In a statement, chairman Mel Morris said Derby had "not made enough progress" under former Chelsea and Real Madrid assistant Clement, 44. 5th in the Championship, 5 points from the top He's on his first poor run as manager and without a win in 7 games, it seems at most clubs these days if you hit a bad run of form you get sacked. Ridiculous.

The celebration when he scores man imagine if he ever netted a winning goal in the cup final or something

He's not going to be another Facundo is he

Sissoko is one of our players who, on his day, is excellent and could beat anybody. Whereas in reality, he is often very inconsistent and is one of our players who doesn't look like he gives a toss as he knows he can secure a move away if he wants to.

Taken from Fifa.com Would anybody say that the Bournemouth player was effected in any way by Flamini's tackle? There was no contact between the two and the Bournemouth player didn't need to duck out of the challenge as he was scared of injury? Serious foul play A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play. A tackle that endangers the safety of an opponent must be sanctioned as serious foul play. Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play. Advantage should not be applied in situations involving serious foul play unless there is a clear subsequent opportunity to score a goal. The referee must send off the player guilty of serious foul play when the ball is next out of play. Aye, I just read that part now. I would still argue that there needs to be contact, I just cant get my head around sending someone off when they make a clean tackle and get all of the ball and none of the player. Although by the rulebook, it was probably a red.

Thoughts on that Flamini challenge? Yes he has gone in off the ground and two footed, but he has got all of the ball and none of the man. If we start giving fouls and yellow/red cards for challenges that "might" hurt people if they touch them, then we may as well stop tackling all together as every tackle could hurt someone if they touch them. If he had caught the player, then 100% a red but I think that was a very well timed tackle and he won all of the ball. ...and I absolutely hate Flamini.

This is exactly the point I'm trying to make, he's a good manager but nowhere near the level some seem to hype him up to be. His personality is a big thing, because he is so likeable people just bump him up to being some sort of managerial God.

A very long and complex situation which basically boils down to the fact that the TV rights for the Premier League cost an absolute fortune to buy, the PL want to keep the prices as high as possible so they restrict who can show matches live. They've proven in other European leagues (cant remember which, I think Germany?) in which nearly every match is shown live on TV but it has very little/no effect on attendances.

Considering he isn't a left back, he did pretty well yesterday - but again caused us a few issues with his defending (not necessarily his fault because he simply should not be playing there). Watching him win headers yesterday was pretty amusing, especially one against Anichibe just shows how pathetic West Brom were. Aarons is a player who has been hyped up massively after a handful of good (some excellent) performances, he has shown in a lot of his other games that he has a lot to learn and has a lot of improvement needed. A good option from the bench, still think if we had decent depth he'd benefit from being loaned to the likes of Brighton or Derby for a season to gain experience in a competitive league.

Absolutely agree with this. Top, top football managers should be able to walk into a team like Liverpool and lift them up - especially this season fgs, Leicester (LEICESTER) are top of the league It might not be "Klopp's team" but they have a much better squad than Leicester and are absolutely underperforming. His team selections and tactics have been very questionable so far. It would take an absolutely terrible manager to crash and burn with Dortmund in the Bundesliga, as that league has very poor competition in it. Dortmund were just coming back from being bankrupt a few years before when Klopp took over ffs. He built that club up to where they were and are now. He was unbelievable at Dortmund ffs Dortmund were still a decent club when he took over - they finished 13th the year before he took over, which was classed as a "disaster". Klopp built a good team at Dortmund and had some great seasons with them, but the standard of football in Germany is pretty poor and outside of Wolfsburg, Bayern and Dortmund the quality is absolutely dire. He started well with Mainz and took them up to great heights for them but nobody mentions how horrifically bad he was at the end of his career with Mainz though do they? He got them relegated and then failed to bring them back up and looked absolutely clueless in his latter time with them. Klopp is a good manager, not a great manager - his hype is down to his likeable personality rather than his actual credentials. They got to the Champions League final taking Real Madrid apart on the way, it wasn't like they only beat s*** smaller teams Aye, as I've said - they had some great seasons under Klopp but it still doesn't make him some sort of world class manager SMC had great success with Twente, which was a great achievement. Sometimes, managers find a team and have a great time with them. Klopp has been tactically clueless at Liverpool so far, it doesn't matter what lack of resources their team may have at the moment - they are massively underperforming and playing no better than us atm. Lets just all ignore the rest of his career, because his time at Mainz never happened and his imperfections so far at Liverpool never happened either. Because he had such a good time with one club.

How much shit would SMC get if in the 85th minute he bought on Steven Taylor in place of Sissoko to play up front for "chaos factor" when we are losing 1-0? On more than one occasion, Klopp has substituted attacking players for Caulker in a desperate attempt to get a goal back - seriously? How many other managers would that be deemed acceptable for?

As I said earlier, if I have been charged with sexual offences against a child - I would immediately be suspended from work until my trial was over, possibly, depending on the evidence against be sacked before my trial. Why on Earth it would be different for someone in the public eye 24/7, with great responsibilities and many young fans looking up to him I have no idea.
-
Having seen his goal again, I think it was probably right to disallow it. Mitrovic was massively in the way of the shot and had to move to let it fly past him, 100% interfering with the goalkeeper. However having said that, the linesman should have flagged immediately after the incident and not wait until the West Brom players went over and moaned about it.
-
Well will people accept that not every signing a football club makes will be successful? Carr has recommended some excellent footballers to NUFC, some we have bought - some we have not. People also forget that we have idiots trying to get these players he recommends for about £25 on £15 p/w wages, which severely dampens the quality of player we can go in for. We've signed some crap players, but then again... So has every other football club in the entire world. Some transfer do not just work, it happens.
-
You don't get charged unless the CPS believe there is strong evidence for conviction. There is absolutely no way that a 'man' (use the term loosely) currently awaiting trial for being a paedophile should be anywhere near a football pitch. Absolutely disgraceful that the mackems allow him to continue to do so. I know it is innocent until proven guilty, however, common sense should have prevailed - I know that I would not be continuing in my job until my trial was complete. Should be suspended until it is all over, as a suspension is not a punishment and allows for the investigation and case to be concluded.

Did I really just see him celebrating a 1-1 draw away at Swansea with the fans like a 4-0 win away at Arsenal?
-
Was most surprised with Taylor yesterday, thought he was excellent - although to be fair I think I could have defended against West Brom yesterday as they were terrible and had absolutely no attacking threat.
-
Steady performance, I think people forget that he has played about 3 games all season - we wont see the best of Townsend until the end of this/start of next season. Looked ok though and got some decent balls in the box, which is exactly what we want from him.
-
Another good performance from Jonjo, some of his passing is absolutely outstanding. He will also hit a pass too long or make some sort of gash ball every now and again because it would be impossible for every single one of them balls he tries to play to come off - but a majority of his play was excellent yesterday. We've been needing a player like him for a long time, someone to move us forwards rather than backwards.
-
A vital player for us - he holds the ball up, brings other players into the game and keeps the pressure away from our defence. His finish for his goal was well taken, a lot of pressure running through on goal when you are in poor scoring form but he took it very well. Some of his touches and lay offs for team mates were superb. Pace is not the problem, if he learns to run at defenders and get past them then we'll have a very, very good striker on our hands. I really like him, plus he's one of our very few players who perform and look like they actually give a shit.
-
Absolutely terrible performance, not a single player can come away from that with the slightest bit of credibility (bar Rob the Blob). You can have "off days" but we seem to have more regularly than we do good days. Absolutely no point analysing that game, nothing worthy to say about it. To add insult to injury we now have Mbemba with an injury and Lascelles banned for 3 games. Need a massive performance against West Brom on Saturday, absolutely massive.
