Arsenal are a prime example of a club who have priced-out their real fans. Their stadium is full of tourists, businessmen and folk who simply go "because they can" for the day out. He still looks like the weak link in the defence and that is even with Anita at right back. He stands off far too much and allows players to run past him regularly. Good defender at a much lower level. He's okay, but he's nothing special. That said, he's performing well at the moment. I think people forget players' 6000 games prior to the one that we've just watched, it wasn't all that long ago that people thought he was a gash LB and better at CB. Now all of a sudden he's a world-beater LB and the sole reason we're winning games.

It's much easier for people to claim he missed on purpose if he skies it or blasts it wide, he hit it so soft and close to the keeper that even if Darlow moved to the right he'd have been able to re-adjust and save it. I used to play in goal too and would make a decision before kicks are taken, but that is usually because it's hard to get across due to the pace that they are hit at. Darlow didn't need to do that because of how weak the penalty was. I've just seen it again on MOTD and it'll never be certain either way, but he missed it and that is the important thing.
