  1. Absolutely no chance. He left Palace due to lack of funds, and they literally haven't got a pot to piss in.
  2. Indeed. I watched that in a pub in Harlow with a Millwall supporting mate, he went crackers and I was laughing my stones off...half the pub tried to kill us and we very very nearly got a good shoeing but escaped with a couple of cuts and bruises.
  3. This Charming Manquillo then Willian it was really nothing.
  4. A mate of mine's a Boro season ticket holder, reckons Chambers was outstanding for them and we should definitely go for him.
  5. One of my happiest memories as a kid was coming in from school and seeing that hanging up in my wardrobe with Lee 7 on the back. Wore the rash on my neck that it gave me with pride. We only wore it once as well against Sheff Wed away. Aye nice strip, I was at the game too....last minute Cole winner after a Ruel Fox miscontrol. Those Asics strips were nice to look at but harsh on the wearer....not as bad as Bukta for nipple rash though!

  7. An outstanding top, last kit modern era shirt i bought iirc. Wish there was a which football tops do you own thread, as I've got some crackers from the 80's, including original Umbro 83-85 home and away shirts. Passed some original Bukta tops down to my son too.
  8. I thought he was an absolute pudding the first time I saw him play, and I've seen nothing from him since to convince me otherwise. As a player, he literally has no redeeming features about him whatsoever , apart from being a little bit radge. Hopefully him and Colback are the first two out of the door.
  9. Especially when the source of most of their goals will have f***ed off. After Defoe with 15 their next top scorer is Anichebe with 3 Oof, ya fucker.
  10. Best home strip we've had in a long time.
  11. Well said. As much as Mike loves his money, he cannot fail to have been excited on Sunday, and must have seen the potential this club has under someone like Rafa. Exciting times ahead hopefully.
  12. They've been losing north of £30m a season for years, are £150m plus in debt and are about to see a £60m drop in turnover. It's not looking particularly great for them.
  13. I don't know if he's still there, would seem a bit bizarre if he was, but he was in the Jesmond Dene Hotel for quite a while. He stayed at the Hilton when he first arrived. Has a house in Jesmond now not far from Jesmond Dene House actually. Yikes, we're practically neighbours.
  14. "Warriors! Come out to plaa-aay." Different film.......The Wanderers is set in the 50's and The Warriors in the 70's. They were both out at the same time mind, can remember watching them one after the other at my mates house on his top loader Betamax. Can't remember much about the Wanderers, except 'Don't f*** with the Wongs' from the stereotypical Chinese kung fu gang......and them fighting hundreds of people on the football pitch at the end.
  15. He looks like the leader of the Fordham Baldies in the 70's gang film The Wanderers. One for the teenagers.
  16. Aye, the guy is a c***. He seems to like the limelight a bit, anything of note happens and he's having a fake funeral or going to Sunderland to 'wind up the mackems'. The guy doesn't support the club, he just uses it as a means of gaining attention. He's an embarrassing melt but you can't deny he's a fan.......he definitely used to go late 70's/early 80's when we were toss.
  17. Do you not think Brewse would want to do us a favour?
  18. Had an interesting chat with a mate of mine who lives in the Gulf in the pub before the Preston game. He'd heard from someone close to Short that apparently he has no absolutely no intention of squandering his family fortune/legacy on Sunderland, and has effectively pulled the plug until he can offload it. Not sure how he intends to do that without taking a massive financial hit mind. The same fella also said that there's definitely a few people over there interested in acquiring NUFC.
  19. What an absolute parcel of shit this is.
