At this point, even if we finish 5th it's still an amazing season, but the concern for me would be the psychological impact on the team, losing so many points in such a short period of time at such a crucial part of the season, how do they go into the office season, hows the moral. I'm sure Howe will be able to steady it all, but there's definitely elements of the fans that would be vocal about how they feel after a poor run of 5 games that it would take. And again, 5th would still be an absolutely amazing achievement considering most had a goal of top 10 at the start of the season

This is how I've been feeling, kept saying I wouldn't feel confident until after the next weekends result, realised I won't feel comfortable until it's a mathematical certainty. Much rather this concern then looking for points to avoid the drop though

I'm as paranoid as the next person about us missing the champions league at this point of the season, but the gap between us and 5th is bigger then the gap between us and 2nd and I don't think arsenal are sitting there worried about us over taking them with the number of games left. For liverpool they will need to win all their remaining games, I can't see them winning 9 in a row, even with their fixtures remaining, and for us to lose more games then we've lost in the rest of the season combined. While it's entirely possible, it's not likely at all. I'll still not feel comfortable until we've got it confirmed mathematically though, which i think will be when we play Brighton at home.

They've slowed down after their first 15 minutes, I'd expect another frantic start again, hopefully we can weather that, then put this game to bed. I dont think this Everton team have the stamina to handle 45 more minutes of high intensity football, and we always look for still in the final 10 when other teams are slowing down.

Seeing the impact Fraser has had playing with the reserves, I'd love to see Ritchie take on a role as player coach with them next season, his leadership and the example he seems to set, I think would do wonders for them while he starts to transition to more or a coaching role long term

Well I'm glad it was the 930pm kick off and I didn't stay up to 3am to watch that 38 games in a season was always going to be one game that we dropped the ball on, on there plus I heard from all the villa I know tonight that I'd not spoken to for a while so it's good to know they survived the Gerard times.
