Think Bayern are below the elite teams now tbh, it's been like 5 years and they still haven't moved on from Ribery and Robben. I feel like they have bought quite poorly in recent seasons and it's brought them behind the likes of PSG and whatever else you think are legitimate contenders. Muller stopped scoring aswell. Is like 2 goals in 20 games or something? Sharp decline Most players have regressed under Ancelotti. I can see why so many Bayern fans are sick of him, poor football and tactics and doesn't look like improving any time soon. That side they had out tonight was so poor, really slow in attack and defence compared to the other top sides. PSG front 3 compared to theirs was ridiculous. I think any of the English teams would beat them in the knockout rounds this year.

Emery confirms Cavani will remain first choice on pens

It shouldn't be as funny as it is

The way he uses his first touch to get away from opponents reminds me a lot of Kroos.

Everton are bobbins. Such a poorly assembled side for how much they've spent.

He should/could have realised the keeper has gotten to the ball first, it's at head height, and that a Liu Kang flying kick isn't going to achieve anything positive. As soon as he realised that he could/should have simply jumped for the ball hoping for a block or just to put the keeper off. Some players jump and turn their backs mid air for example. It's actually quite common to have this situation where it's a 55:45 ball (as opposed to 50:50) and the player on the 45 end will change their attempt to get to the ball first instinctively, especially if it's a keeper who is favourite. Absolutely no way is trying to get a foot on the ball at that height reasonable or acceptable, let alone when he's running in at that speed and jumping off the ground. What he did is the exact equivalent of jumping in studs up with 2 feet aiming for a ball that's on the ground but which the opposition player has gotten to first. That type of challenge is deemed a highly dangerous potential leg breaker, an instant red card, with zero consideration of notions of intent or "what else he could do if he wants to get the ball". Players are simply expected to know not to do something dangerous when challenging for a ball. It's hardly unreasonable. A two footed challenge like that is a foul regardless of winning the ball or not though Mane could have won the ball and would have been left with an open goal. Ibra has scored loads of goals where he's used his foot challenging against a head, as long as you get it right it's not a foul. Mane is rapid as fuck and would have beaten a lot of other keepers to that ball, it obviously looks worse on replays but in real time I think he was right to go for it and it was just unfortunate how it played out.

Wouldn't mind a 7.45 kick off, it's the early afternoon games that are a pain in the arse.

We would never have left Sturridge go this season and his wages is around 150k .Klopp and Sturridge (who stated he didn't want to move) both made it clear every early in the window. Don't think Sturridge was a realistic target for any club this season. So doubt it's true. It's obviously not true. Dzeko just finished top scorer in Italy and they ran Juve really close for the title. I don't think there's ever been a case of a promoted team signing a 40 goal season striker from one of the biggest clubs in Europe If you're going to lie at least make up names that are somewhat realistic.

7m offer accepted from West Brom for Gibbs.

If the reports are true he wasn't happy Real were only going to pay him 120k a week. He's came across really badly this window either way for a player that's had one good season.

His free kicks used to be so overpowered on the old ISS/PES games

Neymar taking the piss.

Lascelles and Ritchie were the best players on the pitch today, and Merino was probably the worst (alongside Atus and Manquillo I'll give you that). How many times did Merino give the ball away either by poor control or a poor pass (including times when his pass put another player under pressure, or was behind the player forcing them to check their run). I'm not saying he's s****, he clearly needs more time to settle and as a unit we were poor today. You sure you were watching the right game?

If we go a goal down we are fucked, can't see us breaking many teams down in this league.

Had the worst save % in Serie A last season too IIRC.
