Absolutely, however that's modern football. And, as I've said before some of our fans are turning into the entitled shite that follow the scummy six. They expect success, despite the fact we have rules intended to stop us challenging. Now, the downfall is, and i say this as a massive Eddie fan. The team and he, have given the entitled idiots, and a lot of fair minded, and big Eddie fans a lot to be worried about, and to criticise. He does deserve next season, any other point of view is mental imo. If he doesn't evolve and the team continues as it has at times this season, then he will be gone. The thing i tell myself, Oh, 5 to 10 years ago. If you said, you'll make the semi-final of the League Cup, qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, make the 5th round of the FA Cup, and with a good run make a decent fist of finishing in the top 10. And, if you told me that was a poor season and the manager should be sacked, i would have kicked you in the bollocks and told you to stop being a toss rocket. Times have a changed somewhat.

De Zerbi, decent appointment until he falls out with the board and leaves inside two to three years.
-
I really hope the board backs him, buys younger up and coming players, we have a great next season, and he shoves it right up the collective shitpipes of his critics.
-
Aye, and it has to change or we'll never have a decent filled squad.
-
Christ that was boring, and utter shite.
-
Aye, below what you really want because we can't afford the wages. We need make smarter signings, like Brighton, Brentford, and Sunderland have done.
-
This ain't good, but this squad is so lacking in quality, they need a proper overhaul and to back him with some decent players. This squad is so stale, adding players in one go like we did in the summer is pointless to some extent, you need to add players constantly to freshen the squad all the time.
-
That's pathetic, pathetic all round, creativity, defending, attacking. Utterly pathetic.
-
We lack so much quality, it's so poor at times.
-
Hate it but the right call.
-
We're getting dragged down to their level at times, we just need to be more composed and keep the ball better. And our set pieces are atrocious, try a flick on, or something different. This everyone at the back coming forward is dogshite, and then we leave no one at the back where the ball has gone a couple of times, it's fucking over thought bollocks.
-
It's not the attacking part with Tripps, it's the fact he has fuck ups galore in him, be it misplaced passes, to being out of position, his decision making is mental at times. Hopefully today is one of his good games though, he's still good when he does play well.

Don't often agree with Simon 'Pompus' Jordan, but he said some very sensible stuff today on Eddie and our situation. Simon Jordan has told Newcastle United not even Luis Enrique could do a better job than Eddie Howe in the current circumstances. The Magpies saw their Champions League hopes come to an end on Wednesday night when they were hammered by Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou. Newcastle arrived in Barcelona with high hopes of pulling off a shock after enjoying the better of their last-16 first leg clash at St James’ Park, but only coming away with a 1-1 draw. And although Howe’s side only trailed 3-2 on the night at the break, they were swept away in the second-half as the hosts scored four times without reply. Newcastle host bitter rivals Sunderland in the Tyne-Wear derby at St James' Park on Sunday afternoon, but their hopes of securing a top five finish appear slim. But former Crystal Palace owner Jordan believes there are a number of problems that continue to hold the club back, and no one, with the tools currently available, can do a better job than Howe. He told talkSPORT: "The challenge for them is: How do Newcastle United square this circle of having the idea of having the world's richest owners? Having this marvellous fanbase that are - not demanding success - but wanting it so much and obviously we saw that last year when they won the League Cup. "And how do they do it? What are they, ninth in the league? Who is in front of them who should not be in front of them on paper, perhaps Aston Villa, perhaps Brentford and Everton? "Other than that, where is the argument, what can Newcastle do? They've got to punch massively above their financial weight to break into the top six, so really and truly what we are talking with Newcastle being ninth in the Premier League, is if they go past Brentford and Everton and finish seventh or sixth, they've done their job. "But they won't have done their job prima facie because they have been successful in getting into the Champions League. "They have got the moniker of having the world's richest owners, but they have got the backdrop...the commercial reality (is) they cannot go pound-for-pound with these boys who are spending £250m every transfer window. "They can't keep their best players, because their best players are going to legacy clubs like Liverpool. So what do they do? The only thing they can do is do something that they should have done and what they should be doing now, which is build a new stadium. Increase the capacity of the stadium, increase the revenues, get some more opportunities to be able to monetise themselves better. "That is the only way Newcastle can achieve anything vaguely resembling what their CEO said about being a dominant force in 2030. That is it, end of discussion. "You can bring in Luis Enrique if you want, you can bring in the reputed best managers in European football. Unless they are given the tools to work with, they are not going to do anything better than Eddie Howe is doing."

Most of those are the scummy six, so bigger squads, more wages from years of extra advantage. Cunts basically.
-
Aye the result was awful in the end, but I'm still so proud of our lads, for three quarters of the tie we were better than them, but their class and experienced told in the end, obviously.
-
Just life in general mate really, I've always learnt more from adversity than anything else. You would think Eddie can look at this and learn from it. Not just in the result, the preparation, the selection, the overall of it. The club must learn that is a squad game, you can't have massive holes in your squad if you want to compete at this level. Hard as that is with the bent rules making it so difficult for us to catch up.
-
You don't think it had anything to do with them coming out and tactically changing to exploit the middle ? Set by a much more experienced manager at this level, he's schooled Eddie this half. Eddie will gain so much from this, as will the players despite the horrific scoreline.
-
Well that sums it all up, gifted another goal pathetically.
-
What you think he said lets collapse, fucking idiotic comment mate.
-
Yet another poor goal. Killed ourselves.
-
Given them 5 goals tonight, you don't beat a non league team doing that, let alone Barcelona.
-
Because he's only just back from injury, managing his time like.
-
We really should, because that was pathetic defending, it's thick as pig shit stuff.
-
That's pathetic defending, it's hard enough without gifting them goals.
