He's huge for a lad of his age but also slow, could he lose a few pounds and gain an extra step? Probably. Who would be brave enough to tell him though? Would love to see him get more goals but i can't complain about his overall effort for the team. A lovable oaf is a good description but there could always be a darker side.. I reckon it's like walking on eggshells having a character like that around, there's always that risk that his mind could snap at any given moment

The lad is still a kid ffs. He has all the tools to become a top center back, but let's all jump on him and give him dogs abuse because he's not Franco Baresi yet..

Brighton look very tired.

Ronaldo is a thoroughbred race horse. Like Frankel, a genetic freak.. He has to work extra hard to compensate for his lack of Messi type skill. Which he does. He scores a shed load of goals with an unusual toe poke style of striking the ball. If he wasn't so fast/fit/strong he'd be a bang average footballer but take nothing away from him. He works his tail off to get the chances he gets in games. If Ayoze had even a sniff of that sort of professionalism he'd be a superstar.

Double jeopardy in impersonating a professional footballer?

Newcastle United lose Judicial Review against HMRC

Lack of statement suggests that it's been chaos there today. They want to be all singing from the same hymn sheet but since communication has been taken away from certain people..... -

It's all idle speculation, none of us have a clue really. -

With the whole FIFA investigation going on, one would have to be a complete cretin to think any sort of dodgy dealings was a good idea. Hopefully there's enough in there that he never has anything to do with the club again. -

Ha! It was all going just a little bit too well... Ashley is a slippery crook though, i suspect his dealings are covered quite well and any legal investigation will be buried in litigation from his lawyers making any sort of repercussions difficult. -
I didn't get to see a whole lot of it and the times i have we've either been brilliant or pure rubbish. It seemed to me that our style of play took a dip after Cathro left, Benitez needs to replace him accordingly.

That'll do pig, that'll do.

Diddling kids isn't worth talking about when the club played said diddler while knowing facts about the case.. but talk smack to a female journalist/reporter and that's when the club have gone too far!? Priorities eh! Pure madness

At the risk of sounding pedantic, the phrase is actually 'Moo Point'. You know, like a cow's opinion, it doesnt matter...its moo. yes, i see what you mean meow

It's a mute point, the fact is that most of us who were around to live and breathe the magic of the Keegan era are now in our late 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's +... we're dying off year by year so that number will constantly dwindle. The younger fan have had nothing but full on depression associated with this club for the best part of 15 years, it's all they know. The magic we experienced is no more than a 2 minute Youtube montage to them. Ashley leaving won't attract new people because these younger supporters don't know any different. They associate NUFC with a toxic atmosphere and although Rafa being here is going some way reversing it, it's gonna take an equal amount of time and a whole new era that we can't even fathom right now before this club gets another drastic boost like it did back in the 90's. Unfortunately for some of us, we may never see this happen in our lifetime and for a lot of others, life will simply get in the way so that we aren't really paying all that much attention any more. I just wanna see us compete against the best teams with a good style of football and have another go at the league. Crowd sizes should be left to those who wanna bicker with Mackems about who the bigger club is.

Yes it has. Apparently only a handful of these in the UK and only one registered in Ireland. Is his helicopter red? http://theliberal.ie/update-helicopter-carrying-5-people-crossing-the-irish-sea-is-still-missing-thermal-scanners-have-been-deployed-tonight/ *pray for Mike

He needs to sort his backroom for next season. From what i can tell our form somewhat and most definitely how well we were playing took a bump when Cathro left. Again though, I have every faith in this man to do what's best for the club if he's allowed to.

Oh they were sold a pup, that's for sure. In fact, Wijnaldum was equally as good business for us. Expect a return to this model once we return to the PL

So Colback is having a good game then?

It's a tough one. We love Rafa, we love Mitrovic. But let's not start complaining about Rafa's tactics.. that's stupidity.. and how fucking short of a memory do some of you have? Pardew/Carver/McLaren??? Just remember them before you start complaining about Rafa's system. Yeah it would be great if Mitrovic could fit in but I trust Rafa's vision for the club over having fan favourites in the side. He's had 1 window to sort out a steaming pile of horse shit. There's bound to be more problems he needs to iron out before we really see "his system" working effectively. If it's between Rafa and any player, I'll go with Rafa any day of the week. If Mitro does leave he'll go with best wishes. I really like the lad but I'll be first to admit that he's not the player I thought we were signing (a prolific goal scorer) Whether Anderlecht had a particular style that just really suited him or the league was way poorer than even the championship? Who knows.

That IS racist. A Russian woman compared me to a gorilla this week. Unimpressed. Because she was Russian?

Fuck that ref. Positives.. Hayden, total controlled aggression in his tackling and overall another solid display as a unit, especially after we went down. In reality, there's very little we could have done to win the game after the ref and linesmen did their bit. Even the yellow cards were particularly soft.. just awful. The look Forest's manager gave Rafa at the handshake said it all.
-
If you watch the replay, the Forest player lost control of the ball and was stumbling before Dummett ran into him. That ref is crooked as fuck. There should be an inquest after this. Cunts like that shouldn't have a job.
-
First angle I saw, it looked like he kicked out and connected slightly with the Forest player making a massive meal of it. Second angle, he didn't even connect and the player still made a meal of it. Ref has been duped there as the linesman couldn't actually see what happened from where he was standing. Any professional player should know better than to get in tangles like that in first place so for that Shelvey is a tit but very unlucky and definitely grounds for appeal in my humblest.
