  1. The ref got the descision right, but no fucking way did he actually see that feint touch on the ball from Zouma Even with the feint touch, it's still a penalty. The feint touched came after he had already knocked Atsu over, from behind.
  2. Love how it's been a case of 'West Ham weren't good today', 'Swansea were poor today' and 'Stoke weren't at their best today' rather than accepting that we might actually be playing well and controlling games (as we did for a majority of last season). Hughes thinking we sat off and let them have the ball because we rate them alongside Barcelona, whereas that is how we play and we played like that against Burton Albion. It's effective and it is winning us points. Stoke might have had 8% more posession or whatever it was, but we had numerous more chances and they were fortunate that the scoreline wasn't greater. The fact that pundits clearly didn't watch us last season is evidenced by this, not knowing how we play under Rafa. As Elliot correctly said, we'll be happy to quietly go about our business and keep winning games.
  3. Of course a terrible 1-0 played out by two terrible teams is ahead of us on MOTD. Cant wait for our 3 minute slot and for them to analyse the midweek Champions League games after rather than discuss how well we played.
  4. Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if Palace lose their next 6 games too Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, NUFC, West Ham and Tottenham Even being optimistic I couldn't see them getting more than 2-4 points out of that run.
  5. The most confidence we've had in our CBs for how many years? Clark and Lascelles are undroppable at present, Lejeune on the bench and Mbemba available if needed.
  6. Love Ritchie, he really epitomises what is good about NUFC at the minute.
  7. One of many ridiculous posts, two games in.
  8. From the Gallowgate it looked like a good strike, not seen it back though.
  9. We played some excellent football in the first half like, really neat passing. A great win, thought we might drop our heads when they equalised but we dug deep and thoroughly deserved that win. What were the Stoke fans saying on their forum again? Happy for teams to underestimate us, said it all of last season that the PL below the top 6 or 7 is a bunch of average teams who arevery similar, we are one of them, but we have one of (if not the best) manager out of them. Not seen the highlights yet, but the refereeing was atrocious on first viewing.
  10. Proving today why he's first choice. Kicking was miles better today too.
  11. The difference between Stoke and the mackems is that the mackems have overspent by tens of millions each year. Stoke have bought and sold well, whilst also charging people to go to their games rather than giving away an extortionate amount of tickets each game. One is run by fairly intelligent folk, the other has been run into the ground.
  12. Pardew () correctly said the other day that 12 wins is enough to stay up (assuming you draw a few and not lose every other remaining game). On that basis we need 10 wins from our remaining 34 games, I'd be very surprised if this squad (with Rafa) couldn't achieve that.
  13. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/how-did-you-react-when-murphy-scored.1391097/page-1 Some of the posts on there are quite amusing. I particularly enjoyed:
  14. A Villa player denied his team mate a winning goal late on today as he blocked a shot on the line The highlights are hilarious viewing.
  15. The highlights are on Sky Sports website for those who want to continue laughing.
  16. How much did you win from your bets? £100 on at 5/2 = £350 £50 on at 8/1 = £450 Could have got better odds a few days ago but was mulling it over for ages and didn't go for it until late.
  17. What length contract has Grayson got? Could they even afford to sack him even if it carries on like this?
  18. It's probably obvious, but RTG is fantastic viewing rigt now. VillaTalk is just as good too.
  19. 26,021 apparently Not even close, would be amazed if there was 19k there.
  20. 30k to be announced as the attendance, no doubt. Hoyed on Forest to win (£100) and Forest to win with big Dazza scoring anytime (£50).
