  1. Posted an interview he did in the pre match thread, bulk of it is him talking about his time here. He seems a sound lad tbf. Booing opposition players because they were once on our books is embarrassing. Booing/whistling loudly whenever any of the opposition have the ball though, that's something I can get behind and would love to see. We barely do it though.
  2. Was after the restart. I remember Maxi getting 3 assists that day, don't remember Shelvey being great at all.
  3. Saturday was the best he's played since Man United (h) in February 2018, when we won 1-0. That day he assisted the goal and worked tirelessly off the ball, closing players down, winning the ball back. The weekend was reminiscent of that, but he simply has to keep that up. When he's like that he's superb.
  4. Watched a good chunk of the game back. God he was abysmal when he came on, could barely complete a pass. He's finished imo, wanted to give everyone a clean slate but he's been utter shit for over 2 years now.
  5. Aye. Massive games in January for us after too. 2 Jan - Southampton (a) 15 Jan - Watford (h) 22 Jan - Leeds (a)
  6. Did a results predictor up to matchweek 19 (Man Utd home), using 1-0 for wins and 1-1 for draws. Out of hope, I have us beating Norwich, Burnley and Leicester then drawing with Man Utd. Have us on 16 points, 17th, 1 clear of 18th. https://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-premier-league/
  7. Whilst it would be funny, the thought of him rocking up to SJP with Man Utd and beating us solely due to the quality that they have makes me nauseous.
  8. Even though I'm expecting nowt, still really looking forward to this. Howay.
  9. They have a lot of injuries tbf but they have looked vile when I've seen them. Fixtures coming up look shit too, can see it turning soon.
  10. This isn't true. Everton did it in 1994-95 albeit in a 42 game season, and Derby did it in 2000-01 in a 38 game season, going the first 13 without a win. Finished on 42 points.
  11. Leicester seem to be a shadow of the team from the past 2 seasons, when we go there in 3 weeks we can beat them imo, assuming we continue to improve. Southampton only just managed to draw against us under Bruce when they were by lightyears the better side, they're beatable. Leeds too. And Everton I don't fear at all also. Talking ourselves into a <5 sake
  12. Leicester and Everton are our most likely sources of points away from the Norwich/Burnley double header. Leicester leak goals similarly to us and by the time we play Everton it may have turned toxic v Benitez and Howe will have had far more of a stamp on the team by then.
  13. Dubravka has made 3 howlers from the top of my head that I can remember. And all goalkeepers have them at some stage. Spurs (a) February 2019, Son shot straight at him and it went through his gloves. Wolves (h) October 2019, flapped or mishandled a cross and they scored from it. Wolves (h) March 2020, Ruben Neves header goes through his hands. Darlow has made so much more going back to 2015-16 its untrue. Dubravka has to be back in.
  14. We need 3 wins by the time we've finished playing Southampton away on 2nd January to stay in touch imo.
  15. I'd bring Hayden in for Willock, Dubravka in for Darlow and Manquillo in for Murphy. Ritchie is poor defensively but I thought when we were in possession he was good. Toss up between him and Lewis tbh but I'm unsure whether to bring Lewis in for this.
  16. Leicester are leaking goals and have been all season; only kept 1 clean sheet all season which was v Wolves at home on the opening day. Arsenal I'm not hopeful for, they're capable of stinkers but they always turn up against us. We'll have to score at least twice to have a chance of getting anything and that isn't sustainable against sides with the attacking threat that they have.

    Joe Willock

Same. He was afforded more space yesterday by Maxi being out wide as he drags players out to him. He just needs more confidence and belief in himself as we all know he has the ability.
  18. Once we make up 3 points on 17th it'll look rosier, but that'll likely not happen v Arsenal. We need Burnley, Norwich, Leeds, Watford, Brentford and Southampton all to drop points. And simply we have to beat Norwich and Burnley plus probably get a good result at Leicester.
  19. We need to be beating Norwich and Burnley. Anything from Arsenal is a bonus.
  20. Get in. Howay you useless cockney pricks.
  21. It's looking really grim, like. Have to start winning games, simple as that. Think we're going to have get something from Arsenal and/or one of those games in mid to late December to just keep ourselves in touching distance when kinder fixtures come up.
  22. 7 points from safety as it stands.
