  1. Would be such an interesting trio to start a rebuild with under Rafa. All between 25 and 27 years old, so a good balance of experience and still got some youth. Lots of talent and potential to unlock still in all three. Caulkin thinks Rafa is likely to remain in China for the time being. I don't think Rafa will break his contract with them
  2. I think he was more referring to Lallana and Dunk. Lallana is past his best and Dunk is no better than we already have. Agree with that
  3. You mean around 100 people on Twitter? Most of them coming across as illiterate Maybe it’s just Twitter. When he speaks on the radio he’s always come across sensible and balanced. His various articles regarding Bruce this season have been stubbornly ignorant though and play up to the 'over-expectant Geordies' myth. If you read what I said earlier I said his stance on Bruce aside as he’s become intrenched. Bruce has only been at the club 2/3 of a season. Luke Edwards has been reporting on us for many years. Slaying him for everything when ultimately it’s about his stance on Bruce just makes you become the mirror image of the person you are criticising. I brought up his Bruce coverage in regards to the earlier point of his distasteful habit of goading the fanbase It's not ultimately about Bruce either, Edwards has reveled in adopting a counter-position throughout this takeover, when discussing the Companies House documents when they first emerged, he was going on and on about how they didn't make any sense Your last sentence would hold more weight if you hadn't dismissed many of our fans on a social media platform as illiterate.

  5. Can't understand why he's crying on, his own colleague at The Telegraph has written a high-profile article just the other day, stating the deal is expected to conclude next week
  6. Strange, Caulkin has denied any approaches for managers and said that they don’t even have a short list. Caulkin also said the Premier League checks would take up to 4 weeks
  7. Would be an absolutely dreadful signing, even for our current squad I always believed there was some talent there and he just needed to stay clear of injuries and work under a manager that coach away the negatives in his game 119 appearances 4 goals 10 assists He's been coached by Howe, Klopp and Rodgers, some of the most positive managers working in the game. He's absolute rubbish at this level. You can't seriously believe that he would in any way improve the team.
  8. Are you for real? We might become the richest club in the world and you want to sign Jordan Ibe, we might as well keep Rolando Aarons. He's not good enough for the Premier League
  9. Shocking article and looks like he’s taken it down Just makes me even more hopeful that this takeover does goes through to spite the lot of them
  10. He's such a fucking loser. "Get a few results" has been the height of the ambition under the current owner, unfortunately for Bruce he's a special case and that's not good enough for most PL clubs. And no surprise Bruce has the typical PFM opinion that the reason he's never been trusted to spend big money is because he's English, rather than the fact he's shit and lazy and clueless. Thankfully he will have to stop pretending to be an actual geordie soon, as that's rank AF. He has been trusted with big money though and he unsurprisingly fucked it up I don’t get the media’s dissonance on that point, he was only at Villa a couple years ago when he spent all that money to be bottom half of the championship. Most of the same media were even hounding him out. You would have thought it was ancient history the way it’s all been conveniently forgotten about
  11. No need to refresh as they won't announce it tonight but it's a sign it's done. Covering all the bases there I almost pity the Chronicle at this point. They get a lot of the big stories wrong, and the majority of their feature content could be summarised on a matchbox. Best one of recent years has to be Ryder writing a big piece on how we weren’t going back in for Almiron that morning Fee was agreed and he was on a plane to Newcastle in the afternoon

  13. Disagree with the last bit in this mind, it’s clear why she’s involved in any such opposition, but questioning why it’s an internal process is strange.
  14. Why would the Premier League even grant her a meeting? She’s got nothing to do with this takeover process whatsoever.
  15. That's dreadful and constitutes bullying Never understood why Delaney has warranted such venomous reactions, he's been vocal about the 'sportswashing' angle for years, covering City and PSG on numerous occasions. It's not exclusive to Newcastle United. The only fault I've found in his rhetoric has been his sometimes brash exchanges with fans where he's insinuated we shouldn't support the team anymore and advocated for a phoenix club, both of which are not only completely unrealistic, but also mask the intricacies of the overriding issue Totally agree with this. I agree with his overall rhetoric but I'm not a fan of all of it, I think our fans instantly attacking him has made it worse and he's entrenched himself in that position now. Yeah, I believe a reason for him doing that is because our fans are going at him daily trying to unearth a 'GOTCHA' moment every time So there's no real motivation to achieve middle-ground on the topic now

  17. Why do people have some weird urge to like the owners? The 13 years of Ashley's neglectful ownership has engendered the defensive discourse you're seeing across our fanbase It's a symbolic break from an era of failure, no real surprise there's a desperation to repel anyone or anything that seeks to undermine what may be before it even gets going People should remember the glee that greeted Ashley's arrival because nobody could be worse than Shepherd and maybe temper themselves a bit. It's not some sort of betrayal to view potential new owners with a significant degree of suspicion. Agreed However it nonetheless represents an opportunity for something new, which I think carries far greater weight for any fanbase

  19. There's just no need for any of our fans to play ignorant in regards to the prospective takeover, it's obvious at its core that it's a 'sportswashing' venture from Saudi How that affects your relationship with the club going forward is up to you mind.
  20. I think if everyone knew that for a fact, then it would be cool. The likes of George and those close to the process are predicting it is going to be long. Caulkin said it would be up to 4 weeks a month ago So he’s changed his tune
  21. Offer still very much open lads. Since you're quoting yourself What happened to this then?
