Conor Wigwam apparently called the police after becoming aware of mentions of it on social media. I do wonder what his team mates thought about having to play with him, although they did seem to celebrate with him during goals etc.. orders from the top perhaps?

    Steve McClaren

I would be completely ambivalent about someone like Moyes coming in, look at Everton ffs.. Martinez has them playing far superior football. Do you think any of their fans would want him back? The guy who Pochettino learned his trade under (Marco Biesla), Guardiola once remarked that he was the best manager in the world.. but even aside from him, there's a few others he had under him who have done well in European football, La Liga I think.. Gerardo Martino. Emery would be a top, top appointment for any team who can coax him. To think West Ham had a sniff of getting him last summer.

Why? To which part? Why would you want Rodgers over Moyes. Moyes is in a rut, he was laughed out of Spain, laughed out of Manchester.. he found a comfort zone at Everton, who despite being mediocre have always been a far more stable club than us. I don't dislike the guy but that's no reason to want him in as a manager. Rodgers went a bit flat at Liverpool but was he really doing any worse than Klopp is now? I don't particularly like Rodgers but I reckon his ideas may get more enthusiasm from our bunch, the rotten wasters.. Our club responds to having a larger than life personality at the helm, now neither Rodgers or Moyes fall into that category.. Rafa would be far superior but ultimately not realistic as Ashley wouldn't throw that kind of cash at something sensible..

I would take Brenda over Moyes any day of the week, Rafa would have to be paid an obscene amount to even consider it.
  5. Yep, embarrassing. It was assumed we were good last week when in fact it was probably more down to how shit West Brom were. This final scoreline could be 7 or 8, Tiote, Shelvey or Mitro will be sent off before this is over too.

Trust me, anything they do or don't do about this will be decided by their legal staff. Making an ethical decision is completely out of their hands until the case is over. The fans on the other hand are utter cunts, they know as much as everyone else in terms of the facts and are still supporting him in the stands or on social media. There's a lot of misinformation going about as to the girl in question, i've seen what she looks like and it's fairly obvious she's a bairn. His missus is a cracker in fairness, she must be in between a rock and a hard place in terms of walking away. They aren't married, she has his kid and she's probably on the cusp of her looks deteriorating, never mind her reputation taking a battering over sticking by him through all this, wouldn't be good for her to walk away from any security his money could provide

It's amazing the lengths some people will go to get away from SAFC. I hope the judge sentences him to a new 5 year contract.
  8. If he had the pace to go along with all his other qualities, he'd be one of Europe's top strikers. I love his attitude, for a 21 year old he's a tough son of a bitch. Hope he stays for a few more seasons, I would be concerned for the long term that at 21 he should really be at his fastest, so in terms of his mobility it's only gonna get worse. The lad can finish though. He'll be our top scorer by end of season.
  9. I've calmed down a bit. I didn't expect us to win tonight but it was the manner of the defeat which stings. We're in a relegation dogfight and we have a manager who chooses an experimental total lightweight forward line instead of a system that we know causes teams problems (which really was our only shot tonight) He could have left Perez or Wijnaldum (or both) on the bench tonight and been brave, but he's shown himself to be a total coward when it comes to making those difficult decisions.
  10. If we stick with McClaren we're down, if we change for another shit manager, we're down. The 1 signing which would keep us up can be made right now and all Ashley has to do is get his chequebook out and pay a decent fucking manager to sort out this fucking mess. And don't wait another month, do it now. We're fucked otherwise. The only viable option that we might have a sniff at is Rafa Benitez, whatever it was that he was gonna offer Berahino in wages, offer it to Rafa.. it would be money better spent.
  11. I now think the likelihood by end of season is that we will go down, just can't see any of those cunts putting it about enough to force change. All journos saying we had a great transfer window. Are we actually any stronger? Shelvey = give him about a minute to think of where he wants to pass and he looks amazing, don't give him a minute and he's about as useful as Mary's diaphragm. Saivet = Not impressed at all, Tiote a far more effective player (which is saying something) Townsend = Fast costly midget, will not be effective against decent opposition (which is everyone it seems) Doumbia = Fuck knows, probably won't play very often. Oh and the manager is a clown, he brings on a player who couldn't hold on to the ball once last time out against inferior opposition. When the game is screaming out for Mitrovic. Why do we fucking bother?
  12. The team selection is killing us. Makes no sense whatsoever.
  13. Did we even bid 21 million? Mad money but for the sake of a few million, you can have a foreign striker with a good record, but unproven in the PL, or someone who can play and score in this league. If it's what keeps us up why not offer 25? For what it's worth, I think Remy will end up signing for us on loan
  14. Here's an idea. 4-2-3-1. Wijanldum and Shelvey in the middle. Ahead have Perez on the right and Townsend on the left. Ahead of them playing the no.10 role is Sissoko. Mitrovic leading the line. Saivet or Colback can be brought on to see a game out. My reasoning for Sissoko playing so advanced: he does make great runs with the ball. Usually playing from deep. He doesn't quite have the passing to play central midfield but both Wijnaldum and Shelvey can. Perez also has good footwork and can link play well. If Sissoko could time his runs to pick up on Mitrovic's knock downs or to latch onto through balls from midfield he could be unstoppable. Townsend is the unknown quantity, he has pace and seems to like a shot but can he cross a ball? No idea. Thauvin in fairness had the same attributes, the lad was never given a chance here and to be honest i'd sooner see him play than the new lad but that's life. If he wants to go back to France let him, but the scout should be fired over that. Screams of a youtube signing..

    Andros Townsend

Hallelujah, another winger to get a rare start in the cup games we go out of next season, and only 12 million this time! Good work by all, especially Daniel Levy
  16. Odear

    Loïc Remy

Neither, Remy is just a mercenary. His heart will not be in it if things get really twitchy. He'll come for the wages but he has no interest in playing for us. Another player linked with us in the past who might just be allowed to leave is Shane Long, be about a 3rd the price of most other strikers, pace to burn and knows where the goal is. Be perfect to play with Mitrovic
  17. What on earth is Townsend going to offer that would have made a difference on Saturday? If buying to ensure we stay up is the goal, a left back is a must, then a striker and probably a central defender. I did think Colo had been doing ok but yet again he falls asleep, yes the goal was offside but he wasn't even watching the run. He will cost us the points to stay up by continually doing that. How stupid do these supposed football professionals have to be not to realise this?

    Jose Mourinho

    It worked for Michael Owen.
  19. We won't be signing anyone. Same typical non answer that Pardew used to spout. In fact, if Napoli really have bid 27m for Sissoko, he'll be away at the end of the window. Then the old "we tried but we couldn't get them over the line" shite will be spouted. I wouldn't be devastated if he did leave actually, it's just the same gambling as every season. I do think McClaren has improved things since last year but the fact is he isn't good enough to improve us enough. Forget strikers or defenders, the most important signing of last summer should have been a top manager. It would have been a damn sight cheaper than having to pay 20m for a player who might score goals. This gobshite spent the week training the players, and i'm singling out Aarons here. Did he get stage fright or was he just well off the pace after being out for a year? What would possess a manager to pick a player who wasn't up to the job when the club is staring down relegation. He should be fired on that basis alone.
  20. We'll have the last laugh when his left leg explodes. Why? I like the player, and wish the club had paid the 15m for him during the summer. He wanted to come here, we never made a bid. You know him , do you? What are you on about? It was widely reported over the summer that he would welcome a move here. Or do you back up childish statements with petulant ones?
