I always read them, i love a HTT post for all the teasing he gets, his come from the heart and i tend to agree 60% of the time, every time.

That might have worked at Chelsea, but he is at a club where losing any game isn’t acceptable. The poor start to the season will be rocking the foundations inside of the dressing room, OT and more critically the boardroom. The pressure is on the players regardless, you can see it in their body language and all the Mourinho media games won’t make that disappear, only he can by sending out a team that wins games and in a certain style. Man Utd essentially are similar to us under Rafa in how they look at the opposition, approach the game and look to pick up points. It’s not the Man Utd way and is not the Jose way to do the opposite though, they are a bad fit for each other in terms of the players and the football expected of that club. It will only end one way... I simply did not get the praise they were getting for how they played in the first half by the way, it was an awful game with both sides unable to string a few pass together. Yes it was fast paced and end to end, but there was no quality on show and it was a boring and scrappy game. Maybe Man Utd have been that bad under Jose just a fast paced end to end game is considered exciting. I thought here we had two of the so-called best teams in the country and it could have been a rerun of our game against Cardiff that’s how boring it was and lacking in real quality. The likes of Sky though try and draw drama from even the mundane and everything seems over the top. Lukaku’s miss being miss of the year, the Brazilian’s second goal for Spurs a world-class finish with him compared to Henry and so on and so on. Then the print and social media take over the debate once the transmission has ended, stringing it out for days and days. Anything to extract drama and create a buzz or debate from a game that was boring between two teams who personally bore the tits of me, even though I rate Spurs as a good all-round team. Even the narrative changes, one week Spurs by not spending have shot thesmelves in the foot and the next after 3 wins on the bonce it’s because by not spending they have an unsettled together squad or because they believe in themselves. Wolves centre midfield was Neves and Moutinho, our was Diame and Ki, Wolves had better players in those positions, far better in fact and their distribution to their wide players in Costa and Jota to break in behind Man City's full backs, was a million times better than ours trying to do the same against Chelsea. And Wolves still only had 29% possession, did they care about that as they walked away with a point, did they fuck. They used the ball better than we did when they had it, simple as that, and they only scored from a set piece fwiw.

Aye i commented during the game how Ritchie and Murphy at the time had no awareness of players around them and kept losing the ball, chuck in Ki and Mo playing sloppy balls as well. Rafa himself said after the game we had to keep the ball better, it wasn't a let them have it back as soon as we get it thing, just poor play from us in possession a fair bit. Diame has not started the season well and I hope he's not going back to his old ways. Aye. i can see a Ki/Shelvey pairing as we go on if Mo carries on the way he is. He's still getting stuck in but his use of the ball is so poor, mind you he's not alone in that. You're right but I don't see Ki as the answer either to be honest - can't complain on a free transfer but he is just a meh signing really - it's where we are at though. They have all bought into the Big 6 clubs idea- all their flagship shows are about how each of them get on/ and the big games against each other- It suits them fine to have 14 none ambitious also rans, to turn up and get howked by the BIG 6 for theirs and their audiences entertainment. edit- stupid Newcastle fans getting ideas of ambition, and their big crowds, not needed in this cosy arrangement. Exactly, Rafa is like a class chess player, he thinks 3 moves ahead and yet people like Crumpy seems to think he isn't world class despite it staring them in the face.

Most of that was in non threatening areas and once again Dubs had very little to do, possession like most stats don't always tell the whole story. I don't disagree in general, but that is spectacularly low for a home team. MOTD just had a stat that it's our lowest in the last 15 years, home or away. 2nd and 3rd were the Man City games last season. It's a means to an end, and if that end means we finish 17th or higher i don't care. Say Rafa had spent £60m then i would be not so care free with it. But in scrapping around for players and our dearest signing being £9.5m, well it is what it is.

I've been saying that, it's not really a conspiracy against us it's the bias refereeing towards the big few, we're not the only club to suffer that. We do however seem to get the rough end of a lot of decisions, seems like more because we see our own in more detail. I would say other fans of other clubs think the same.
