  1. You're correct, Burn's reaction is that of the modern player knowing the merest of touches is normally a penalty. It wasn't one, but pathetic refereeing and the bullshit, a slight touch is enough has become the norm. That's where we are in modern football, break neck speed to non contact.
  2. I'd go 4-4-1-1, but Eddie won't do it. I fear sticking to his 4-3-3 will cost him the job, the way we're playing there can be no other end really. We don't look like playing our way through the poor form, so changing things up is worth it, but Eddie is not showing he's not willing to do that.
  3. I fear you're right unfortunately.
  4. I'm not one for turning on Eddie, but this has to stop soon or he'll be a goner. We need to change the 4-3-3 imo, we aren't creative enough, we aren't giving our forwards players anything to work with. It doesn't have to be too much, but enough to create more chances. This away form is awful, and is just continuing, and we're being beat by teams around and below us now. Alarms bells should be ringing.
  5. We've stopping doing what we were the best at, Just what Sunderland did yesterday. We don't press, we don't hassle teams. We play like we think we're better than the opposition. And, the one thing you have to match is the other teams work rate, and we're not doing it at all.
  6. Should have subbed Burn, but there's no contact for the penalty, it's just a dive. Ridiculous all round.
  7. Wolves player pushed over and headbutts Chalobah's goolies, foul to Chelsea obviously Christ our refs are ridiculously atrocious.
  8. The diving that Delap does, should change sport really
  9. Sunderland are us from our first full season under Eddie, horrible to play against and hard to beat, fair play like.
  10. I don't usually go that high, but seemed a decent one, with the £20 back if as free bets if it failed.
  11. Gameweek 11 Spurs 2-2 Man United Everton 2-1 Fulham West Ham 1-1 Burnley Sunderland 1-3 Arsenal Chelsea 2-0 Wolves Villa 2-1 Bournemouth Brentford 1-2 Newcastle Palace 2-2 Brighton Forest 2-1 Leeds Man City 3-1 Liverpool
  12. Obvious he's gone with what he sees as his strongest team, i believe this is probably the easiest fixture left, so win this and we're a good spot.
  13. Dunno about anyone else but I'm sick of wingers on the opposite side to their favoured foot. Inverted bollocks and all that. If you're a centre forward who wants crosses you ain't getting them players who cut back, especially in Gordon's case as he keep cutting in into trouble. Now Murphy, is a proper cross it winger, and it's no surprise we score more with him in the team. And one of our best headed goals was Gordon on the right crossing first time on his right foot, to Isak against Arsenal. I know it's to encourage overlapping full backs, but if those full backs are Dan Burn and Emil Krafth, you probably need to adjust if Tino and Hall are unavailable. I'm just moaning, i just like seeing an old fashioned goal now and again, instead of cut back, pass inside, back out side, back inside, meh meh meh, maybe a shot on goal.
  14. This is very exact, our play is very full back orientated to bringing the ball out, and the lack of, Tino, Hall and Tripps killed us. It really is a vital part of the 4-3-3 system Eddie plays.
  15. I should have said, i can see who to drop, not sure Eddie does though.
  16. Game in the Champions League in the week, if we win that we've put ourselves in a good position to get through. I suppose the thinking is throw Osula on now, so Nick can play midweek, shame we don't have Wissa, would have made the rotation so much easier.
  17. Elanga so far aye, but i thought Ramsey brought energy and carried the ball OK. He needs to start, but it's his fitness that has to stay up, i think he's very good but i can't see who Eddie drops for him.
  18. Too many flat poor performances, Eddie deserves time to sort things out, but i feel that requires a tweak to the system, something he's not shown he prepared to do (other than 5-2-3, which we never play well using) up to this point.
  19. Appalling performance. Things in the league have to change soon, this one was Tottenham levels of terrible today.
  20. 3 subs, not surprising, but strangely is for Eddie.
  21. Aye, but he's so wasteful in his passing, and that first touch, Christ it can been like he's wearing wellies. Honestly that's something i notice a lot with him and some others, woeful first touches.

    Nick Pope

He's having that shocker game he has every 5 games or so. As much i love Pope that kills momentum if the team have been playing well, not that you can put it all on him today, he's not exactly helping by playing like a moose.
  23. Well if cutting inside and getting tackled every single time is looking good, you would be right.
