West Ham treating Everton like a top 6 side. At home. Absolutely shit.
-
Ended up doing the same.
-
Unsure what game to watch, El Sackico or Leicester v Brighton.
-
Also going off what my Everton mate is saying, said he'd drive him up here tomorrow and that Gray and Onana are the only two players with any credit in the bank from this season for them atm. Should be avoiding Everton players like the plague. Obviously if Howe wants him then I have to trust him, he's done more than earn that. But going from talk of Maddison, Diaby, Trossard et al to Anthony Gordon is incredibly underwhelming.

The questions surely being asked of potential incomings would be are they an improvement on what we have? Will they help get us into the Champions League? Will they facilitate us being able to compete in 4 competitions next season, one potentially being the Champions League? Anthony Gordon is none of those imo.

Got a bizarre newfound Newcastle sized chip on his shoulder because its been pointed out that Hillsborough is still an archaic shithole.

Palace (a), West Ham (h), Bournemouth (a) then a big one against Liverpool (h). 9 points from the next 3 please, lads.

My Everton mate has said he's been utter shit this season. As has most of their team mind but said he's pretty much believed his own hype when £50m and Chelsea were being mentioned with his name in the summer. We can get far better for cheaper, surely.

Brazilian wonderkid on the cheap. Very FM. And Real Madrid-like. Dan Ashworth, what are you cooking?
-
-
He's served his purpose, played a role in us staying up comfortably from a position of genuinely deep shit. Nowt but the best from me.
-
How? I just see some footballers celebrating a win.
-
I don't see what issue is here? Players listening to music and dancing after getting into a League Cup semi final. How is this different to Dan Burn's dancing after we beat Leicester?
-
Maybe but the big six hardly ever do deals with each other either. Man City and Arsenal the only two I can think of with Jesus and Zinchenko but that's most likely down to Arteta and Guardiola being close. Almost all of the big six's main signings come from abroad.
-
Maybe but why did Villa loan us Targett in that window? Surely they'd have wanted us down as well? I wanted him on loan in January last year as we needed a wide attacking player and his form when he previously had regular game time when at West Ham was brilliant. Knew we'd be able to get a younger, better player once we'd stayed up.

Aye they just need to offer a way to get people's foot off the ground. I only started going to away games or at least trying to get to away games from when I was 15 but I could never get to loads due to school and cost. I had a measly 8 points () before I moved down to uni and chucked my ST due to the price hike, logistics, Ashley and Bruce. I've been able to get to Leicester last season and Fulham this season from tommo being exceptionally kind and sorting me out, but in order to get to away games that's the route I have to do it.
-
I rule out getting rid of the loyalty point system altogether, completely unfair on those that have done the miles and paid the money. But younger fans will never get the opportunity to follow us away like older fans did in the 80s and 90s, where I assume (correct me if I'm wrong) they were just sold on a first come first serve basis? You hear stories of like Derby, Leicester, Grimsby away in 1992 and 1993, the European aways, kids/younger fans will never get the chance in future which is a right shame.
-
Always thought that the only potential solution is to some way allow people to get their foot on the ladder via other means, ie x amount of points for every ST renewed, cup/European ticket bought, x amount for every away ticket bought still but 1 point per each bit of club merch from the shop or site bought, food/drink from the ground bought. Do the latter via swiping/scanning your membership or ST card when buying stuff in person (which would require the club to get on board with making ST/membership cards contactless or have a QR code that's scanned, mind). It's a closed shop atm and its looking like people with <20 points will never be able to get to an away game ever again in the coming years, as even when a potential game does drop relatively low those with high amounts of points will just buy them and sell them on. No system will ever be perfect like.
