Ah sorry mate I didn't see that, although maybe it was you as to why I mentioned it
-
I wouldn't have thought so

I read somewhere the striker from Europe could be Mohamed Bayo from Claremont. Probably just a name thrown out there, interesting player though.

Ritchie was a fill in for injuries, and then the genius that is Steve Bruce thought keeping him there instead of a fit Lewis was sensible. Still think Ritchie will go mind, but not because of Targett coming in.

Love that, shows interest in everything. I know it's early doors but we seem to have such nice people in charge of us, Mandy and Mehrdad i mean as the face of it.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60190646 Feckin hell, we've signed a superstar

Yeah i guess that's fair, but 3rd, it's not as if they we're down the league.

3rd in the league and they sacked him, superb. They have mental owners
-
You put it how I wanted to, thank you.

I can only speak from what I saw, and the help we tried to give. You watched the help either ignored, even as you said, told to mind your own business. There's so much more you're not seeing, so much more you don't know. Until it's out in the open, and bam, how was that happening and why didn't we stop it. Honestly the guilt you hold yourself to is unreal, it tears everything apart.

I think my last post was kinda put wrong with the 99% thing. I'm speaking from a limited knowledge pov from personal experience. I think I've generalised a tad too much, hope everyone gets what I meant.

Daft as it sounds, abuse victims still love their abuser. They still see good in that person, still hope to change them, 99% of the time the abuser is good and does genuinely love their victim. Yes that's mental, but you have to have suffered it to know about why such things are never black and white. It's never simple. Some don't see a way out and will stay as they think it's all they have, no matter the abuse they receive. Walking away as simple as it sounds, is the least simple thing do a lot of time.

My Brother to our utter shame has physically, mentally and verbally abused his wife for more than 15 years, she finally left him this past month. Both are alcoholics, have lost their children and will never get them back, my sister in law while no saint has put up with being beaten, constantly being put down, being controlled to what she can do, where she can go and who she speaks to. Any fucker who thinks she, this lass or any other lass, and men for that matter stuck in an abusive relationship could have just left, doesn't understand why they couldn't, it's far too simple and every situation is different. Hindsight is wonderful, but nothing should ever be judged in hindsight for peoples actions, it's far too easy to say that.

Doubt it this window for Cody (never know), might have been the plan with Carlos though.

We're a properly run club, we're a properly run club

Yeah after seeing this type of thing up close (domestic violence and bullying, not sexual) there's no way it's an isolated incident. More and more will come out, and i doubt it'll just be this girl either.

It's a defender comfortable on the ball, funnily enough we had another one of those until Bruce came in. It's amazing how Bruce saw the game compared to newer managers, absolutely no awareness of how the game has changed. He got rid of Florian, isolated Schar and went with centre half's who were what he thinks a centre back should be. I think it'll be Burn and Schar, and possibly Schar, Lascelles and Burn in a three. Your two outside CB's being comfortable on the ball and bringing it forward.
-
It's probably what Howe sees in Burn for the system than the individual skills, which aren't exactly astounding. Rather like Graham Potter, 'the whole is greater than the sum of the parts' take on this seems to be the thing.
-
Total coward, no man who loves someone does that to them. A controlling violent bully does. If proven guilty in court, throw away the key, abhorrent scumbag.

Seeing as Everton are down the bottom with us, are Manure going to ask for £12m if Everton stay up ?

I watch football for many reasons, two of the main ones are watching my team (and others) play lovely football, so I've obviously been on a starvation diet for a feck long time where we're concerned. The second main one is to see players like ASM, and he actually plays for us. I get the criticism of him, but team he plays in is feckin awful, under tactics that left it all to ASM to do something special. That's going to change if Eddie gets it right, and I've no doubt we'll see more of ASM being a mint team players as well as individual spark.

Am I right in remembering one of the past windows, that Thumbheed was on holiday a day before the window shut, something along those lines. The past workings were a disgrace, and it was never really picked by the media, just us being unrealistic
-
I am with you on needing better, it's clearly a difficult window to get certain players in. Added to us having money and teams taking the mick on prices, it's been frustrating at times. In a world where there was no Ashley before, I'd say we're having a 7 out of 10 window. Post Ashley I'd say it's a 10 out 10, even trying to sign players is a improvement (if you follow what i mean with that nonsense). One other thing as well on Wood. While a lot of us don't rate him and think as i do, that he was far too expensive, our manager clearly rates him and sees him fitting in what he wants to keep us up. We'll have to wait on see on that, and time will tell.
