  1. TCD talks a lot of s*** like, but I 100% agree with this. There is absolutely no reason why Thauvin is not fighting for his place at NUFC today, other than the fact that he (for whatever reason) didn't fancy it and wanted to get out asap. Sadly we have a lot of s*** players, but I have no time for someone who wants to jump ship as soon as possible and he was quite clearly desperate to do so by taking wage cuts etc. If I have a bad few weeks at work, I get my head down and try to get through it.
  2. I absolutely love this prosecution lawyer, she is going to rip him a new one over the course of today and tomorrow.
  3. I couldn't care less about how much footballers earn, I'd like to see them all take a wage reduction and spread the savings across ticket prices/invest it in grassroots football and opportunities for little ones but that is about it. My argument isn't about the size of a wage slip of a footballer, my argument is that for the wage they earn I would happily take the criticism that they receive and retire a happy man. But you do care, because you're saying that due to their wage, they shouldn't react to criticism. I'd like to know where the feelings vs pay packet tipping point is? Am I allowed to feel if I get £1000 a week? More? Less? I'm not saying that they shouldn't react, I'm saying that I do not think a majority of footballers could care less about what supporters think of them. As I've said, obviously some time criticism will affect players when it gets so severe such as death threats etc. But people feeling sorry for Florian Thauvin for being affected by people telling him he's rubbish at his job or Cristiano Ronaldo being told he's rubbish at his job away from home is ridiculous man Next time I had a PDR at work, I'll just get up and leave whenever they say something I don't like. Get away, these are grown men. The money aspect only came into the conversation as I asked why would they care when they have the resources to be able to retire at the elderly age of 25-35 and move away to enjoy the rest of their lives?

  5. Do you really think all these footballers give a s*** what you or I think of them? McClean, Cattermole, Savage, Barton - they all must cry themselves to sleep every night like. Funny you should say that http://www.the42.ie/mcclean-opens-up-on-abuse-2614612-Feb2016/ This is an article with James McClean from Saturday about his tough time dealing with supporter's abuse last season Haha, really? Oh my performances were rubbish because I was so sad that everybody was shouting at me... If you're upset by criticism, you wouldn't act like he does and regularly (as your link states) voice such distasteful opinions that he knows will spark a reaction. I'm sorry I just don't buy into it at all, I'm sure some footballers are terribly effected by it - but the majority could not give a toss. Do you really believe the majority of players aren't in any way affected by criticism? One of the richest athletes in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo walked out of a press conference last week because he was asked a question about his lack of goals away from home Aye, to be honest I do. Obviously, some criticism will affect anybody - but the sort of stuff Thauvin has received is not enough for him to wimp off. How many NUFC players looked bothered by the criticism they received towards the end of last season like? How many looked terrified or scared? Or did they all just look uninterested? Ronaldo walking out of a press conference because somebody told him he is crap away from home is pathetic, over-dramatic and a professional footballer throwing his toys out of his pram. It isn't an example of a player breaking down emotionally because they've received harsh criticism. Maybe I'm thick skinned, but I'd happily be hated and have the lifestyle that they do - go home every day after training/matches and switch off, a bit like when I walk through the door from work and switch off and enjoy my time at home. Unfortunately, unlike these professional footballers - I don't have the option of retiring at 30 and buying myself a private island to live on away from all these nasty words.
  6. Not seen that until now, think that could be quite fun and is a real good idea. Doubt I'll get involved until it is more established mind, but I hope that it does take off.

  9. I'd quite happily be hated by a load of people I couldn't care less about if I was earning his wages. Earning loads of money doesn't mean you're a robot that has no feelings After about three seasons of playing football (starting at 21 and retiring at 24) on a modest £40k a week, you'll have earned £6m+ (not paying taxes as you have a offshore bank account) and be able to fuck off to live in the Caribbean and not care less about what anybody thinks of you.
  10. Nowt but a PR stunt, very little ever comes out of these. Perfect for NUFC to spin the "we consult with our fans" bollocks.
  11. I'd quite happily be hated by a load of people I couldn't care less about if I was earning his wages.
  12. Struggled to find any sort of value tonight so thought I'd throw £20 on something random. Went with this... Napoli Win and Over 12 Corners and 4-6 Cards @ 15/2 Man Utd Win and Over 12 Corners and 4-6 Cards @ 14/1 £20 returns £2,550
  13. Do you get sexually aroused by little children? If the answer is a yes, you should probably stop shaving your chest.
  14. Is he a closet ginger? He's far too pale to be normal like.
  15. They should be on TV when playing away at a lesser team, it's the home FA Cup ties that have been shown against the likes of Sheff Utd, Middlesbrough, Reading, Portsmouth etc. that are boring and irrelevant.
  16. Honestly cant believe how horrific this is all going for Johnson/Sunderland it's actually quite comical if you ignore the fact that there is a young girl who got felt up by this weirdo. Fully expect Johnson to turn up to court tomorrow with a massive net and tell them that he uses it to catch kids. This is also his best photo... http://40.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5f6fwqGk21ql8a2ao1_500.jpg
  17. Aye, not guilty to the second two.
  18. He has pleaded guilty to grooming her and kissing her, he has pleaded *not* (EDIT) guilty (and is on trial for) digital penetration (sticky fingers) and oral sex (blowjob).
  19. This is quite possibly the worst defence I have ever seen in my life. He is trying to play the "honest card", I'm guilty of this and that I admit I wanted to do this... So he can then looked honest in his not guilty plea for the other two. Absolutely horrifically bad defence this is like. The prosecution are going to tear him about, the lass doing it is a really good prosecution lawyer. The "underage conversation" at Sunderland - I'd imagine all these other players are going to come forward in his defence to corroborate this story? If not then  As for Johnson throwing Sunderland under the bus by telling the world that the club allowed him to get away with it and continue playing  The bloke is ruined, I'm amazed that he hasn't pleaded guilty to all four offences to try get a lesser sentence if this is the best defence that he has.
  20. Payet is a bit "chunky" isn't he... Great finish as I write this mind.
  21. Blob is a far better keeper than most people give him credit for, better than most 1st choices in the Prem. No, his terrible sweeping up behind the defence is such a huge weakness in his game that he could never be a 1st choice Prem keeper. So you'd put Krul in ahead of him when he's back? I wouldn't, Krul's form had been awful before his injury and he looked a shadow of the keeper he had previously been. As for... Villa, Norwich, Sunderland, Liverpool, Swansea, Bournemouth - you think they've got better goalkeeping options than Blob?
