  1. Agree a million percent on that.
  2. A record that always stuck in my mind; we did not win at St. James' in the PL when behind at half time for 12 years. December 2006 vs Reading all the way to Man City under Benitez in January 2019.
  3. From those who saw enough to comment, as I can only go off auld highlights; is he a better finisher than Cole or nah? Cole's scoring rate for us is an absolute joke, like. Took him 50 games to score 50 goals. Suppose that answers itself.
  4. Had a deek; 15 points gained from losing positions this season.
  5. Our record at coming from behind to pick points up this season must be mad.
  6. After we went in front there was no way we weren’t winning that. They’re dire.
  7. Professional. Job done. Happy days.
  8. What a bit of play from Murphy. unreal finish GET IN
  9. Also hope this co commentator goes home to find his house has been burgled tonight.
  10. Right. Win this, for fuck sake man.
  11. Can't even watch it as all the rivers are shite.
  12. And that ^ I remember tbf; when we had a stoppage time equaliser ruled out at Anfield only to score another one immediately after. Stuck I think a tenner on Willock next goalscorer as soon as he was subbed on.
  13. I'm surprised you remember any matches at all tbh, Paully. I don't remember most of them but I do remember the first one (Sheff Utd), West Ham away opening day, Burnley ASM masterclasses home and away, Southampton (Willock debut), Leicester away (won 4-2) and the final two with limited capacities vs Sheff Utd and Fulham. The rest all blur into one given how abject many of the showings were.
  14. That season was my personal nadir. Lowest I've ever felt and COVID/lockdown on top of that. Grim. I think also February onwards that season is why I'll always have a massive soft spot for Willock; despite him being poor for a while now these days. Him and ASM were all we had at that point (as Wilson was injured mostly, again).
  15. From a Leicester ITK so probably bullshit but rumours going around in Leicester circles that Van Nistelrooy is close to walking. Was promised signings and nowt happening. If true, what an absolute shambles that club is. Mad given how they were the envy of most of the league 3-6 years ago.
  16. I’ll try and go, need to check what I’m working.
  17. Aye. Only been ruthless really with Chris Wood thus far.
  18. Whey, you know what I mean. The one de facto signing section. English football clubs and many fans, especially our lot, are massive fannies when it comes to standing. What was that poll or questionnaire where a few answered “oh aye bring safe standing in just as long as it doesn’t affect me”.
  19. Also true. Worst kick off slot going. Hope it gets binned (it won’t).
  20. It’s a multitude of things. Not ordered in any rank; - Club not actively looking at ways to improve atmosphere, ie more safe standing or more singing sections across the ground - A percentage of STH who are inherently miserable, yet see themselves as class fans because they’ve been inherently miserable in the same seat for 3 centuries or whatever shite - The way tickets are sold and distributed. Loads of issues; allows some who aren’t that arsed access, touts access, people don’t have the (full) liberty of choice of where to sit. That’s obviously improved this season compared to last season’s whitey worthy system but it’s very, very rare that mates who could be vocal together will be able to sit together. Especially younger lads, say aged 16-30. - Ticket prices. It was minimum 50 quid for the match on Saturday in the lower bowl. Charging that much, as seen with Spurs’ prices and atmosphere, rightly or wrongly brings expectation. - The size of the family section. It’s huge and next to typically more vocal away fans. - The only 1 singing section being tucked away in the Strawberry Corner with SJP’s current acoustics. - Not one area of the ground aside from the corner stood up for a sizeable duration of the game, despite what seems every other PL club having significant areas of the ground that stand. All of that plus issues that are systemic issues across English football. It’s not just us, but actions could be taken to remedy it.
