I agree. In fairness he reached out to you before he set the thing up. He did nout wrong and got set on very publicly by Luke Edwards, Mick Martin et all. A very public apology and reach out to work with the guy would be best way forward. It's the only way you could turn the publicity into something positive and people would get behind it. -

Was there ever any solid confirmation that we actually bid for the cunt? He looked a decent sort though.
-
Arsenal and Spuds want him apparently. He won't start a game at Arsenal. But that won't stop a player moving there any way.
-
Comments section should be interesting. I bet there are many scores to be settled
-
I feel bad for the player in a way, his agent and club seem like total head cases to deal with. The bid from the Spanish club is only 1m more than what we offered.. i suspect if Rafa really wants or wanted this player he would get him regardless.
-
Does anyone remember when we played City maybe the season after Nigel De Jong had broken Ben Arfa's leg and he tried to lunge in on Tiote with a nasty one? He pretty much bounced off him and ended up on the floor in a heap with Tiote standing over him giving him the "oh you thought you could do that?.. silly boy" look. It's the little things like that i'll remember, probably more so than the Arsenal goal.

Disgraceful carry on. I can smell a rat fairly quickly and that lad certainly wasn't doing anything with bad intentions. MM and his TF buddies are just in the way at this point.. they have nothing interesting to contribute any more and are desperately seeking to remain relevant. And to use Cheik's death as a soap box is the ultimate scummy thing to do.
-
Very upsetting, RIP Cheik. Will be nice to see the club give him an appropriate tribute
-
I saw that, what a total cunt

What the fuck?! please don't be true..

Monreal is one of the fastest players in the league. There's plenty of reasons why he'd keep a place in any team. Gibbs looked decent not so long ago.. he just needs a new challenge
-
Actually seems like the perfect partner for Semedo, hypothetically. Have we agreed terms with the lad?
-
They're a different breed to us if that's how it works over there. It's the same for every club really.. unless it's a special player like Benny, for the most part players who leave here are roasted by us. I've seen a bit of Semedo and he looks like he has all the attributes.. I guess a little like David Luiz at Chelsea.. the only question is will he take as long to adapt to the English game. We can't afford to have someone training on the job. He won't be done for pace or muscled off the ball easily.. so it's all about his decision making and positioning, which Rafa is good at coaching. Does this mean Lascelles is being dropped? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He's leaving their club. Of course they think he's shite now.
-
Rafa does things sensibly.. I think he trusts Shelvey so his place is probably safe but he doesn't know how bringing in someone like (say for example Carvalho) would change the way the overall midfield plays.. he may not want a Gayle type player up front next season. You can speculate how a player will look in a side but until he's actually there it's all guesswork. And then we've been looking at defenders who seem way more comfortable on the ball.. that will have a knock on effect to the midfield too. Abrahams on loan is sensible.. I think Rafa will keep Mitro too but he won't start much.
-
On the overall squad thing.. don't expect every position in the team to be improved at once. Rome wasn't built in a day.. Rafa has a long term project just starting.. which he will build from the back, not the front. Anyone brought in on loan will be to give Gayle competition for his place. This summers budget will be spent at the back and some of the midfield. Next year he'll transform the attack, imho
-
Every one of them are prone to to that. If Bramble had a brain he could have been a force of nature. Not to be though. It's very easy for good players to get lost at a club like City or Chelsea with unlimited funds.. they know that one or two bad games and they'll just buy someone else. Here they'll fit in if they show the right attitude.. there's a reason City paid so much for him, just needs to be coaxed out of him in a safer environment.
-
He had a decent season with Liverpool? I can't say I've watched much (or any) PL at all this season. I don't blame him for not giving a shit.. he was sold a pup by Graham Carr, like many before him and when the reality of Shteve being boss set in.. he obviously lost the will to live (or make an effort) How much longer has De Jong got on his contract?
-
It's hard to keep up with the bull plop at this stage.
-
It's going forward that he struggles.. any full back in the PL has to be able to defend and contribute going forward. Good squad player to have though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Agreed it's full on silly season but this is also the first time in god knows how long that we have a man in charge who is a big enough draw to attract these players. It's quite enjoyable compared to previous years.. no harm getting into all the stupid speculation. Wages shouldn't be a problem when it does come to the bigger names though.. Coloccini was on over 80k which Mike was happy to pay and that was a few years ago.. 100k for an experienced top player is the going rate nowadays.
-
And you made that assessment based on a few minutes on the pitch at the end of the game? yes. he's an oaf.
-
Chelsea were still in that game even with 10 men.. Costa was getting chances. Imagine that was us in a cup final in the same position.. like 5 minutes to go and we bring on someone who essentially helps the opposition run down the clock by pushing people over repeatedly.. they'd be getting ridiculed on here.. and rightly so. From his French clips he does indeed look like a powerful player, cut from the same cloth as Louis Saha maybe. It could take the lad a few years to get to grips with the PL though, something we wouldn't benefit from by taking him on loan for a year.
-
I'm sure there's many a youtube video of him looking the business. And the result yesterday has nothing to do with my opinion.. he came on with limited time to try and rescue something for them, but instead could only bundle over Arsenal players or take up all the wrong positions in the few times he had the ball. Just suggests a lack of intelligence to me and for that reason i'd pass. Rafa knows best though.
