Um Well, there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is Tonali will be leaving and joining Newcastle. On a more positive note, the good news is we are going for Christian Pulisic. So every cloud. You’re still thinking about the bad news aren't you?

Think this gives a decent reflection of what he's about rather than a highlights package made over a season.
-
He'll be sat in Francescas tomorrow having a celebratory half pasta half pizza.

£50m seems about right to me. Barella would go for more as he's more established and complete as a player. Tonali has tonnes of potential but definitely less guaranteed to succeed outside of Italy I'd say.

I do doubt how many average NUFC fans have watched enough Hungary and Red Bull games mind to make an accurate judgement on who'd be better. Even when there was massive outrage for Southgate not playing Sancho for England it was obvious most fans had no idea even what sort of player he was.

We paid £45m for Gordon from Everton's bench. £50m for someone in their prime and who's consistently been one of the best attacking midfielders in the league for years isn't outrageous, like. Obviously different circumstances just don't think we were ever going to get him as cheap as some hope.

Yeah Chelsea made some terrible signings on crazy wages that they'd have struggled to give away. The fact that they are getting all the wages shifted and big fees for some of them is a bit annoying.

He's better of playing in the Championship? We haven't even bid for him this year and people are already getting annoyed that he's turned us down as he has no ambition and wants the London lifestyle. The windows barely opened and players are away on international duty. It's going to be a long summer on here I think.

Met Police statement: >On Thursday, September 23, 2021, the Met received a crime report regarding an historic rape allegation. >On Monday, June 12, a man was interviewed under caution at a police station.’ >The allegation goes back quite a few years when the complainant met the suspect after she applied for a job at a place he was involved with. >She was a teenage girl at the time and is now a mature woman.

Yeah I don't think it's a manager either based on the article.

Easier to say when it's not my donation but ultimately the money has gone to a good cause. Even as part of a team it's a hell of an effort for a 70 year old with no prior experience for that sort of thing. It's a lot harder than doing the equivalent distance in a swimming pool.

You'd think he'd been out on a hunting trip poaching tigers by some of the reactions

Even as bad as they were last season they had attacking numbers for a top half finish still. Their CMs turning to shite and a defence and keeper that looked like they were on the take all year is the main reason they went down. If Maddison and Barnes were such defensive liabilities they wouldn't had all the success they had with them in other seasons like you mentioned. Maddison would be a brilliant signing and someone who'd turn a fair few of those draws last season's into wins imo.

He's slow and poor on the ball. We made it work but it was never going to be a long term solution. I don't think defensively we'd get miles stronger replacing him but we definitely would give team a lot more to think about when defending against us and be more balanced. Think it would do Trippier some good as well not having to be the one fullback bombing up and down the wing constantly.

Probably already mentioned but it's 20% off if you buy a giftcard on their site.

Walker is definitely better but against Malta you're better off with someone with more quality on the ball.

For 70m Havertz must be in their starting plans. Can only assume it's in some sort of false 9 role? Doenst make sense as they already have Jesus who can link things together really nicely and has shown more in this league. Even Lukaku from Chelsea would be a better option I reckon.

Di Maria being slow is one of the worst takes I've read on here.
-
Nah I get that, I don't even think it's a North East issue it's just most top Italian players don't like moving outside the league. Someone is probably going to list loads of examples now but there can't be many of their superstars who've moved out of that league in their prime in the last twenty years or so? PSG have had a few but there can't have been that many.
-
It clearly is a factor though for some. It's one of the main reasons we got Trippier really as he wanted to move back over here and took a paycut. Players are still humans with families and other people to consider, moving to a different league, with a different language and culture is always going to be somewhat of a challenge and something they will think about. There's English players who won't even move north of London ffs

Didn't Pep say Phillips was overweight and not in a condition to even train never mind play after the world cup?

If everyone on here knows the brief to journalists isn't our actual budget I'm fairly certain most clubs will do too.
