  1. This is the shirt it immediately reminded me of too.
  2. Agreed, Juve's is just dull.
  3. I would put this as exhibit A in my list of shirts that prove my point that the overly simple/clean design style has well and truly run its course. Consider that fact that a whole team of people with multiple qualifications in design and collectively decades of experience designed this incredibly bland and dull shirt. I bet they were so bored doing it. It looks like a basic exercise shirt you would pick up at a knockdown price in Sports Direct.
  4. That's the one I was on about earlier. Because Arteta and Arsenal kicked up such a fuss over the Joelinton goal this much more cut and shut refereeing fuck up which occurred before the goal was totally ignored.
  5. Was it not Havertz who did the nasty studs up challenge on Longstaff only to get a yellow in the game Arsenal fans bleat on about the Joelinton goal? He's a lucky player who seems to get away with quite a few nasty fouls.
  6. Wilson is really underrated at doing this because he's not that tall. I bet he's strong as fuck and his lower center of gravity help him shunt bigger players around. So I'm not too worried Botman struggled a little. He was pretty good overall.
  7. Between him and Wissa we've spent £110 million on squad players.
  8. Good game from him. He's still not 100% on the same wave length as key team mates and he needs to work on his movement as he often seems to move into positions where the pass to him is blocked or he crowds a team mates space. But I really do think these can be worked on in pre-season and we'll see a huge improvement in him next season.
  9. Bar the thick blue stripes I'm fine with that. The redo of a classic shirt or the overly simple "classic" style has run its course for me. We need to actually try something new for there to be future classics and not just diminishing return repeats.
  10. Emotional attachment aside selling Murphy if there is a buyer is a good move. Elanga would be sold at a loss, also I think if we sell Murphy another right winger would come in and Elanga long term would become a bench option. We really did badly over pay for him.
  11. Some odd managerial moves all round IF this all happens, you have to wonder what various people/clubs are thinking. Real - why hire a manager who has a pretty poor recent record of winning trophies, managing big personalities and high pressure situations when you need them to do all three? Alonso - why go to a club you have no connection to and who have a record of chewing out managers when you have just experienced that and have a reputation to maintain/rebuild? Irola - why make such a sideways step (or even a backwards step) when you seem posied to make the step up?
  12. I was thinking the same. Real you can totally understand as they are Real and he had a personal connection as he had so much success as a player there. Chelsea would make no sense at all apart from that he'd get to live in London, be paid loads and be paid millions more when they sack him after 6-9 months. Hang on there may just be a certain logic to him going there... (I don't actually think he'll go there, I think it's just the rumour mill doing its thing).
  13. We given I can only ever watch 20 seconds of those videos, from what I saw he can stand upright, walk around a bit AND do this while holding a ball. I'm sold.
  14. I did look back and I couldn't see an obvious reason why, but why has this turned into the Malik Thiaw thread? Was Wilson even that involved in identifying him, I'm almost certain we were strongly linked the summer before so him being a target pre-dates Wilson. P.s. I do firmly agree Wilson has a highly punchable face.
  15. Reminds me of the Newcastle kit where Northern Rock was in gold on it.
  16. 100% agree on this. In fact wasn't that he can play RB mentioned as a reason he was signed? He's also a lot faster than Burn so wouldn't be targeted with pace the same way Burn is.
  17. That is random and I didn't know about the YouTube thing. Good to know that. Bundesliga 2 is a bit like the Championship in that it's really competitive and still a good standard. It's a bit of a tonic to all the entrenched advantages in so many top flight leagues. As many on here probably know based on the number of Geordie voices you hear in the Altstadt on any given weekend Fortuna is a good day out. Start off in the Altstadt with either an Alt or a beer from a kiosk drank on the steps which look out onto the Rhine. Then borrow a bike and cycle along the Rhein to the stadium via another beer at the Fortuna budchen at the bottom of the Rheinpark. A have a few in the stadium drinking then while watching the game as you can do that here then back on the bike for a night in the Altstadt. Can't go far wrong with that.
  18. What is the record for most points dropped from winning positions? We have to be close to that.
  19. Absolutely, very comfortable in the end. Still not safe but it's fully in their own hands now. I meant to ask why do you support Magdeburg?
  20. With all those crossing black lines of different width it looks a bit like a magic eye (remember them) book. I keep expecting an apple or something to appear in 3D if I squint and cross my eyes. I actually don't mind it apart from the fat blue stripes which I just don't get why Adidas are doing. They remind me of another 90s throwback like when you mum would get a rip off kit from down the market and they would have either disproportioned stripes or even worse 4 stripes.
  21. We just need Man U to fluke another win then they appoint Carrick full time. He'll be sacked before Easter and they spurn the chance that qualifying for the Champions League offers them.
  22. I feel he has to be part of our GK solution. Sell Pipe, send Ramsdale back, keep him as back up and buy a new first choice.
  23. Yep, been here since 2013. I've probably seen more live Fortuna games than Newcastle, but my support is pretty casual.
