  1. Was a massive ask of him to play out of position and replace Isak, but he did it despite not being comfortable in the role. Can't ask anymore of him really.
  2. A point up on where i expected to be after this game, we all know where our issue lays, so won't repeat it. But the way the team dug in and made Villa look poor in the first half is a great performance, makes me feel alot better about the season then i was 24 hours ago. If we can get a top quality striker or 2 in, we will cause alot of teams headaches this year. Really liked Elanga's performance, unlucky with that first shot, but he kept Digne busy, and that ball he put through for Gordon to win the red card on was brilliant. I think he will be instrumental for us this season. Eddie Howe set us up perfectly for the game today, and Emery couldn't work out how to break us down.
  3. Would've been happy wiht a point here before the game, will still take that now.
  4. Villa bring on some wider players and i feel like they will cause us some problems.
  5. yeah cant argue with that card, but its typical Digne has been let off a couple times already and we get the first card
  6. we're sitting so high with no pace in our backline, this is going to be terrifying
  7. This year its alot harder to make decision when I cant just bet against southampton every week.
  8. He wouldnt be let back in with the squad without the leadership group approving it, if they feel he is worth bringing him back into the fold then id trust them to make the right call for the team. Isak is a petulant child, but I cant see the likes of Trippier, Lascelles and Bruno letting a bad attitude corrupt the team cohesion.
  9. Its not having him back with the squad, let him spend his time kicking a ball at a wall by himself, its sending the message that being a prick wont get you what you want, otherwise we are just rewarding this player and saying its acceptable for others to do in the future, and lets clubs know they can unsettle our players successful. Sell the cunt, Im fine with that, but not to Liverpool.
  10. Selling to Liverpool sets the standard that the way this has unfolded is acceptable and will result in nonNUFC parties getting what they want. Keep Isak training by himself for as long as the leadership group feel he should be, or until a non Liverpool team comes and offers our valuation. Caving on this just sets a precedent not that we will sell our best assets, because thats fine, we can do that when appropriate. It sets the standard that if a players are bigger then us, and that will have more damaging impact on the squad as they see Isak being rewarded for derailing their preseason.
  11. No fee we would get for him is going to cover what he brings to the squad, would hate to see him go.
  12. Some great shouts there, Tonali and Murphy's tight angles are right up there. But the feeling of watching Burn bury that header in the final and the belief that our decades long drought would soon be over that followed it, that's a once in a lifetime feeling as it changes the direction of the club entirely
  13. We don't do things the easy way.
  14. Press conference needs to be big ange walks in, Aussie flagged dropped around his shoulders, he has all the medals he's won on. "Told you, I win trophies in my second season" Drops the mic and walks out
  15. Commentator bouncing between garnacho, Yoro and Porro feels like a dragon Seuss book being read out
  16. It's only 6, maybe 10, from a squad of 25 that gives alot of players that are potentially replaceable. We would want to ensure that we've got some continuity from this season.
  17. Almost impressive the ability tu to not score there
  18. Chelsea seem to continually get everything given in their favour while rarely getting pulled up for being the snide cunts they are. Fucking hate that club

    Dan Burn

Yeah got to say, while Tonali transformed us into another level, Burn had barely put a foot wrong, and done so much to get us to where we are, his mentality and love for the club you can tell is infectious and I feel he embodies the club more then anyone. The way he demanded the free kick be given to him before he sets up Bruno's goal shows a level of confidence amongst such top class players i don't think he would've had a few seasons back, and his goal in the final i don't think I'll ever forget. Absolutely love Big Dan Burn, and would love to see him rewarded with player of the season this year
  20. How's schar got a card yet caicedo not
  21. Straight red, so 3 games. 2 yellows is 1
