Having the richest owners in the sport hasn't even sunk in yet. Just buzzing to go back to SJP and having the whole fanbase wanting us to win every week.
-
Going further in the cups was the last point I think, not conceding less. But aye it had me fuming.

Such a weird take by Luke Moore on the latest Ramble about Newcastle fans and Bruce.

Aye Owen didn't seem a fan of the Rafa approach..No suprise there. ''We played a game against Celtic and I came off thinking, 'Oh, I've played well there. I've impressed the new gaffer.' "Players were playing only half the game but I'd chipped the 'keeper, my link-up play was great and I thought I'd definitely impressed him." Making his way off the pitch for the expected plaudits, Benitez, unlike other managers Owen had worked under, was more concerned with alternative aspects of the striker's performance. "He just came over to me and said, 'Right, you're doing too much of this, too little of that, I want you getting in behind more...' "I was just like, 'Ok, ok', and went back into my room with Jamie Carragher, 'One of the best performances I've probably ever put in, and he's just caned me there!' "He has a very strange way of interacting with people, but it has obviously worked for him over time. Did I misjudge it? Probably, but I've never seen anything like him again, nor have the lads there." Crucially, Michael Owen extended his bemused reaction to Benitez's characteristics to those experienced by two former teammates of his. "Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher basically won the Champions League for him," he recalled, "and I don't think he's ever said 'Well done' or patted them on the back. "That's just his character."

Honestly I just avoid City and Pep roulette as much possible

I know they've done alright today but all this talk about Villa being much better without Grealish now with their new signings. I'm not seeing it.

Lewa got 41 in 29 games last season to be fair. Even missing 5 games he managed to best Muller's record that has stood for over 40 years. It's a push to say Kane would somehow score even more I reckon. Lewa is 5 years older but looks much sharper and in better shape. Kane is quality too of course, but he's prone to looking very sluggish and off the pace at times despite what should really be his prime. Think he's been underwhelming in all the finals he's played and majority of the Euro's to be honest.
-
Lewandowski has probably been the best player in the world the last 18 months or so.

Would Cavani not start seeing as yous made him stay and not go away with Uruguay, and he's had two weeks solid training? I'd just assumed he would and Ronaldo will come off the bench to a massive reception early second half.

Have found this one: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.goal.com/en-gb/amp/news/premier-league-referees-do-officials-favour-big-clubs-such/wx6k4t7nyfl21e4dxpnk6y0it

South Korea in the 2002 world cup springs to mind as games where the refs were obviously biased. Italy one you could possibly dispute but the Spain game that followed was one of the most blatant attempts to rig a game you will see.
-
Bruce has 1 win in 26 against this lot, I don't think the ref will have much effect on the outcome

Villa insisted about lying about Grealish having a clause in his contract for over a year though to be fair. I'm not sure why they aren't getting more shit for that. Alot of that statement was damage limitation on their end, which seems to have worked a treat as Grealish is the one getting death threats and a ridiculous level of abuse from the Villa fans daily.
-
I think they know Bruce is a coward and will turn on them a bit when we're bottom of the league in a few weeks and he's getting all the abuse.
-
Don't think he has much choice.

So many frauds in the YT fitness scene. Greg Doucette is good because he's a pro, honest with what he takes and pretty much knows the whole industry inside out. Has a few videos on the Bayern players IIRC. He thinks Adama is natural though, just a generic freak who follows a really intensive resistance program rather than traditional free weights.

Ukrain blaming frogs keeping them up all night when they got hammered by Spain.

Ronaldo doesn't seem the type to not want to play to be honest. Chisea was also on the bench. Could just be bollocks.
-
Reports are saying he's on 200k a week Ability is definitely there though, Everton fans rave about him in the way we did about HBA. He's just costing them a fortune and they need to cash in on someone. He's probably not that arsed now Ancelotti left either.

Chelsea with Lukaku will challenge for sure.

Looks like they are targeting young players and taking a more long term approach now. Short term I can't see much improvement mind. I'm not convinced by Arteta though, initially looked like he had made them a stronger unit and defensively much more organised but alot of that has gone out of the window. Still look weak and soft and abit boring with no cutting edge in attack. White may be a good defender but he's not what they needed imo, or at least they need someone very physically dominant alongside him like a Koulibaly type. It's hard to sell a longer term approach to fans when there's no noticeable signs of improvement or philosophy being instilled. And after spending £130m there's only going to be more pressure on him now. Rafa would have been great for them.
-
He reminds me a bit of a supply teacher you'd get in school. Won't really teach you anything, will try and be pally with you and let everyone just muck around. Probably is popular with a lot of the players especially after coming in after someone as intense and demanding as Rafa.
