  1. They had one "shot" on target.
  2. No Juice. No justice.
  3. Just looked at it. I don't think it's that bad and all decisions, bar Henderson, I think can be explained or at least partially justified when you factor in tactics and formations. Case in point, if you want to go 3 at the back with wingbacks Kyle Walker could be useful option. Personally I'd have Tino in there but it's not travesty territory. Henderson does however defy all logic.
  4. 100% what I thought. Still think it's a collection of random elements that don't work as a whole.
  5. Yeah, that was pretty much the perfect result for me. I always felt a win and Champions League was more important to Man U, that plus my longstanding dislike for the club meant wanting a Spurs win was the obvious choice. But to win (or lose) in such disgraceful fashion really was the cherry on top. Spurs' only shot "on target" was dogshit control, a lucky deflection and maybe the faintest of trickles with the studs. They had no control of the game at all. Man U had all the ball but seeing them trying to score was like watching someone try to play snooker with cooked spaghetti.
  6. I watched the second half and it was really low quality stuff. Man U were so bad they couldn't make Spurs, who were doing the footballing equivalent of curling up into a ball on the ground, Spurs it. Fingers crossed this gives Ange a few months at Spurs and stops Man U buying Delap or similar who could help them get out of this increasingly deep selfdug hole of theirs.
  7. I don't think so. He used to do some good tactical analysis articles in The Athletic, now it just seems to be fluff like this article that says nothing.
  8. Perhaps a controversial take here. But one kit I've disliked the most in recent years is this season's away kit. It's not that objectively bad, it just took an all time classic and remade in a very meh way, basically taking that design off the table in terms of away kit design for the next few years.
  9. Has he ever gone an entire season not scoring? I don't think he has. Hopefully that will give him that extra little motivation needed.
  10. On the plus side, that 4 point hit I took to put Watkins in my fantasy team for Isak is looking a pretty smart move. This game is great example of why I really hope we go for Delap as Isak is fragile and can take an age to get back up to speed.
  11. 100% I can't believe it wasn't panned harder. The sharks it he Colosseum was a clear sign the film makers had not faith in their film or audience.
  12. Absolutely want Spurs to win for this reason, along with my decades long honed dislike for Man United.
  13. I'm kind of amazed he's lasted this long. I predicted his sacking since the 4 nil humping last year where I first saw the slumped hangdog "What do I do now mate?!?" body language that has been virtually an ever present this season. I think the injuries in the first half of the season have saved him as they masked his failings and by the time they cleared up it was unquestionable he was the problem it was that time of the season where it was really hard to get someone better. Levy gets a lot of hate from Spurs fans but I don't see him doing a Moyes-esq manager replacement where partially mitigate the current issue but essentially extend the real problem by 18 months. Anyway it really fucks me off that one of Spurs or Man U will be in the Champions League next year while one or more of us, Villa and Forest will miss out (if Man City and Chelsea miss out I'll be totally fine with that).
  14. I've ordered this season's shirt with Burn on the back. It'll go right into my top 3 favourite shirts, the others being my original 1995/96 shirt and my 2011/12 shirt with Northern Rock on the front and Coloccini on the back.
  15. I think we're going to try to dominate the middle with a very aggressive press from the a front three of Isak, Barnes and Gordon. Murphy at RWB and Tino at LWB being tasked with providing the width. I expect Burn in the centre of the three and Schär stepping out at times to allow one or both of Bruno and Tonali to push up. I like that we've got a new formation as I've mentioned one of the only criticisms of Howe you could make is that we so often play the same formation. Lack of attacking options off the bench is a bit of a concern. Very nervous here.
  16. Yeah not a fan of that. Just seems to have loads of random aspects that don't work together at all. It also looks really cheap. Hey ho, I only buy kits occasionally these days so I'm not overly fussed.
  17. I don't follow these things that closely but what are the 5? The normal one, the winners 25 one and now this one (which is turboshite in my humble opinion).
  18. I know we've not sold great but we've been really unlucky with injuries in this respect. He probably only stayed this season due to injuries now this harms his chances of being moved on for money in the summer again. Same could be said of Lascelles, Wilson and perhaps Willock.
  19. When he came on I wasn't hopeful as it seemed like a game that wasn't suited to his attributes, pace and running aren't that useful against a team camped in their own third. So I was very pleasantly surprised to see him score. Excited to see him next season bring the footballing equivalent of the Drunken Master to games.
  20. I see him or Longstaff being sold. I'd rather Longstaff as I feel Miley is a more natural and potentially significantly superior replacement. Willock's issue is he needs games to show his best but he doesn't make our best starting lineup. I'd keep him as he will get more games next season with European football and while he is a bit of a square peg in our current system he could be a really useful player in a slightly different one and we really need to add rotation of players and systems to our game to move up to the next level, which I really believe we're on the verge of doing. As others have said yesterday was a game that was really ill suited to his main assets which are fast transitions and stretching play. Imagine next year he gets 75 minutes in Europe midweek, so he's not rusty like now, then on the weekend with us drawing or even losing he comes on in a game that is getting stretched (or visa versa). He could be really valuable. Also that assist, he can have magic in his boots.
  21. Why? I don't get this on any level. I've no desire to see City in another FA Cup final and I'd rather Forest were distracted by a final than City as I see them more likely to be a risk to a the Champions League place as based on City's run in and general quality I see them taking one for sure.
  22. How was that not a yellow? Brutal cropping.
  23. I was trying to work out how I feel about DCL then I settled on this thought experiment. Imagine it's the 70th minute and we're losing by a goal against Chelsea. Isak is having one of those games he can have and looks a bit done in. Up comes the substitute board and DCL is coming on. How do you feel? Is he likely to get the goal we need? For me I'd feel exactly like I would if i saw that a 2025 version of Wilson was coming on. Plus he'd have a contract for at least 3 seasons. He represents false economy for me.
