  1. Think there's a lot of hyperbole about the Everton situation too, they're basically just on a bad run of form. They had Ancelotti and one of the best starting 11s in the league last season, I don't see that as the owners ruining the club and the sport, like Not going to lie I'd not stop laughing for a week if they go down. Football is about petty hatreds and rivalries.
  2. Their last two managerial appointments have been Ancelotti and Rafa as well. The latter was a bit misguided giving the Liverpool connection but they've definitely not lacked ambition. Whilst they've wasted money they brought in a fair bit of quality as well. Having your most expensive signing unable to play for noncing hasn't helped, like.
  3. Romano has stuck to his story hasn't he? Basically saying there's finer details still to sort out? Fits with Lyon saying there's no full agreement in place at the moment. This one should go through imo.
  4. Brassell goes to a fair few of our games and is usually spot on with Ligue 1 players so that's really encouraging.
  5. Galetti claiming Milan have accepted 15m for Kessie from Spurs in the tweet below that. He'd be perfect for us.
  6. Aye . The real reason is a lot more the type of thing you'd expect from Shelvey. It is just a bit of banter, to be fair, between me and my brother," Shelvey explained. "My brother wears glasses and my whole family wears glasses. "I am the only one in the family who doesn't wear glasses so I have always just put my hands, my thumb and my second finger to my eyes, and take the Mickey out of them.

    Joe Willock

Turned it around second half but in the first 30 minutes there was a few occasions he was so poor in possession and defensively just let players bomb past him as he casually strolled back. We could really do with him coming good again so hopefully this gives him a big confidence boost.
  8. Leeds keeper is shocking. Always looks liable to throw one in.
  9. Think we'd be better of with Prince Andrew up top, at least he has some predatory instincts.
  10. Everton could easily get dragged into the relegation fight if we beat them next game.
  11. Norwhich have Wolves, City and Liverpool in their next 4 games. It's a good result for us. Watford pulling away was the danger.
  12. We are awful defensively and Norwhich barely tested us with a man advantage all game. That red card and Pukki wonder goal will haunt me for a while if we go down.
  13. Anything but a Watford win.

    Jesse Lingard

Might be daft but I think he could have the biggest impact out of all the potential signings. We desperately lack a goal threat and someone to link the midfield and attack.
  15. We need wins really. It took Rafa two months to get a win last time he came with a much better side. We don't really have time to appoint someone who starts slow and takes a while to implement his ideas.
  16. Worst form out of any of the 92 english league sides since the end of October iirc. It's mad that so many think the answer to our problems is to replace Howe with someone doing worse than him with a better side. All this stuff about we'd be guaranteed to have a proper gameplan and be hard to beat etc. Has nobody watched Everton this season? It genuinely looks like he's trying to relegate them, the tactics and team selections have been woeful.
  17. It's annoying the other teams around us being just as shit so there's always that bit of hope. We really shouldn't be a win away from getting out of the bottom 3 with only one win so far this season
  18. Looks like he's aged about 10 years in the last month I'm struggling to see what type of identity we are supposed to have. We look a bit more organised but the games still hinge on how much Maxi can do on his own.
  19. With Jonjo and Longstaff in midfield the last thing we needed was another immobile lump.
  20. He's got a much better Everton side in the relegation fight at the minute.
  21. We look hopeless when a side sits back like this. Move the ball so slow and so many backwards passes. Really need a CM comfortable on the ball and with a bit of pace and drive.
  22. Suprised so many think Burnely will improve after this. If we're struggling to bring a striker in how are they going to fair any better?
  23. It's a bit uninspiring but probably a sensible transfer in our position. Experienced target man who's pretty much always scored goals in the league and significantly weakens a direct rival.
  24. Carr is underrated if anything. The players he brought in at the prices he did was kind of ridiculous. And these often weren't the top targets. If we had a competent manager and an owner with ambition we could have been a real force.
