Less then 72 hours ago, a number of those players were involved against Barcelona, coming to Bournemouth now with a severely under strength starting 11 as Eddie prepares for another week of multiple games, against a team we typically struggle with, that has had a good start to the season. Im happy with a point, as boring as it was. Defensively we look solid, with Botman or for so long I was glad to see he still looks immense. Thiaw is not fit enough yet, but looks like he will grow into becoming a class.defender. We need Wissa back though, Woltemade dropping deep and playing it out to Murphy created massive holes that no one was running into, Wissa and possibly Gordon should be able to really exploit this movement

Some proper shit calls from the ref this game
-
Sunderland with about as red a card as you will see
-
I thought it was issues with our coverage and I was hearing random background noise
-
Wondering if he will have Thiaw play more of a defensive midfield role to push Willock out wide. Thats probably me just playing too much football manager though.

I know its Barcelona, but feels like a tough loss here.
-
Of course a minute later Murphy proves me wrong
-
Looking toothless without Elanga now
-
No keeper in the world saves that

Were playing well here

Feel my local Sunday league team has more atmospherethen this game.

But the money flowed from Saudi Arabia to liverpool via the nunez sale, the to us via Isak sale. Really liverpool is just a chance for them to wash their funds before they get to us. Genius move by PIF

Wants to resist foreign investment in the league as cant afford to risk levelling the playing field and other clubs being able to buy talented players there

Absolutely no issue for me what he's said there, BDB would know what the issue is, handing the questions the way he did draws a line under the sand. If he were to address the actual issue of isak going on strike the next question obviously becomes about wissa doing the same, and then opens a whole can of hypocrisy worms for him and the squad to deal with. This diplomatic answer would've been the advice given to him, and is right at home with how Howe would want it done.

8.5/10 poor preparation hurt us at the start, we should have had Wilson's replacement lined up 12 months back, so to then get Isaks tantrum forcing us to need 2 strikers became more damaging then it should have been. Though our ceiling is definitely not as high without Isak, I think the squads potential is alot better then it was, all the players are young enough to have room for growth, except Wissa who should help for the next couple seasons as they develop. And the they are arguably all better then the players they have replaced. We lack the ability to compete for the world class players and instead have to get players with massive potential and I think thats what weve done,in a few years I think we will look back on this window as the one that we really needed to have to overhaul the squad. Our lack of CEO and Sporting Director are now the immediate concerns, to start getting some proper direction and leadership within the club

Had to wildcard for round 3, this season is shit
-
At least it should be easy to fall back to sleep after that.

This game has definitely not been worth getting up at 230am for.
-
Schars head injury and the lack of concern from the ref should result in disciplinary action purely from a safety standpoint Wont happen of course.
-
His red card was a silly mistake, but he had been sprinting around pressing their backline and miss timed the tackle and hit the back not front of VVD, wasn't malicious or hot headed, was him grafting and giving everything and then making a small but costly mistake. Hes shown the humility to instantly accept his mistake and apologise and ill not hold it over him.

Pretty sure what we can all agree on is that knees are shit
-
Done both mine, both times I was walking around on it afterwards. Second one hospital even said I hadnt torn it as I could walk on it, even though I knew the feeling, and it put back my reconstruction and diagnosis by 12 months before I was listened to about it

Get the fuck in

Imagine if a ref played on while liverpool had a head injury on the ground, thered be a minute silence the next week
