  1. Lack of cutting edge to how they take chances because they get so many in the league? Lewandowski in particular has been bobbins in all the big games in Champions League for a while now. Don’t know how he’s been playing in the league but looks way off the pace and uninterested.
  2. Strange game. Got the feel of a pre season friendly about it. Lack of intensity and a fair few errors and careless plays from both sides.
  3. Bringing Danny Ings on just to take the piss.
  4. Was class all game. Lovely take for his goal too. Clearly a fairly switched on kid too going there, a brave manager would take him to the WC. I really hope Sancho has set the example for the rest of the English youngsters out there - there's too many that waste their careers in U23 football or poor loans in the lower leagues - go out of your comfort zone and take a chance. All credit to Sancho - hope he goes on to have a successful career. I remember getting stick on here for saying that Oliver Burke was a moron for leaving Leipzig for West Brom, so don't hold your breath. Can’t knock the lad for wanting to play football. He lost all his confidence and was sat on the bench in Germany. He give it a shot moving abroad and it didn’t really work out, nothing wrong with that. The ā€˜Scottish Messi’ still hasn’t been capped and barely played a game for Sporting in 4 years since he moved there either whilst his mate has became a starter for Liverpool about to play in the semis of the Champions League. I agree that it’s good too see Brits moving away but ultimately any move at the age is still a risk wherever you go.
  5. He was getting death threats for finishing in the top 4 ffs Cant believe people are comparing him to Pardew and the situation here. Wenger showed great loyalty to Arsenal, kept them in the champions league every year during the transitional period where they moved stadiums and he was really limited with his spending compared to the teams he was expected to compete against. Even last season he was prepared to go out on a high after winning the FA cup but stayed on because there was no proper plan in place. He’s always wanted the best for the club at times to the detriment of his own reputation. Yes, he’s not delivered recently and should have been gone already but in no way does he deserve the humiliation and level of abuse he’s received. I don’t know, there must be a middle ground where you can want the manager gone but be respectful about it.
  6. Jesus, US talk shows really are shit aren’t they? Audience cheering and applauding every response and Kimmel has always been terrible in every interview I’ve seen with him.
  7. ''Pardew was a decent guy but people hated him for whatever reason' ''Under him we finished 5th. It's not happened previously and it won't happen since'' ''Problem with the transfer policy, 5 years ago was we were buying foreigners who were nowhere near the same level of Peter Ramage and Steven Taylor''
  8. I don't get the Juventus love-in tbh. I wanted them to win just for something different, but if it had been one of the big English clubs, or a Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich that did what they did 12-13 years or so ago, I doubt they would be admired the same way. Im guessing it’s more because it’s Madrid as the most vocal against the decision are the Barca fanboys. Must be killing them that Messi has been invisible at this stage in the competition for 3 years in a row now whereas Madrid will progress as favourites again.
  9. Dzeko was immense, won and held up pretty much everything that was played up to him.
  10. Roma deserved this, Barca have been shocking.
  11. Rona game should be an interesting last 30.
  12. On my stream the commentary acknowledged it wasn’t offside but are claiming it was disallowed for a foul on the keeper
  13. Ah man that’s so embarrassing
  14. It’s probably not wise for her to start calling random nutters off the internet who’ve tracked down her private address and discuss details of a 300m takeover of a football club.
  15. I know prices are mental but we will not get Ā£30m for Mitro ffs. Bought him for Ā£13 million and his value has not exactly decreased. I concur, but we will not get Ā£30m for Mitro. There is literally no chance, I'm sorry. Vehemently disagree given that we got Ā£35 million for Carroll before prices even began to get as ridiculous as today. Assuming he does well at the WC his price would increase even more. The only reason we wouldn't be able to get Ā£30m for him under those circumstances would be the incompetence of our club negotiating with other clubs, which to be fair, is very possible. I'll bet you Ā£100 right now Mitro doesn't go for more than Ā£30m. Or a tenner. Whatever you want but it's not happening. Ā£100 it is Void if he stays, naturally. It's a bet then! Probably the easiest Ā£100 you’ll ever make
  16. Easily one of the best individual displays (and probably my favourite) I've ever seen, that. 34 years old all the pressure on him and he effortlessly made the Brazilian side look like Sunday league players.
  17. Pogba has the talent to be world class but it would be daft to put him in that bracket as things stand and I don’t think it’s purely down to Mou. I’ve seen him play from awful to average countless times for France and Juve in some of their big games. Juve was perfect for him because he played in the most dominant team in the league, had Pirlo dictating play from deep with Vidal as a box to box covering every blade of grass and then the most solid defence in Europe behind him. He didn’t really have any defensive responsibility and could play coming in from that left of a midfield 3 with total freedom. Mou is obviously not playing to his strengths or getting the best out of him but I think he has to take a fair share of the blame for his own performances too. A ā€˜world class’ midfielder shouldn’t be a liability or look so lost just because he’s playing in a two instead of a three.
  18. I think a lot of casual fans simply don’t recognise what makes Ronaldo so good. His off the ball movement, anticipation/awareness and ability to create and find space in the box is the best I’ve ever seen from a forward. People actually use he scores so many ā€˜tap ins’ as a negative against him.
  19. Ridiculous how many people wrote Real Madrid off for this tie.
  20. Christ. 1 officer confrmed dead.
  21. Jaqen

    Kieron Dyer

Must have had a hell of a tough paper round. I thought he was about 40
  22. Really fancy Madrid tonight, they are a different animal in the knockout rounds of this competition.
  23. Refused to train then demands respect
