Or Elliott Anderson...

Yep, 100% my opinion - see my comment above.

Imagine how good that would look with the NUFC 1980s badge. Not sure why Adidas didn't go for that especially as it would perfectly match the 1970s/80s aesthetic they seem to be going for with the kit design and the promo photos. Also this year's kit set the precedent for doing this.

Not wild on the badge but otherwise that's nice. I look forward to buying the pro version of that this time next year when it's 60% off.

I forgot he even existed. I wonder if anyone reminded Liam Delap about his existence... -

It's just the state of the modern game that £45 million is a fair price for him even though it seems insanely high. It's on the table, they know it and he knows it. We should now move on to other targets which may in turn cause them to reconsider the offer. -
Agreed. It's not their fault more of a symptom of the 24 hour news cycle. Makes you really miss the halcyon says of the Teletext football gossip page.

Evan Ferguson anyone? He was tipped to be a world beater just a couple of years ago and is still only 20. Unless there is some context to his drop off I don't know of that is.
-
If real best of a meh bunch. I think with a few tweaks it could have been great. Also is it just me or does the trefoil look small.
-
This I 100% agree with. They were complete blandifications of the kits they were imitating.
-
I mostly agree, not sure I'd go as far as bad but certainly boring. I did still order the home kit when it went on sale with Burn on the back, but I would have ordered pretty much any kit we won something in especially when a local lad scored the opening goal.
-
Yeah that is pretty ugly and dull, as well as being pretty on the nose with the whole Saudi ownership thing. Adidas kits have been pretty underwhelming overall. I really liked the last season under Castore, even the Saudi one (see picture) was pretty nice.

Good news if true. My main concern with this transfer was would the price get dragged up and the process dragged out impacting other deals, £30 million seems like a good deal for us. Like others I can see/hope Pope stays for another season as he's a very good keeper and this gives Trafford more time to settle in.
-
Full disclosure I didn't watch the game but can anyone give a single argument for Henderson playing in this game and being in this squad. I'm not that invested in England so I don't really care but I honestly can think of a single good reason.
-
100% he's the smart move. For Pedro, Elanga et al you pay a 10 million plus premium. With him you have a good chance of getting him 5 million or more under value as Chelsea are spoilt toddlers with shiny-new-shite syndrome. And all the arguments about Howe improving players for signing Elanga and Pedro still apply.
-
Shame, clearly the right decision for Spurs but like others I was really hoping they would "Do a Man U" keep him on, let him buy a couple of overpriced players overly suited to a particular system then bin him off midseason. I would have given us 2 transfer windows and a season to put them further in our rearview mirror.

It might be a false memory but I vividly remember Dyer sprinting down the right wing and him doing exactly this. If this actually happened can anyone with a better memory remember who this against? For a short time Dyer was so exciting, insane turn of pace and great close control.

João Pedro - Chelsea Agree Deal With Brighton (Ornstein)

What are the links? Anything more than the usual Twitter stuff? -
What prompted the bump, anything specific or just the Torygraph article?

Assists is all he needs to add to his game, he's class.
-
In terms of revealing the clear needs of the team if it is to progress without any meaningful cost (though a win would have netted about £6 million more in prize money no?) that wasn't far off the perfect result. If you watched that game you might only question the need for a new keeper, I firmly believe we do need a new one but based on the game alone you might question it. The need for pace at CB, more guile and penetration at RW and someone to challenge/take the load of Isak upfront was all so obvious. You could even add a midfielder to that list as well. It feels great to be pretty confident that these needs will be met as well.

For the next 24, maaaaaybe 48 hours. I take it all back, I briefly don't strongly dislike you as a club

One of my favourite ever kits. I have it with Coloccini on the back.
