  1. I had just put £50 on Bayern 3-1, my bet placed and then the penalty was given There is still hope!
  2. https://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/betting/football/football-specials/manager-specials/rafa-benitez-specials/220518418/
  3. There is a scenario where we can end up with the same points, GD and goals scored - imagine a play-off for the last relegation spot?? Imagine trying to host that somewhere like Wembley the Met/BTP would have a nightmare.
  4. Like watching us that was, attacking with pace and great finishing.
  5. I don't think anyone is saying Marveaux is worse than any of them, but he's not good enough to be here is the general opinion. The other names you listed should all follow him out of the door, providing we stay up. As none of them are good enough either.
  6. To act as a prevention to time-wasting, otherwise players would constantly drop to the floor in the last few minutes to get treatment. If they have to go off, they're down to 10 men and disadvantage themselves by doing so. Absolutely none.
  7. Did Muller miss that on purpose because he wants Atleti to win the Champions League?
  8. If that was an outfield player catching the Bayern man outside the box after he had hit the ball, that'd have been a foul. They are given every single match. Really frustrates me in football how decisions in the box aren't given simply because they're in the box.
  9. Give me examples of those games then because I'm struggling to remember them. I hate Pardew as much as anyone, but I'm sick of the attitude that any player who fell out of favour during his tenure was some sort of misunderstood, hard done by genius. And if you're saying his form on loan in France isn't relevant, that's only because it doesn't suit your agenda. As for Ben Arfa, yes I said we would still have struggled last year if he was in the squad. Fair play to him for doing much better at Nice than I expected. Isn't this the sort of scenario that you should be learning from before asserting the same sort of opinions? It's quite hard to take someone seriously when they not only lack humility after being very wrong, but adamantly insist that they're right as if them being very wrong never happened. I think there's been enough Ben Arfa discussion on here but hey ho. How can I be wrong about a totally hypothetical situation, I gladly admit Ben Arfa has done much better in Ligue 1 than I expected. Maybe that does mean if he was in our squad last year, we wouldn't have been fighting relegation. Not really relevant to Marveaux though, if you think he played well for us and will be a loss, that's your opinion and we'll have to disagree. Completely agree with you (this post and your previous ones). FWIW Ben Arfa is a fantastically world class player when things are going right throughout the whole team, when they're not and you need players to dig in and scrap - he's far from amazing. Similar to Wijnaldum.
  10. Simeone is class on the sideline could watch him all game, he's like a mad man.
  11. I went from a 6 to a 9 earlier just during a poo. Back down to a 7 now. Literally no idea what's going to happen.
  12. There is very little rivalry between Everton and Liverpool, apart from in the mind of a small minority of idiots (but every club has some of them). How many mackems would be allowed to sit inside SJP in their red and white clobber? Seeing an Everton fan in the Liverpool end the other week was bizarre. Liverpool see Man Utd as their biggest rivalry.
  13. Never noticed this until I read that on .com, he is very dramatic in his calls isn't he?
  14. you saying we may as well not bother turning up? Absolutely, shred your ticket. I've just fed mine to the fish.
  15. Unbelievable. Cannot believe this clown has been given another Newcastle game. He shouldn't be given any fixtures, never mind one as important as this.
  16. 95% of the players who will play for them on Saturday will all be through the exit doors in the summer to rob a living somewhere else. They genuinely wont give a f***.
  17. The mackems all convinced on Ready To Groom that they'll beat Chelsea The same team that couldn't beat West Brom at home recently.
  18. Getting so nervous for his already, no idea how ill cope on Saturday.
  19. Clattenburg once again proving tonight that he is the best ref in English football by a country mile. An impossible game for him to manage, but he did extremely well.
  20. Well Alli is definitely out, and Dembele is currently licking Costa's childhood memories from one thumb and spatial awareness from the other so.....yeah. [emoji38]wonderfully put. Lamela must have a ban coming his way too, surely? Absolutely should. Basically, Tottenham could be without: Alderweireld (injury), Rose (injury), Lamela (susp), Alli (susp), Dembele (susp). That is a significantly weaker Spurs team then we could have dreamed off. I think the only way it could be improved is if Kane and Erikson go off against Southampton on Sunday. They're also going to be massively down with nothing to play for now, they're guaranteed Champions League football. They'll be on the beach and not wanting any further injuries ahead of the Euros. This has fell perfectly for us, it really has - we simply must grasp this and get two wins here which will give us such a chance.
  21. This is the team that came from 2-0 down at Anfield (against an in-form Liverpool team) to grab a point. The Norwich/Southampton results were during the initial period where Rafa was working with the squad, we now have a settled starting 11 that are putting in decent shifts. If we don't beat these, we deserve everything we get - people are underestimating just how awful they are.
  22. Veronghen looks like a thunderbird imo. http://liverbirdshalden.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Jan-Vertonghen-Ajax.jpghttp://www.tracyislandchronicles.com/tb3/characters/3john.jpg
