Yes, yes I did. He comes from a country that is arguably home to the best quality meat on earth, and yet he's buying the tasteless irradiated pink shite served up by supermarkets. Saw him and his girlfriend in Sainsbury's earlier and was shocked at how scrawny he was, little wonder he gets bullied on the pitch. The reason he continues to own us is to advertise his company all over the World via the Premier League. A half empty stadium covered with Sportsdirect logos, will reflect badly on his company whichever way you look at it. That is why our match day and season tickets are among the cheapest in the league, and part of the reason for this summers transfer outlay (there was a load of season ticket holders didn't renew). You're probably right when you say the gate money isn't as important anymore, but he certainly does give a toss about whether the stadium is full or not.

TCA taking them down is the stuff that dreams are made of, but sadly he would probably keep them up if appointed. Haaawayy Baaally lad.

Very much this. I think for a couple of seasons, he was one of very best defenders I've ever seen here, but those days have long gone sadly. He was also one of my favourite players as well who genuinely seemed to love the club, but that whole episode when he tried to engineer a move away, has left a very bad taste.
