  1. If Howe was to go I'd take a punt on Fabregas. Though it's an enormous gamble and moot anyway. Howe rightfully has the rest of the season barring a total disaster where we tumble into the bottom 6 and he has another summer window. If that and the start of next season doesn't go right then I can understand, plus probably would want, a change. Simeone, whilst a fucking awesome appointment it would be, is never happening imo. Would be incredible to see it but can't. Can't see Alonso being available at the time where Howe probably would be moved on. If it happened before Slot got the bullet then he may fancy it but again, it's all moot.
  2. #bantz aside I did think going into this window we'd bring a defender in. An injury to Hall and we're knackered. The hierarchy just need to get their shit together. From the moment Ashworth left it's been a shambles.
  3. Meh tbh. Been poor this season. Don’t think I’d shed any tears about any of the current squad leaving besides Bruno and Hall.
  4. Nigh on exactly where I'm at.
  5. Could be wrong but was it Palace at home? April 2016 on Connor Wickham?
  6. Been a great servant for the club. Stood up in 2016 as a young player when nee one else would and deservedly captain of the side under Benitez which got promotion and kept us there. Wish him nothing but the best.
  7. I'd argue it was more down to quite a poor away record that season (6 wins from 19, 5 of those coming after we exited Europe) as well as only being able to take 1 point from 2 games against Luton and throwing away a lead to 10 man Liverpool at home. 1 more win and that Man Utd win doesn't matter. Whilst I agree that it is undoubtedly a factor, my concerns is more the no real showing of evolution of how we play to be able to deal with 3 games a week better. We signed more of the same of what we had and/or what we didn't need in the summer in Elanga and Ramsey imo. No one we've signed recently, not just in the summer just gone, has allowed us to be able to play in different ways or exert control by being able to keep and pass the ball better. That, plus I don't think the squad management generally has been particularly good over the last 3 years. Players who should've been moved on a season or two ago are still getting regular minutes (Trippier, Willock, Pope and imo Joelinton) and players have been sold a lot more later than they should've been (Wilson & Almiron). 3 of those players mentioned got new contracts when they should've been sold. I think what we're watching this season is a culmination of all of those things. As well as the loss of Isak which has been immense. We've been backed into a corner with that and the jury is out on the two lads we've brought in. But I do think, certainly in Woltemade's case, that no attempt has been made to play to his strengths. He's regularly isolated, no midfielder near him and the wingers with chalk on their boots when he receives the ball. I see him as a Firmino type; will play through the middle in a front 3 but needs attackers and goal getters near him whether that's the two wingers or the two wingers plus a number 10-y type player that Howe's never played.
  8. Aye, this is a big part of my psyche atm. We as a club can’t afford to keep writing off 1 season in 2 because Eddie Howe can’t cope with managing 3 games a week regularly.
  9. Hell of a finish that, like.
  10. You’d like to think due to the quality of the sides in the Conference League and that there’s 6 matches in the league stage as opposed to 8 we could rotate a lot more for those matches. If we’re needing players like Bruno to be able beat the likes of Shamrock Rovers, Shkendija and Dynamo Eastern Bloc Bunch of Letters then we have serious problems.
  11. On a run of 8 away games unbeaten that I go to, winning 7. If the run ends against this lot I’ll be underneath the tube train at Seven Sisters at 10:09pm.
  12. You reckon there’s any chance he gets sacked soon or will they ride it out until the end of the season? Will fan malaise allow the latter?
  13. Aye. Truth is somewhere in the middle.
  14. Like a morgue in that ground. Nee cunt reacted to that going in.
  15. We were better in 22-23 for one. 12-13 also arguably.
  16. Battered by the worst Liverpool side in over 10 years. Just fuck off.
  17. Great challenge that. State of Kerkez. Rancid Magyar cunt.
  18. This. Mentality that it’s fine to just write off and excuse whatever happens in particular fixtures regardless of the context of the current season. I thought we were great first half but it’s devolved into another away collapse. Don’t care who it’s against or where it’s at. It’s crap.
  19. That didn’t seem to bother Forest, Burnley, Leeds, the mackems, Man Utd or PSV this season.
