  1. But at least he moves which was my point. I'm not saying he's Gary Lineker like. Moves where exactly? Certainly not into the box when crosses come in. At least Murphy has the excuse of being in his 30's, whereas the fitness and application for a bloke of Mitrovic's age are nothing short of a disgrace.
  2. But has he had any big misses today? I guess it doesn't count as a miss if someone puts the ball right across you in front of an open goal and you don't make any attempt to kick, head or chest it into the net. That's the thing, regardless of his chronic lack of form and the missed chances, he should he grafting his stones off on the 0itch to try and put it right, but he barely breaks sweat. Ritchie had a right go at him in the 1st half about it after that low ball in. He talks a good game but it just looks like he's sacked if off for me, the big baby.
  3. Trying his best to gift them a 3rd mind. An absolute bag of nerves.
  4. Absolutely fucking abysmal that mind. Possibly the worst 45 minutes I've ever seen from a striker there from Mitrovic, utterly shameful. Perez only just behind him mind.
  5. I watched the Valencia/Madrid game in a bar in Valenica on Wednesday night, amazing game and needless to say, they all had much love for our manager and a few Rafa songs went up. Great night although it's fair to say it's all still a bit hazy.
  6. Please tell me you're not actually being serious.
  7. Such a waste of a career though, I wonder why one the top four clubs didn't take a chance him at some point? Spurs did twice. Or are you talking about the old top 4? Just wondering why Chelsea, Arsenal or either of the Manchester clubs didn't buy him, especially when you look at some of the utter toss they've bought.

  9. Some boy Defoe mind, manages to score another couple of goals and fix all of the internet connections on Wearside on the same day.
  10. The other side of that coin is that our away record has been excellent. Does he get any credit for that?
  11. I think deep down, we all knew how this was going to end.
  12. Heard some rather worrying news tonight from someone at the club close to Charnley.......apparently Ashley is furious that (given his outlay) that we're not blitzing the division, and Charnley is trying to keep the peace between them. Clearly he hasn't learned anything from his previous seasons in football ie not everything is about pounds and pence. The beginning of the end I think, hope the Rafa Out lot enjoy Warnock or Pardew's second coming.
  13. Didn't really expect anything after what I was told yesterday but lived in hope more than anything else. A gentle reminder to everyone that the two-bob chancer is never ever going to change the way he operates. That said, what's done is done and we should have more than enough to see this through.....time for the manager, the players and especially the fans to grow a pair and get on with it.
  14. Just spoken to my man when I was picking the kids up, tried to get some info out of him.....pretty much backs up what the papers have been saying. There won't be any money spent tomorrow. Townsend is wanted by Rafa and wants to come back, but the stumbling block is Mbemba who doesn't want to go to Palace apparently. Unlikely to happen were his words. With regards Ashley, he has had discussions with Rafa/Charnley about not spending anymore money, and his reasoning was that the club had the best/highest paid manager/squad in the division so need to get on with it. Benitez wanted a couple of new faces in but had to agree with him, and there is no major issue there. For now. Benitez really disappointed with the contributions of Colback, Perez and Mitrovic among others.
  15. I'm predicting rivers of tears tomorrow night.
  16. But but he destroyed Preston man.......and nobody else has his passion.
  17. You're going to look like a glazed donut. Face like a plasterer's radio.
  18. I think this is what is commonly referred to as karma.
  19. What a thoroughly acceptable day of association football.
  20. The irony being that on my 4 visits to Roker Park (including the infamous 1985 game), they were absolutely nowhere to be seen, we had the run of the place, and there were usually large groups of our lot in various bits of their ground. That's not glorifying violence in any way, that's just what I saw. Apparently though, they were a load of crazed ninja pit men who destroyed any team they came up against, regardless of numbers. Everybody was scared of them and they never lost any battles ever. Not being a hoolie dick but.... North Shields Ferry landing. Of the North Shields pubs: The Ballarat, The Sir Colin Campbell, The Mariners Arms, The Prince of Wales, The Porthole, The Olde Hundred, The Top House....all emptied and kicked the living s*** out of every mackem who bothered to turn up. Remember that mackem who got his living life kicked out of him by the one eyed Burgo brother and jumped into the Tyne to escape? I do. my local...they were watching the mackems from the bog window at the wolsington. They watched them get off then the ferry departed.... They only lost as it was a bunch of bouncers/hired militia with machine guns and stuff is the usual Ferry excuse.
  21. The Crouch goal was a thing of absolute beauty.
