, normal desktop one. It's definitely black on mine. Its Android so probably different on pc
  7. If Mitrovic does get sold, we will be buying a striker. Probably Wilson. Probably another 15m to sit on the bench. Why? So we should have two strikers, one good one and one shit one? Price is irrelevant, we need a squad. Mitrovic isn't good enough and Rafa presumably wants to replace him. Mitro hasn't been tested enough at this level to warrant such assessment. But the truth is Benitez probably doesn't like him. And to rub salt into the wounds will go 442 with Wilson & Gayle as soon as Mitrovic is off. Mitro should have realised sooner you never pick a chubby spanish guy up in the air. Its been down hill for him since.
  8. To play 10 so Mo could drop into cm. ? Post was directed at Kasper. It was KI who brought that sub up. I think it's a sub he has done a numerous times though isnt it? And I personally haven't seen what it has brought to the table. Think he was onabout Perez coming off for Diame. Aye, it was just a regular sub that's happened a few times as an example. I wasn't talking specifically about yesterday. Based on a quick look that sub hasn't happened that way around once this season. At least in the league. It absolutely has. Huddersfield and Bristol just off the top of my head and vs Cardiff, Sheff Wed and Derby they were both substituted for different players, but went into that number 10 position like 5 to 10 minutes later. What? I'm confused. You just cleared up that you're talking about Perez coming off for Diame yet you give examples of the opposite? But if we are talking about that sub then it's even worse example. I gave you an example of what Mitrovic coming on for Gouffran would bring to our game yet you gave none for Perez. How has bringing Perez on for Diame answered the problems we've had in those situations. How has that change improved us? What is the potential improvement there and what is the plan that swap is based on? Short answer is,there wasn't one. Perez at 10 is dog spunk!
  9. Please can thread title be changed to that tweet ?
  10. I like him, was doing the job of two yesterday, so never going to get it all right.

  13. ? Good post, im no trying to call people out in that way. It just appears like that. Rafa has got it right and this isnt going to turn into one of those past manager topics where someone wants to turn everyone on the manager. The manager is top class. Hes just appearing stubborn. Ive had this early on in the season where i have questioned myself and agreed you do have to just trust he knows what hes doing. Its just watching sometimes you do wonder what ifs, and to be totally honest i did not expect to win every game, but if you said by the end of the season how many would we have lost i would not have thought 7 by new year. Hope its a blip. But i still very much would like to see changes that could potentially turn results. ?

  15. No they really dont. Some opinions of others on here are utterly made up. Nobody thinks we are the untouchables, winning every game is a once in a blue moon thing. Stop exaggerating what you think people think. What most "probably" think or wish want whatever you want to decide is that we could turn a result around. Theres no doubt we are stronger than Blackburn and the other 7 sides that have beaten us with everything taken ito consideration, If you are losing a game why wouldn't you look at other options. Its almost like some are completely mystified by Rafa. Fucking lovestruck kids man. Hmm, nah, more that we trust the managerial and tactical acumen of someone with the below record, over 'mighty_mag and madras on the internet' tbh That's not to say you're not entitled to your opinion or that you can't criticise Rafa, it's more that the criticism isn't really based on anything other than the assumption that things like 'why wouldn't you look at other options?' are things that Rafa hasn't already done, or this idea that acting on other options is always the best, most creative solution. I'd rather he went with what he thinks is the right decision than make an ineffective change to appease fans. 16. If they did they really are dicks. Majority just wanted to see changes instead of a routine loss for the sake of continuing with any personel available to justify 4231. Perez coming on yesterday. Please agree that was pointless.
  17. No they really dont. Some opinions of others on here are utterly made up. Nobody thinks we are the untouchables, winning every game is a once in a blue moon thing. 18. We need a number 10 tho
  19. Since the win streak came to an end we lost 5 won 4. If cups are included in the form. So its kind of 50/50 since being relatively dominant. Shelvey, and Gayle not being isolated in matches are huge for us.
  20. That's not what he said Hans. But we all know You're fond of taking the piss out of people based on your own personal inability to rationalise. Does it make you feel good? cos it doesn't make you look good. Given the options available today, it would have been perfectly reasonable to play 442 with Hayden and Diame in the centre, Ritchie and Atsu on the wings and Gayle with Mitro up front. Nothing to say we would have battered them with that line up, but you can bet your arse they wouldn't have been prepared for it. I never said that's what he said did I? I wasn't being fucking literal And are you seriously pulling me up on my inability to rationalise in this thread? If you've read the forum the general gist is that Rafa just needs to make x sub and we win the game, or start with 2 up top and we'd score 4. If you cannot see that then I don't really know what to say like, it's definitely there and has been since the start of the season. I think that is what you think. Nobody has said two up top we will score 4. Although our one comback victory we scored 3. And waiting until the death to tweak a side thats losing well....... Waste of time discussing. You admit you prefer 442 but feel happy that Rafa knows what hes doing. The argument for this is your simply satisfied and hope because of his track record he knows what hes doing and theres nothing to be concerned about.
  21. Well bizarrely id guess most of us are not football managers. But we all recognise the same. Id like to see 442 because we would be a bigger threat to weak defences. No degree in sport science. Its just blatantly obvious when you lose 7 by new year. And by the way. We all fucking love Rafa. Its just time for a little adjustment maybe.
  22. That's Norwich who are now 15 points behind us. We're definitely doomed though, now we're only 2nd with 63 points left to play for. You dont think we should try to look at the potential defeat we have turned into one positive, and the 7 we have not. Just carry on, dont question anything. And be happy when we look utter shit vs weak opponents.?? The point is that we haven't been 'shite' and that Rafa's stubborness actually has us in 2nd place. We're overreacting to a bad run of form like we were back then. He's identified areas we need to strengthen so he sees the problems. Him not changing up the formation is just something we're going to have to live with knowing that his record suggests he knows what he's doing. http://img.picturequotes.com/2/545/544795/giving-up-quote-1.jpg Unless you mean 'expecting him to know what he's doing'? He's a manager who consistently wins trophies, he obviously knows what he's doing. Him not making subs until whenever he fancies isn't bad management because some FM experts wanted to bring Murphy on 10 minute earlier. I'm not saying he got tonight right, or the Wednesday game right. It's fine to disagree with his decisions. But he obviously has a reason for what he's doing, he's not just winging it like Carver. People are acting like he's fucking clueless, it's absurd. No they aren't. Frustrated fans are kicking off at the lack of plan B when we go behind. Lack of trying something new/Different. Over thinking this league and the competition we are up against is ridiculous. I would be interested to see us when we lose these player's to ACN and if we lost some to injury just what personel we would throw together to continue to salvage 4231. Me personally would just shove my best 11 out in their favoured positions, and not be forcing players that cant play number 10 to play it. Just out of curiosity how would you like to see us set up. Whats your best 11. Forget Rafa for a minute.
