So Ashley has stepped in to assure that he is indeed backing Rafa as promised. So as expected, the media reports were total bullshit.
-
Don't see the problem in signing older players.. how old was Zola when he went to Chelsea? Or Vialli, Deschamps etc etc...
-
This is journalists taking an absolute fucking liberty with something he may have said in the January window. They have nothing to write about because all they can do is link us these players which never comes to anything. Tammy Abraham seems like a nightmare to deal with, or his whole entourage. If we were truly in for him my guess is the moment the wild requests started coming in, Rafa said no because dressing room team spirit is important to him. He's not gonna sign someone who is going to unsettle things. Journalists reason he must be frustrated by the market which then snowballs to him being on the brink of walking. It's nonsense and trouble making. Any of the journos engaging in this story should be unfollowed, fucking teach them that writing click bait is not good enough. Not one quote in all of those articles.

I saw Hamman's debut for us against Bray Wanderers in a pre season. Scored an absolute belter from near the halfway line. He'll always be seen as a Judas for going to Liverpool, on the flip side.. he was given a copy of mein kampf for a xmas present by the players. I'm not surprised he wanted out.

Fernando would be far less of a risk imho, but good to see us being linked with players in the positions that have been a problem historically
-
Seems to be more in the Fernando rumours, personally would be quite excited by this signing. He reads the game well and just does the simple things which give players like Shelvey the time to do what they're good at. To put in perspective, I would imagine his defensive stats over his time at Porto and few appearances for City are similar to William Carvalho (the glaring difference between them is long range passing, Carvalho would rival Shelvey..) Comparing him to Colback is idiotic. One can tackle, one cannot. One is strong, one is not. One wins headers, one does not... and so on.. you get the picture. Be more than happy if Rafa got him in, especially at that price, in the prime of his career.
-
It looks like he's systematically making his investments less complicated, cutting ties etc. He's definitely up to something.
-
Interesting. How much negotiating would Carr have done with players? He may have had a part in missing out on some of our supposed targets.
-
They're in a heap as it is, I'm not sure how much extra damage this clown could do in their circumstance. As funny as it would be, I really wouldn't wish it on them.
-
How much money did he put into buying shares in Rangers? There's a bigger picture to him just selling up and letting the retail contract go. If there's a real offer on the table for us, one that would mean him selling up everything. It would make sense that there's going to be first a separation between Sports Direct the club merchandise. Graham Carr leaving only raises more questions. Was it over a power struggle with Rafa, or does he know something about the future of the club, a future where possibly Rafa has all the assurances from new owners where he did not?
-
Quite possible, the hold up with this particular one is odd. He had a release clause which was met, player agreed terms and just seems to be waiting on the nod to come for the medical.
-
He wasn't a bad sort. Perhaps some dodgy judgement at times, but how much of that would have been influenced by Ashley. He was however a mouthpiece for the regime in some truly awful times and never made a fuss when having to work with the likes of Pardew. So basically at worst he's a spineless scout with questionable judgement. Never got caught in brothels or fiddled with children either, that's a plus. And did bring in one or two decent players. Wish him the best.

City have made an approach for William Carvalho. Although it's a wee bit shady as his agent is Guardiola's brother.. who mentioned that we were the other interested club. He's the only player we've been spuriously linked with that I've been genuinely excited about. Would be like buying an extra few places higher in the league, he would be that effective. Could be difference in City winning the league again.

Sorry if posted before but you can buy the home shirt without the logo online. Expensive enough at 70 quid but it's easily puma's best effort with us.
-
Before he went for 12m to Stoke a year later. And they probably even over payed for him
-
I suppose just because he might have it to spend doesn't mean he will. If he's gonna spend big I reckon it'll be for a winger or a striker.
-
A player like what? £9m buys a pretty s*** player these days, doesn't really tell you much. A player will above average skills who knows where the goal is. 9m seems low, could be a total steal though.
-
9m was the fee being mentioned, seems very low for a player like that.
-
Ideally better to be buying a player. None of us know the real budget Rafa has to work with though. It's hard to figure out if we're really in for the players we're being linked with. If we did have a bigger pot to spend, it could be clever from the club when it comes to negotiations over transfer fees by playing the poor mouth now. Kid looked a prospect, no loss though. Badly advised players earn reputations quickly.

He's floating over to do his medical. Deal should be announced some time in August

Who's still paying for it though? Kodi has done the job for me for several years now Watch your letterbox. Nah, an ISP can only send you out a letter telling you to be careful etc, or that you're using too much bandwidth and slow things down. Also if it's run through a VPN it would even be harder or next to impossible for them to know. The party will be over eventually, but not for a long while yet. Andoid boxes going mainstream will speed up the process but as soon as something is shut down, something else and more complicated will take it's place. The nerds who created all this file sharing will stay faithful to it's ethos, these guys will always be smarter and steps ahead of the people the companies employ to deter them.

Ferk off with those computer ratings, they mean nothing. This isn't SMB.

Hong Kong is due to be absorbed back into China in the next few years i believe. For now though, it's still one of the biggest places to do business.

With the amount of players we've been linked with, the easiest thing in the world to do is say we're not gonna be signing them. Ryder knows nout when it comes to what Rafa is doing. The cunt is stealing a living running stories speculating or pouring cold water on twitter rumours. Has he ever carried out any real journalism?
