Don't really understand why Sunderland's actions are being discussed, as others have mentioned they have broken no laws or rules in their conduct so will suffer absolutely no consequences for it. Yes they are now nonce sympathisers, but other than a few chants that will soon be forgotten it's hardly the story of the century. All it has shown is what we already knew, football clubs are ultimately extremely bent and will go to daft measures to get results. Plus the fact that we punch horses, so we're worse.

Defence clutching at straws imo, they really are relying on the prosecutions case not being strong enough because the defence is very poor.

He sounds like a charming little boy 100% that its Fletcher like.

The argument that Sunderland will have is that Johnson admitted to the lesser offences and has no unsupervised contact with girls under the age of 16 in his normal working day. It is totally different if he was a social worker or teacher, as he would be required to have unsupervised contact in those professions. They haven't actually done anything wrong. Morally, of course they have - but that is a decision the club is entitled to make. The fact that Sunderland and Johnson hid the fact that he had already admitted the offences, is also morally wrong but they did it in order to avoid a backlash. Sadly, with Johnson being a key player for them they would always make the same decision. I have no doubt that Sunderland and Johnson both agreed that he would be sacked as soon as the case came to court, they'd have both known the plan all along. Remember Leicester last season? Those youth players being racist to some Thai prostitutes in a sex video and shortly later being sacked. Well a video emerged of Vardy being racist (saying similar insults) to a person of similar origin and had nothing but a fine. Clubs simply do not want to sack their key players.

Delighted that Flamini decided to welly one into Messi and give away a daft penalty to cost me my money back like, 1-0 would have been alright.
-
Spot on. The club have broken the law. He had already confessed the same information to the police though, so it is nothing new. Sunderland should have sacked him as soon as he confessed to kissing a 15 year old girl, there is no other possible outcome for that conversation other than sacking him with immediate effect. Legally they have done nothing wrong, in the football rule book they have done nothing wrong, but morally they have acted despicably.

Bloody Muller popping up with a late goal my bet was looking awesome until that point.

That place will explode when the trial ends... Guilty: yeah but the mags hit horses, this mag at work, saw a mag on the bus, mag mag mag Not Guilty: yeahh! AJ showing the mags that they talk shit, she said she was 18 and in a nightclub, he only admitted to kissing her for laughs

Figures 1-0 Football replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
Sadly I am currently in rehab for an ACL reconstruction, this will come too soon for me. -
Who even cares about them like? If Big Marge stays or goes, does it really matter? Will it effect the team? They've broken no rules to get a deduction or anything, so really - nobody should care less. All they've done is highlight what we already knew before, they're just a sad little club that nobody is bothered about.

Just not convinced personally, can see Wenger getting it right tonight and nullifying Barca with the game possibly heading for a 0-0. Might be horrifically wrong, it's more of a hunch tonight then anything really.

Surely it gets to the point where when it's going so badly, there's a big screen showing text messages saying you wanted to get a Year 10 lass's jeans off, a text message saying you can't last more than ten seconds without going off and a picture of your cock you're just gonna go "OK, let's just end the trial here, I change my plea to guilty". I'd be mortified if a full courtroom of people were looking at a photo of my penis like, cos I don't really like my penis.

Imagine watching him play as a defensive winger for us under Pardew Tracking back to help out Dummett

Oh dear oh dear his lies slowly starting to unravel...

Oh, I absolute love this piece... At the point he was licking the tonsils of a 15 year old girl, he suddenly grew some morals and realised that he was acting incorrectly. So he swiftly told the girl and wished her a good day and returned to his normal life. Aye Adam, that is exactly what happened isn't it son

I've got:- Arsenal 1-0 @ 14/1 Draw 0-0 @ 14/1 Barca 1-0 @ 17/2 Juve 1-0 @ 15/2 Draw 0-0 @ 7/1 Bayern 1-0 @ 11/2 £20 on each and £10 on the doubles (9 combinations), can't see there being many goals tonight - two close games that could go either way with a single goal.

Love how their club tried to cover up Johnson touching kiddies because they wanted to survive relegation. How long until we find out that they offered Rolf Harris a place on the physio team? Or Gary Glitter to provide after dinner entertainment
-
In his defence given less than 24 hours ago, he tried to claim the cast would have prevented him digitally penetrating the girl... Now he has back tracked entirely and admitted the cast only covered his thumb.
-
Johnson looks bad, but from what I've read they're no closer to proving digits/blowie beyond all reasonable doubt. In the absence of any forensic evidence, witnesses, footage - it's her word vs his on those key issues. Aye, but if the jury think that Johnson is a liar "beyond all reasonable doubt" then he will be convicted based on that. From what I have read he looks as slimey and slippery as they come, so will expect the jury to see that also.
-
Stay and fight for your place, or move to a club who didn't want you in the Summer and still don't want you now. There is just simply no reasoning for him running off other than the fact that he's bottled it.
-
What is s*** about it? what is the reasonable explanation for Thauvin running off at the earliest opportunity? He left here knowing full well that he wont even be first choice at Marseille! If he left us for first team football or to a club that he loved etc. then there would be another argument - but he did not.
-
Johnson is free to change his plea at any time, he would have done it by now if he was going to. He'll be hoping that the prosecution cannot prove beyond all reasonable doubt to the jury that he is a liar. Based on the evidence that has been shared by the media, I'd be very surprised at this stage if he is found not guilty.
-
Scan showed that his calf injury is not too bad and he might be fit for the Stoke game.
-
Just don't get his defence at all, I'm understanding the 'be honest' to try and appear honest for the other two charges but not when you've admitted that you've lied for the past 11 months. "I was a liar but I'm honest now like" "It's just convenient that I'm not guilty of the two more serious offences that have less incriminating evidence"
