I'm enjoying every game, except when we play then it's just total disinterest and non surprise at how bad we are.
-
Aye they were very good to be fair, Pogba has been poor mind. I can't believe how careless he can be with his passing. He does produce some lovely play at times too, but my goodness he takes risks with his passing in some really inappropriate parts of the pitch. Just needs to be more far more sensible. Yep, i wouldn't play him that deep, he really does give you nightmares.
-
He's decent, we just need to give him time but he's playing for a crap team managed by Sloth Fratelli.

Aye but in the main everyone was on their side, we're up against most of the press, pundits and Sky, it's not the same really, ours isn't really a fair fight.

I don't know. Has he? Don't know, its why i asked, what do you think after today ?

Almiron was one of Rafa's actual picks. So the narrative on him will shift between "See, we did back Rafa with a record signing of a great, young star" and "Look at this chancer from the MLS Rafa wasted all that money on" where appropriate. And that's the thing on here Almiron was Rafa's so is beyond reproach. Rafa didn't want Joelinton so he is not given any slack. It's almost the HBA love in all over again Almiron was great under Rafa and looks lost under Bruce. There's a clue somewhere as to who is to blame for that. Go on, reach for it. You can do it Luke. Ah, I get it now. Worker likes his boss so puts a shift in. Worker doesn't like new boss so takes his pay and phones it in. Sounds like he needs to give himself a shake and roll his sleeves up. Thanks for pointing that out. Well for starters Almiron still worked hard, so that theory is balls.

We're the worst team in the league, i can't see us finishing above anyone.
-
Utterly woeful, our defending is pathetic.
-
Sterling and Kane 2 shots on target each 9/1 on Sky Bet.
-
You imply Bruce actually has a system. How very dare you, i did no such thing
-
Clearly this set of players aren't comfortable in this system under Bruce, he needs to change it. For people who give a fuck like
-
We have no defensive shape, gaps everywhere.
-
We'll make their defence look as solid as a rock, 2-0 Norwich.
-
Ashley, as ever, will be happy to gamble on just scraping by. His ignorance will be in assuming that we'll come straight back up. I just can't see that happening this time of we do go down. Aye, i reckon next season if we do go down is when fat boys luck runs out.

Totally agree on this, once Brewcie gets his feet firmly under the table and he's binned the fancy dan foreign muck for English blood and thunder and we're still getting whacked at the bottom of the table opinions will change. However that will just lead the press to confirm we're deluded and fickle like they've always said, double edged sword I'm afraid. No offense lads but that stuff is just pathetic horseshit, aye he's crap but his signing in his past jobs are from all over the world, he's many things but not what you're inferring there like. Exactly. He doesn't care if you're black, brown, yellow (orientals make very good workers). And he's signed El-Mohammady seven times. Ffs guys I wasn't suggesting he was racist or anything like that, I was having a dig at his dinosaur "tactics" and inability to deal with flair much like most other PFMs who prefer good old blood and thunder, sliding tackles and big lumping strikers to punt it to, give me some credit. Hell no boy, this is the internet

I wanted us to lose games when Pardew was winless in eight. Usually when a manager has a run like that, they’re sacked. But I don’t want us to lose games now. I’d rather we just stay in the Prem. That way I can watch us on TV every week. Guess I’m not so different from those who want to go to the stadium and “get away from their wife”. I appreciate it'd be tough if overseas fans can't get to see championship games but: being in the premier League = Ashley never leaves So be it. Least we get to sign players like ASM. He didn’t sell when we were in the Champo anyway. It absolutely hurts either way. Last year when we had secured survival and were just playing games to get a higher spot absolutely sucked. Best I can hope for is for this team to really gel. Joelinton’s price tag means he’ll be here for a while. We’re resigned to losing Longstaff next year but 70 mil to build a new midfield sounds pretty decent. Foundations are there to break into the top 10... in about three years. The thing is, the foundations aren't there to break (and stay) in the top 10. Buy em and sell em on, with no thought for building a coherent team for the future, buying into a managers vision and creating a team has been a proven recipe for failure. It worked out for a season, when Graham Carr pulled out a few aces and we had a quality team. Soon enough though, with our incompetent manager and wantaway players that had been promised as using the club as a stepping stone things fell apart. The very best we can hope for is a flukey season where everything comes together and even then, he was spending more. The parallels between this season and the season we last went down are absolutely remarkable. A below par, proven failure as a manager. A young unproven striker. An erratic winger. The manager having little input on players. How can Bruce even begin to create a team if we're signing players based solely on resale value. You end up with square pegs for round holes. Even this season is totally reliant on Jolelinton. Where are the goals coming from? I meant they might gel and they might be alright but there's more chance this season will end up in relegation. I think we'll know a lot more after the weekend. Which shows just how thick they are, Einstein's perfect example of insanity.

Martinez at Atlanta United, he's good like, great header just now.
-
Is he the shaping the team though considering most of the signings aren't his though? Oh i know, he'll just have to mould what he's got, i don't like that policy, not that i would want him spending it either though. I was just saying, all we can do is watch it all unfold, he needs time, the new players need time. The same as if we had been took over and had a new decent manager, just looking at the reality of the situation, not endorsing it like. Head coach, he needs to coach brilliance into his players and accept players selected by a chairman with no football experience and scouts that have never played at a decent level or coached, they may see talent but it's just FIFA scouting if they don't understand what works in this league That happens in a lot of leagues though, it's not something i agree with like. It can work if you have really good scouts and then pick a talented manager. I don't know any other club which actively looks for washed up cretins to be head coach. Aye it's ridiculous, the most important man at the club has to be the manager, we have Steve Bruce
-
Seems to me that you are on a bit of a rant and rave right now. He's not wrong though, QM. Bruce could have a cup of tea and there'd be 7 pages of vitriol saying he should have had a coffee. It's just way over the top. No, he deserves every bit of s*** he gets, he wasn't forced to take the job, and s*** on his former club in the process. The bloke is a tit aswell as a s*** manager, f*** him. Thought you didn't care? Doesn't care but has posted 20 times in the match thread Guys, pushing this argument just makes you look stupid. Obviously nobody has literally no feelings about Newcastle. Some of us have just had to switch off because we can’t take the infinite futility and pain of talking about Newcastle like it’s still a normal football club . Use your heads a bit. No it doesn't. Several posters have said repeatedly, that they are done with the club, but they post consistently in the match thread, and some are celebrating when we get beat. Hypocrite central. It's so clearly manufactured in those guys who come on writing stuff like "glad we lost, howay Norwich next week" etc. Cringey stuff. Why would I want us to win. I want us to sink until that fat parasite, the thumb and brewce f*** off. 29 years a season ticket holder and I didn't give it up lightly. Lee Charley and "scouting" team wanted Joe Linton and Rafa didn't, Charley said they thought it was in best interest of club. How do they know more than a top manager. There is only one way to make them leave. Anyone going to the match is part of the problem, I only cancelled this season and maybe should have before but I now want us to become something I can support again and for me that's getting rid of Ashley and the rest and developing the building blocks to help us succeed and not setting a ceiling of just staying up. I think you're right and I'm with you on this, but can one not want us to win in the hope we get sold eventually (i know if do win it means that won't happen). People just can't connect the means to whatever end, i understand why like. I know what you are saying, it seems weird and I love this club, never wanted us to sink like the scum (who hilariously look like they will get 3 seasons at that level) but this man needs to leave and I fear that's the only way. I don't have anything against the players and hope they have cracking careers away from here but I want us to sink at moment, it's not about champions League, top of the league or cups for me. It's about the soul ripped from the club in last 12 years. People went today and couldn't generate an atmosphere. Go back to Robson, Keegan, Keegan second time etc and it was electric, now it's sheep rocking up and just booing if not quite right, they are sheep. My brother in law renewed to support the players ffs I totally get it, it's a bizarre situation to find oneself in. The one thing we all obviously agree on is Ashley has to go, especially for what you said about the soul being ripped out of the club. For no reason whatsoever i actually think he'll be gone after this season, no idea why just a dumb feeling.
