That Man Utd team they really want to lose this don't they?

Can we have a 'guilty' or 'not guilty' poll added to this thread? Might be in bad taste but would be interesting like Remembering it is "beyond all reasonable doubt" in a court of law.

Johnson said in his defence that his former colleagues have refused to come to court to support him. Funny that the defence took out the court orders against those children to testify but failed to do so to bring these footballers to court to back up his story.

I just don't know why she is allowed to give evidence when she should quite clearly be cooking or cleaning or something.

Thanks all Because of the win yesterday, thought I'd go with a slightly riskier option today. £250 on Dortmund @ 23/20 £100 on -1 @ 11/4 Even though Dortmund won 2-0 in the first leg so may "take their foot off the gas", they are in good form and Porto's home form in the Portugese league has been pretty piss poor recently. Fancy Dortmund to put a few past them tonight, maybe even another 3-1 here.

The difference in quality between the defence and prosecution in this case is frightening Within 5 seconds, Stacey was basically ridiculed as a defence witness and pretty much everything she said meant nothing.

Nice tidy £658.33 profit tonight, bit gutted I didn't back 3-1 @ 20/1 but not to moan and to continue with the successful system!

Plus the fact he's admitted he's spent most of their relationship cheating on her with numerous women "because he can". Ignoring the fact that he finds kids sexy, that is probably justification to leave him. I'm sure if she had a ring on her finger she'd be down the route of divorce already to get her 50%.

To be fair like, I don't see what other intentions or motivations she can have other than greed and money. Sexual offences against a child are probably the lowest of the low, there is no justification for staying with and supporting someone who is guilty of it. Especially with the information coming out of the trial about his intentions and the way he conducted himself through it all.

Hibs were 7/10 to win by 2 or more tonight. Naturally they're 3 f***ing nil down at home to Greenock Morton after an hour. Morton were 12/1 to win before the game this is a prime example of why bookies always win, there are some right shitty results sometimes.

My 3-1 shout is looking quite handsome now, shame I didn't put it on just hoping Man City see this through now, even a win gives me a nice little profit -1 is just extra.
-
I'd say so, I try not to get carried away and place bets in-play during games otherwise it can get silly. Couple of decent sized bets on one game before KO (to win and -1) is the best way forward.

Oh they've been awful... Not counting my winnings yet mind! Although staying like this would be absolutely lovely

Really want Johnson's girlfriend to have a life full of absolute misery now like. Cannot stand the horrible money grabbing little slapper. She's absolutely gorgeous but is rotten on the inside like. She has known for 12 months that Johnson is a child abuser, she has backed him and stayed with him throughout. She knows he's cheated on her numerous times. She knows that he'd happily groom a child and ruin her life because of his arrogance. The relationship was in tatters 12 months ago (from the evidence at the court), now she flaunts around like they are stronger than ever despite his despicable actions. Yet she is more than happy to stay with him for her little payday $$$. There is no other reason for her being with him, absolutely not.

Long way to get yet but an early goal for Man City is fantastic, Kiev will have to try get something out of this which will lead to all sorts of gaps at the back. A bit gutted I didn't back 3-1 now as that looks quite realistic.

I'm rich

But lets put this into context - Adam Johnson isn't likely to offend against a 9 year old boy, his offending was towards a 15 year old girl who he had a sexual attraction towards and met several times after matches, had a long transcript with via messages etc. He was in no way likely to reoffend whilst on bail. He isn't a risk to all kids, just sexy girl kids.

They may possibly have breached FA and statutory child safeguarding guidance, might not be something there would be a great deal of legal comeback on, but there could possibly be. Ultimately it will depend whether the media decide to run with it. At the moment they're just reporting the facts of the case and staying well clear of any comment, once the verdict is delivered their handcuffs will be off and they'll go into overdrive with it. Personally, I can see the decision to un-suspend him being the main talking point as it's the most obvious way to drag the story out further and point fingers at scapegoats, as the media loves to do. They haven't though - Johnson doesn't have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 in his role (if he had, it would have been restricted). In weighing up the decision they made, Johnson wasn't likely to reoffend whilst on bail nor was he a threat to strike and attack a child spontaneously. From a safeguarding prospective, providing they have a robust risk assessment and plans in place to protect any children - they are entitled to keep him under their employment. I agree that I think the media will run with this, but the only likely outcome is an internal investigation and people losing their jobs at Sunderland.

41 year old goalkeeper for Kiev Sterling wasn't even born when he made his debut

One final stat for my bet - this is the same Man City who thumped Sevilla in their own back yard (3-1 if I recall?) against all expectations. Sevilla away is a much, much harder task than Kiev.
-
Aye, cheers - we'll see, but I'm fairly confident hence the outlay. I'm running about even in my account after this bet, so I'm not desperate for it to come off. A Man City win by 2 or more goals would see me net a tidy £1k though. EDIT - I can see a 3-1 win

To be fair, the Ukrainian football league is hardly known for its great competition. I think Man City's odds are very generous. £250 on Man City @ 13/10 £100 on Man City -1 @ 10/3 Got Chelsea, Shakhtar, Fiorentina, Porto, Everton on the list too. God knows, I'll probably end up avoiding it altogether This is also Dynamo Kiev's first competitive game since December like, they're not going to be fresh off the mark at all. Dynamo aren't a great side, I'd expect Man City to beat them comfortably tonight. Especially as they have put all efforts into this and ignored the FA Cup game.
