FWIW I pretty much agree with you Greg, apart from the bold bits. If his sloppiness had put us in serious danger, then I wouldn't have had to commit the cardinal sin of N-O (though shalt not disagree with the vocal minority). I do think he was an accident waiting to happen. It didn't happen. I can see he has a lot of strengths, but I do also find him slightly comical (he will forever be Cat from Red Dwarf to me, just can't 'unsee' it). Hoping he isn't another Bramble type (occasional glimpses of world-beating potential, mainly hidden under the bushel of being a error-generating liability). Will be as delighted as anyone if he proves an asset to the team and 'owns' the right side of the pitch ("That's mine. That's mine."). Just have a bad feeling about him.

He was excellent yesterday man. He had a decent second half, the part of it he lasted. Just watched the game again and still think he was a liability in the first.

This, needs more minutes and needs to play with Perez withdrawn behind him, they've had a good understanding in the past, something we're missing with this Gayle/Diame experiment. Think he needs more minutes, and to have his coach and fans believe in him (I know he should earn it, but he's the kind of player who will run through walls if he feels loved). Don't think we've seen enough evidence to suggest that Mitro with Perez behind is the solution, especially if not scoring enough goals is the problem. Would like to see Gayle running off him: like a poor man's/championship version of Shearer and Bellamy.

Didn't see reasons for glowing praise. Did see multiple unforced errors: mainly dodgy as fuck passing in the first half. He's fast, looks like a hairdresser, silly first name, and seems a bit of a waste of space. In all respects reminds me of a defensive version of Sterling. Imagine those two on the same wing... Would be like an autobahn crossed with a skid pan: fast as fuck but never get anywhere. Raheem seems to have had a resurgence, and let's face it cost shed loads of dosh, so hoping the 'positive' similarities continue.
