If that's the sort of team Southampton are going to field in this competition, I'd fancy us to knock them out.
-
Leeds can fuck off. Twats.

I was trying to work out if it was a weakened team or not 3 changes from the weekend? EDIT - Just realised that both mackem goalkeepers are apparently number 13.

Really like the look of Atsu, he drifts in and out of games a bit but he looks like the sort of player that terrifies defences. Love a player who is happy to have the ball and run at people, something Atsu does a lot. Completely forgot that we've still got Aarons to come back too, once he's been glued back together.

His lack of pace and poor finishing in general wasn't a myth ffs Lack of pace, no - but some people describing him as if he runs through glue is a myth aye. Poor finishing? He's started two games this season (Cheltenham not included as he was off the pitch with a knock to the head) and scored three goals... Terrible finishing. Anyone know his conversion rate this season? I'd stab a guess that it's higher than Perez, Gayle and Diame. Ignoring last season then which is when everyone was judging his poor finishing on? Didn't say that at all, but we judge a player based on the current form do we not? Is Vardy a s*** player because he scored next to f*** all in his first season in the Premier League? Or is he allowed the opportunity to adjust to a new level? Well he hasn't played enough this season to judge whether his finishing has improved. He's not a s*** player either way like Something we agree on.

Vardy's first season in the PL: 26 starts, 8 sub appearances 2247 minutes of football 5 goals Mitrovic's first season in the PL: 22 starts, 12 sub appearances 2117 minutes of football 9 goals Could find similar stats for millions of players (especially foreign) during the first year in the PL.

People can honestly come up with some total bullshit to try and spin a negative on this lad, for absolutely no reason like. He had a great match last night - scored two (including a goal that if Gayle scored it, people would be spuffing over it for weeks) and was a constant menace all night, yet people focus on the very minor and completely irrelevant points. There was nothing in the penalty incident other than two people wanting to score. He got over it within about 30 seconds. He can never win with a section of our support who have a clear dislike for him with absolutely no justification. He put to bed a few myths last night, there was nothing wrong with his pace and he was a lot quicker than I thought he is, he scored a good goal with his head and he showed great composure/finishing with his 2nd.

It's just not remotely true, though. Swear you are the most miserable and unnecessarily argumentative b****** in the world like. If someone told you that today is Tuesday you'd try and argue the fact it isn't. Which one of the 11 that played tonight doesn't deserve to play on Saturday and why? Which of the eight rotated out from Saturday should stop out of the team and why? Well off the top of my head, there's virtually no argument for us to discard Lascelles and Clark who've done very well as a partnership. Same goes for Darlow. Seriously, though. If you will insist on saying silly things don't wince like you've just stepped on your curling tongs when someone corrects you. I didn't say Lascelles and Clark should be dropped, I said players like Hanley and Mbemba have an argument for starting as they've played well when been called upon. Everyone has an argument to play, some stronger than others. You have arguments based on thin air, stop being so precious. -

The first time in absolute years where you could make an argument for any player in our squad to start a match. -
We should only let him take shots from outside the box like.

I am honestly so happy right now, it sounds incredibly sad I know - but I'm genuinely over the moon. I love everything about this club at the moment, cant wait for the next game. Sit there all day thinking about it. No idea how I'll cope at work tomorrow with the draw tomorrow night. What a fucking fantastic time this is to be a NUFC fan. Fucking come on. Fucking love you all.
