Interesting comments from the mackems (who hate everything and everyone at the minute) on Ready to Groom. -
I do like Elliot, but at times I wonder if that is down to the fact that he's a right idiot.

Have to agree here like. It's very tiring reading constant complaining about every signing before it happens. This. Howay man. Yes, we will see how he does, yada yada yada, but this is a forum ffs, we're here to discuss what we do (or do not) know. People writing this lad off when they've only seen a few performances from him in a w*** mackems team, I'm all up for a debate but lets just try to keep it reasonable. Hanley, Clark, Judge & Yedlin have all been written off by people on here who claim to have watched every football match ever in the world, when in reality they have very little knowledge of those players and should wait until they play a few games for us. Janmaat was absolutely dogshit for us for a good period of time and we currently have Anita playing RB, don't see how this cannot be positive for us. -

Happy for him to replace Janmaat as I never really liked Janmaat. -

Hope he gets on well, this is surely a sign of a LB coming in? -
Brentford manager: Alan Judge won't join Newcastle this summer

Brighton and Sheff Wed would not accept bids for their star players when they could keep them and try to gain promotion which will give them £100m+ To buy either of those players we'd be talking about daft money. We are not Man City or Chelsea, we cant spend daft money on two players in the Championship Especially when there is no guarantee anyone will buy Sissoko. Again, I'll point out that Rafa seems happy with the way things are going and there is no evidence to suggest there is an issue. -

To be fair, after losing De Jong we needed someone who can keep the physios and medical team busy. -
Unless Villa throw money at Hernandez, I'd say he'd be better off at Hull. He's guaranteed to start games and will stand out as a top performer, could easily get a bigger and better move in January or stay in the PL with Hull rather than risk dropping down with Villa and not going back up. I'm still not convinced by Villa, they've looked poor so far.

Or he's being hamstrung by the board and having his options narrowed? What evidence do you have to suggest that? If Rafa started to get f***ed about, he'd leave. He's still here, so we can only presume all is okay. Personally, I'd be quite surprised if Rafa is completely happy to be 4 games into the season having to jumble around our side, making do with playing Gouffran on the wing. We clearly wanted quality when we went after Knockaert earlier in the window. Not so say he's going to walk or anything, but we're nowhere near as prepared and stocked to match our position as runaway favourites at this point. Knockaert is under contract at Brighton and they have made it clear that he is not for sale, the player is also seemingly happy at Brighton as he's not refused to play or caused a fuss. Therefore, we've moved onto other targets (Alan Judge obviously one of them). What is difficult to understand about that? It doesn't mean that Rafa is unhappy or anyone else is meddling around in transfers. People forget that a majority of transfer contact is often unreported, we've probably made enquiries for a lot of wingers and it's been decided that Judge is the most viable. -

Not arsed if we get Yedlin or not to be honest, similar to Galloway. I'd like a LB, but can understand bringing him in if Janmaat is to leave. -

A good player who will be good for us at this level. Had a bad injury but if he comes back from it okay then he'll do well for us. Ritchie and Judge on the wings would be great for us, will create loads of chances. Happy we've bought another winger in, Rafa is obviously confident we can get by until Judge comes back. -

Because as one of the top teams in Germany, they could be confident they could replace him with someone of equal or better quality. As we're lingering in the second division in England, this would be a brilliant signing - especially when you look at our other options in comparison to our rivals in this league. They finished 8th last season. And why would they replace him with equal quality? What's the point in that? People don't half love to exaggerate, like. Liverpool finished 8th last season and Chelsea 10th, are they not 'top teams'? And if he is not viewed as a first team player this season, they'd only need to replace him with a back-up player. Hence my comment on 'equal quality'. Liverpool and Chelsea aren't Wolfsburg, though. For a start they've finished 15th, 11th and 8th in the last 5 years alone. If that's a 'top team' in a league that has 10-25 point gaps at the top of it I've got a f***ing bridge to sell you. Wolfsburg are a big club in Germany, they may be lingering around the middle of the table - but that doesn't mean they cannot attract top talent (which was my point). Is a player more likely to move to Wolfsburg or Mainz? And Liverpool have finished 6th-8th in each of the last 7 seasons apart from 1 (where they should have won the league). But they are still a top club. Wolfsburg are 1 place below Liverpool on the UEFA rankings. -
